Final Fantasy VI is the greatest Final Fantasy game of the entire franchise, YES it’s my opinion, but damn!! Just that final sequence in this video of the epilogue where the heroes just finished slaying Kefka, and are all working together to leave Kefka’s Tower is just a scene that gives me goosebumps/chills and can definitely make a grown man shed a tear with how beautifully written the characters are, and how they interact with each other as the music in the background of that epilogue scene wonderfully hammers it in the emotional strings being pulled with the characters and perfect timing masterfully tells you a story with the names of the characters being displayed within the epilogue’s end credits that show us all the main cast of characters that we took this long journey with, and witnessing the long good-bye just as the characters are all just being themselves as they are working together to try and find a good easy way out of Kefka’s Tower after they slayed him & put an end to his Nihilistic rule. I still get chills while watching the end of the game’s story, it’s so emotionally amazing.
Dude hell yes, I would listen to you talk about final fantasy all day long, this game series has a special place in my heart and hearing my favorite podcast RUclipsr talk about it is a match made in heaven
In literature it's Shakespeare's, "exit pursued by bear." In Cinema it's Dr Strangelove, "Gentlemen, you can't fight in here. This is the war room!" In videogames, it has to be suplexing a ghost train.
You have done more than justice. I cried just like i did when i played it the first time all those years ago. Thank you so much for this cherished memory i unearthed
I remember being sooooooo young and using a baby monitor and a karaoke machine to record the songs onto tape (the karaoke being my sister's who lived upstairs and the SNES being in the basement). With the Internet I learned that the soundtrack could be had on CD. My dad got it for me as a gift. It was $45 shipped from Japan. I think that was 7th grade. 😂 Such a damn good album and something that Distant Worlds did an awesome job turning in to symphonic masterpieces.
Hearing you tell the story makes me want to go back to play this masterpiece all over again. Thankyou for the amazing work you do. Keep up the great work!
Saw this video entry pop up and I'm grinning from ear to ear! I look forward to all of your readings/videos, but This... I can't wait to fall in love with the immersive stories of Final Fantasy all over again. Thank you sir.
Started with FF1 (hell, I learned to read with that game) and stopped with FF9. FF6 is probably my favourite one of the series (or tied with FF7). Love your reading style bud.
I follow you and this is my first time seeing any part of this series. It's my favorite final fantasy series entry and it's focus on despair and living through loss of hope resonates with me more, the older I get.
So beautiful, well crafted story, with amazing characters, gameplay, graphics and music. An experience that is not matched by any of the new Final fantasies. Period. Best FF ever. I feel grateful I live in the same time this game was released. Well done @exploring series. Your summary made me understand why the story is masterfully done and laid out the character arcs impecably clear. Thank you, I had a blast watching and reminiscing. 🎉
I don't know if this is an experimental video, but I've been following you for a while and I feel like this is a new section that I can see with the same appeal than the SCP series stuff. The Warhammer field is already saturated by great commentators, but you're one of the best i've seen in the whole "Videogame Explained" world.
I have a new definition of nostalgia trip. As I listened to this I was stunned by how much it I remember beat by beat, down to the dialogue. Truly tremendous retelling and I appreciate you. Now off to Chrono Trigger.
FIrst RPG I ever beat was FF3/6 on the SNES back in the 90's after receiving it as a Christmas gift. A week before you posted this I had just started a casual play threw to relive that feeling of when I first got the game all those years ago.
This was the 1st game that i actually fell in love with in 5th or 6th grade. Edgar was always my favorite with the chainsaw lol. Atmos fifhr was the best music in the game.
My first FF game. Back in 2000 when I found out what an emulater was, I stumbled on this game. Probably my 1st RPG as well. Great game but an amazing story. Still sad I lost Shadow.
Man the 90’s was an absolute gold mine for squaresoft! In my opinion, when it comes to FF games, it has only gone down hill since squaresoft merged and became square enix. FFX was the last good FF game.
Do you remember these days? The days when Final Fantasy was a play on Dungeons and Dragons? When the music was so soulful and emotional that it's been immortalized in so many ways? When priority was given to the writing and the story, not the flashing effects, bloom, and shakeycam? When the protagonists were more complexed than a scowl, or an emo fringe? When the developers understood that the conflict of Light and Dark meant more than just if a light switch was turned on or off? I miss the days of Final Fantasy 6. God I miss them so much.
Really great video. While I realize it would be a monumental undertaking, I really hope you one day do a series on FFXIV's later expansions, the story only gets better from ARR on.
Dude I loved this game, ever since my SNES days. It was, and IMO still is, the ultimate sequel to the original Final Fantasy from way back in my childhood NES days. FF4 is good too, even if the SNES American version was all fucked up, as I learned well after playing it as a teenager.
In case you did not know, you can actually recruit Mog much sooner, back in the World of Balance! After Terra regains her memories, in Narshe, visit the rightmost house thst had a locked chest. The Lone Wolf will allear and pick the lock and grab the chest's contents and runs off. Go north in Narshe to chase after him. Walk all the way to frozen esper and you'll find Lone Wolf taking a moogle hostage, demanding you to hold still or he'll kill it. If you wait, the moogle will break free and both will fly off on opposite directions and dangle on the sides of the cliff. The Lone Wolf will inform you you'll never get this Gold Hairpin (relic that cuts MP consumption by 50%). If you talk to the moogle, you'll recruit Mog and the Lone Wolf will fall off, not seen again until World of Ruin. If you talk to the Lone Wolf, youll nab the Hold Hairpin and both will fall, both not seen again until the World of Ruin.
*nods hearing about a man suplexing a train* Ah, that crazy kid. I hear it was nearly every chance he got until the train let them go, That's how I always remember the tale
If you want to see lore of underrated video games Phantasy Star(At least the 4 turn based games) has interesting lore Alternatively, theres Project Moonverse who is close to things like Warhammer 40k but with SCP
Ive never played a FF just never got into rhem but dam if i havent listened your video a dozen + times youve made me get the pixel remaster for switch 🎩 hats off sir
I love seeing you doing more game lore (beside Warhammer and FF14). Not many make a proper game lore. I hope you do more. Btw, FF6 is my most fav in the series, so I'm glad you make this.
Reupload as a single video for the algorithm.

