Absolute gentleman, so down to earth. Typical young innocent people being manipulated into something they'd otherwise not be involved in. I'm a Catholic by the way
David carries the spirit of his saviour like a beacon , you cannot help but be touched by his genuine redemption, his enthusiasm for sharing his own story changes lives for the good , there’s no downside to this man so hopefully in the midst of recent political problems a lot of our younger generation listen to what he is saying and know that change is not brought about by violence but by treating others as you would want for yourself and family. I grew up during the Troubles and knew dozens if not hundreds of paramilitaries and I have yet to meet one that could justify the deaths and destruction, people like David would never have seen the inside of a prison cell if the Troubles had never happened. We all pray that the dark days are well behind us and that future generations live in peace and harmony 🙏.
Packie was an old friend. I used to go to hear him give his testimony. It's great to hear him and sorry he's had health issues. Great to see you Packie.
Just looking at the comments and arguments ,one in particular saying you done your part, another blaming one over the other in relation to violence the troubles, they missed this man's message ,that being one of forgiveness and peace, the man is genuine and great listening
My wife and i remember David very well. Nearly30 years ago we accompanied Pastor Mike O Brian and his wife Sue from Cork to a Teen Challenge conference on the Belgium 🇧🇪 German border. Pastors came from all over Europe. There were two Pastors that were from the Balkans. One Serbian the other Croatian. War was looming in their neck of the woods. The tension between the two initially was palpable. David gave a testimony and it broke that atmosphere, both sides connected. Also as I remember the Croatian side were trying to raise 600 dollars for a car needed desperately in ministry. David was the first to empty his pockets contributing to the need. Thank you beloved brother and Pastor. Martin and Mary Cork.
What a great interview I’m watching this in Australia and have just sent it to my family in Ireland very impressed and has a great sense humour the next time I’m in Ireland I would like to meet this great man
David's a good man of God. Remember hearing him preach more than 30 years back at a mission hall in Northern Ireland. His fervour for the Lord sure hasn't dimmed over that time. A trophy of His Grace indeed.

Pity people have to suffer before they change their ways we take good things in life to find happiness but for those that look to fight certainly find work it out before it’s too late should have listened to his mother despair and love
I think discrimination the have and have nots exist in every culture it breeds discrimination and discontent.Northern Ireland is more complicated impossible to fully understand unless you have lived experienced it.David has lived it his life narrative is testimony to the fact wisdom is sometimes hard learned a relevant testimony.
I am a republican but 37 so was very young when the Troubles was ebbing out. I find it fascinating to hear someone’s mindset who took arms for what they believed in. But for everyone especially the UDA and UVF people watching reading this….where is your crown now, you are forgotten, no longer a necessity, no longer aided to fight a common enemy and no longer of importance. You’s have been back stabbed like every other country of the colonial needs and wants. You are literally a fool if you believe otherwise.
Another way of putting it is that the needs, wants, desires and hopes of all people in the Six Counties are common with the rest of Ireland and better represented in Dublin than a Westminster that has turned it's back.
