  • In my race to get to ATP minimums, I am making some MASSIVELY Impractical flights. Follow me today as I fly from Texas to Wisconsin and back to get some Cheese with ‪@SuperAero‬
In this second installment of the Impractical Flights series, join me as I embark on a 1700-mile journey to meet Ryan to get some legendary cheese! Unfortunately, the weather had other plans, and we fell short by just 50 miles. I ended up savoring the cheese alone in a hotel before flying back home. Watch the adventure unfold, and see how the journey was just as exciting as the destination!

Food for thought look into flying cargo. I used to fly a crj for a regional airline based out of Newark and I live in Florida so between the commuting and the schedule it sucked. So found a new job I got hired based in my hometown flying a 767 and have two weeks on but I’m almost home every night and then two weeks off. But you do turn into a vampire since most flight are red eyes so your day will start around midnight and will be done when everyone else in the world is waking up. It’s all about finding what kind of quality of life works for you, good luck with your endeavors

I love this series. Last year i did a two day 12 hr roundtrip from switzerland to mallorca on the mediterranean see basically to go for a 5 minute swim before sunset, i flew to the netherlands to have dinner with a guy that flies the same airplane and i flew to denmark to pick up my wife and kids from the airport after they flew the same distance in an airliner which would have had a seat for me too... let's face it.. a lot of GA hobby pilots trips are very pointless if you don't count the excitement we get out of just being able to do such things as a valid point ;) so i hope you can enjoy those long trips just as much as i do and i hope i can be a passenger on a commercial flight piloted by you one day.

    • @JustPlaneSilly