This was my first Final Fantasy game. I got it at a flea market and I fell in love with the franchise since. Thank you for the nostalgia trip.
It was my second after IV/II (in the states) but it is still by far my favorite Final Fantasy ever.
Ahh, I miss flea market game stores .
@@OccultDemonCassette definitely. Everything now has been inflated in price and it can be hard to buy anything worthwhile.
Those flea market be cooking

Oh hell yes. This is my favorite entry in this Final Fantasy series, and I'm stoked to hear it again.
I wish there were more game-summery storytelling like this, it was a lot of fun listening to this video. Every second was captivating.
Dude hell yes, I would listen to you talk about final fantasy all day long, this game series has a special place in my heart and hearing my favorite podcast RUclipsr talk about it is a match made in heaven
@15:53, you included the greatest moment in video game history. I salute you @TheExploringSeries
Not wrong. The IP has more than a few bangers throughout its evolution.
In literature it's Shakespeare's, "exit pursued by bear."
In Cinema it's Dr Strangelove, "Gentlemen, you can't fight in here. This is the war room!"
In videogames, it has to be suplexing a ghost train.
I will never forget this story.
Even after seen so much it still has a special memory zone in my mind.
Wow, as someone who’s played thru this game probably a dozen times, I had no idea how much I’d enjoy this. Thanks bud
You have done more than justice. I cried just like i did when i played it the first time all those years ago.
Thank you so much for this cherished memory i unearthed
The perfect video for me to listen to at work. Thank you.
Easily my favorite FF entry, one of the ten best video games of all time. Thanks for sharing.
Great storytelling with right amount of detail and good pace of narration. Would love to see you do classic jrpg storytelling. Thanks! ❤
The music in this game is absolutely unforgettable. 💜

I'm ngl I cackled hard when Sabin suplexes that train. Great work as always!
Hearing you tell the story makes me want to go back to play this masterpiece all over again. Thankyou for the amazing work you do. Keep up the great work!
I'd love to see these for both 7 and 8 as well!
Might as well add IV, V and IX as well 😁
And Secret of Mana! 😂

How about all the SNES/PS1 RPGs just to be safe 😁
15:48 I’m so happy this is part of the story. Thank you.
Yeah yeah your brain is cooked in meme, we get it
I don't comment often, but watch almost every upload. I always appreciate when you diversify content a bit. Super excited to see it's FF

No matter what you put out, I’m loving every bit of these lore videos
This was wonderful. Thank you so much for covering this!
reupload but u still get a watch and a like. keep it up sonny
One of if not my favorite game of all time.
One of the greatest stories ever told in gaming!
My first and favourite final fantasy game and I didn't expect my favourite narrator on youtube to do a video on it
Started with FF1 (hell, I learned to read with that game) and stopped with FF9. FF6 is probably my favourite one of the series (or tied with FF7).
Love your reading style bud.
I follow you and this is my first time seeing any part of this series. It's my favorite final fantasy series entry and it's focus on despair and living through loss of hope resonates with me more, the older I get.

