      @@kaderp9043and btw bg3 is broken and barely held together in the third act. I even had hours of game play where textures wouldn't load and another part where a characters face froze in one position for hours not to mention the last acts boring AF. So what r u talking about? Didn't no "masterpieces" had issues with em. I always thought masterpiece meant perfect. U ppl act like bg3 did something no other game did before. It's called a basic game. Even tho it was early release for 3 years and still had game breaking bugs. Chrono trigger had NONE of these issues. But this will fall on dead pussy ears.

    From what i understand, the two Chrono games have different yet similar themes. Chrono Trigger is about changing a bleak future for the better, while Chrono Cross puts the emphasis on how changing time, no matter the selfless intent and mostly good outcome, has weight that applies pressure on the fabric of time (or, the spirit of the planet, as i prefer to call it). While the first game is about changing time, the second is about resolving the paradoxes resulting from it.

    The gameplay is a bit dated, but the story makes this game an absolute titan of the genre. I’ll never forget the moment the princess exploded in front of my eyes….I was genuinely mortified. I could barely even look the NPC guards in the eye out of pure shame and fear. That was the moment I finally realized why this game is so special. It makes you CARE about the imaginary world and the little clumps of pixels that are its characters.

    You know it's a good story when you can listen/watch an entire video on it and still have that urge to play it for yourself.
    One of a handful of true classics the likes that we may never see again. This game was made back when the writing painted a sea of canvases in colors of gold and silver. Whereas today so many games are developed less to entice us with words and more to wow us with gameplay elements and the increasingly unappealing need for realism.
    Some people, like myself, have a way with words. Yet the true masters, such as those who worked on Chrono Trigger, take those words and pull you into worlds that stay with you long after you finish that final, somehow incredibly impactful, sentence.
    Absolutely stunning. Thank you for taking the time to make this video!

    • @psychedelicpiper999
      @psychedelicpiper999 5 месяцев назад

      Back in the day, soundtracks for JRPG’s were so hard to find. And even if you managed to order them from Japan, they were incredibly expensive.
      My sister ended up finding an affordable bootleg copy of the Chrono Trigger soundtrack that was just as good as the real thing. Whoever made it did a great job, even printed ink of the characters onto the actual discs.
      When it came to finding MP3’s on the Internet, you were far more likely to find MIDI files instead.
      Now it’s so easy to stream and download soundtracks for even the most obscure titles, in complete lossless format, if you know where to look. I don’t think Japanese imports cost as much anymore either. People growing up today will never know the struggle.

    Hi Mr. TES, just wanted to let you know that I absolutely loved both this video and the FFVI video you've made, and would love to see this series on JRPG games/ games you played as a kid. I see that they're not doing as well as the SCP/ 40k videos you've been making, and I love those too, but it feels like I can hear the love and nostalgia you feel towards these games through your narration.
    Love from the UK

    I love the red gate. Those gates are those created by the planet so wheb Lucca got a gate and a chance to save her mother, it was the planet giving back to Lucca after Lucca gave so much to the planet. ❤❤

    Have you played Sea of Stars? It's AMAZING heavily inspired by the game play of this one.

    A game so good it can't ever be replicated even a direct 3d overhaul might take away from its greatness