Brought back so many happy memories. Thanks for bringing that back to me.

A video on the story of one of the best FFs by my favorite lore dive channels?
Is it my birthday?
FIrst RPG I ever beat was FF3/6 on the SNES back in the 90's after receiving it as a Christmas gift. A week before you posted this I had just started a casual play threw to relive that feeling of when I first got the game all those years ago.
"Sabin proceeds to suplex the train..." xD
Thank you. Final fantasy ii/iv and iii/vi are some of my all time favorite games
Awesome seeing you expand outside the scp foundation
My favorite Final Fantasy! Glad to see you dedicate such time and heart to it!
I'm so glad you did this. Thank you mate!
Hey buddy. This was amazing. I've been listening to your channel forever now. Please keep producing this type of content.
This was the 1st game that i actually fell in love with in 5th or 6th grade. Edgar was always my favorite with the chainsaw lol. Atmos fifhr was the best music in the game.
Recently discovered this channel, glad to see one of my favourite games covered right away
Have you ever considered the Suikoden series as a series to cover? That would be absolutely amazing.
Suikoden 2 was great!
@@JoshyBoy219 i enjoyed every one of them really.
Oh dang, my favorite narrator meets my favorite series
Nice to know that you cover Final Fantasy too!
This was great. You should cover more games like this.
I played this on playstation as one of the games in FF Anthology. I absolutely loved it. This is awesome. Thank you!
This is so awesome. Commenting & liking for the RUclips algorithm
This is a very pleasant surprise, thank you
My first FF game. Back in 2000 when I found out what an emulater was, I stumbled on this game. Probably my 1st RPG as well. Great game but an amazing story. Still sad I lost Shadow.
Remember playing this on the Super Nintendo. My favorite. Wonder what it would be like with modern graphics though.
Might be the most important game to me, ever. Thank you.
It's not the first RPG I've played but it is the game that brought into the genre. I will say this is the top of the best games ever.
Man the 90’s was an absolute gold mine for squaresoft! In my opinion, when it comes to FF games, it has only gone down hill since squaresoft merged and became square enix. FFX was the last good FF game.
Thank you Sir Series, The Exploring.
Love these game lore vids

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
Really great video. While I realize it would be a monumental undertaking, I really hope you one day do a series on FFXIV's later expansions, the story only gets better from ARR on.
I'm so happy you called it a masterpiece. It's still my favorite game of all time. Nothing has beaten it for me.
Please do 7 and all connections next. Crisis core, derge of cerebus, advent children. That would be epic.
My favourite all time RPG and of the FF franchise, fond, fond memories.
I still remember telling my friend about the SUPLEX A TRAIN bit he didnt believe me until i made him play thru to it good memories
What the-oh! Exploring upload! I has fun thing for work listen!
They should have gotten Mark Hamill to do the voice of Kefka. You can't spell Mark Hamill without "ARKHAM" in the middle, you know.
"U'ghaaaa~!!" Words I've never forgotten after 29 years.
Wasn’t expecting a middle of the day posting.
Love these videos! Thanks man you’re killing it ❤
The shadow on Mt. Koltz wasn't Vargas, it was Sabin (Mashu in Japanese)
Dude I loved this game, ever since my SNES days. It was, and IMO still is, the ultimate sequel to the original Final Fantasy from way back in my childhood NES days. FF4 is good too, even if the SNES American version was all fucked up, as I learned well after playing it as a teenager.
Greatest FF of all time!
I love how everyone including Square Enix considers Sabin suplexing the train to be lore accurate.
The first ff that I finished, making it my favourite.

If only we could get a remake of this
Can’t wait for you to do 8
Thank u for the commentary ❤
Xenogears next please then Suikoden 1 & 2 would be just perfect!
Thank you for the hard work
I always beat Ebots Rock and Hidon with Strogo alone; it seemed fitting. Don't forget to learn Grand Delta from Hidon before you beat it.

Aaack! Arranged music! I prefer the origional chip tunes but this is still a great vid. Good work!
Oh what a fun surprise
Please keep doing these types of vjdeos!
You should do the stories for other FF games if you haven't already
Yoooo, I didn't even notice this was you, fucken nice!
"NIKEA." So is there going to be a major council of the Empire of Mankind there? Or maybe Santa Claus is going to punch a heretic there?
Wow, a mid week surprise! 🙏🙌
