January 2022 Trip to Italy & Norway part 3

- I finally got the editing done, and here's part 3 of my rather long trip to Italy, and then up to Northern Norway.
We will travel from Oslo up to Bodø, and down to the ferry to Sørarnøy.

I just watched all three parts of this journey. The time flew by! Thank you. In this episode, I was impressed by the reflective markers starting at 4:05 showing the road edges on the Saltfjellet road.

Hope you get to do your bucket list. To old to travel now would have come to Norway looks great Summer or Winter. They must have spent a fortune on tunnels and bridges. Otherwise you would not be able to get around. Happy trucking mate.

Ah, the beauty of winter! When I used to drive Canada, I looked forward to those trips down snowy back roads. The snow keeps the 4-wheelers home, and makes the truck tires much quieter. I actually found driving on snow relaxing, but then I grew up in a snowy climate so I'm very comfortable driving in winter. Your part of Norway reminds me a lot of parts of Ontario and Quebec in Canada.

You never fail to impress Slipses, I always firstly look to see if you’ve uploaded a video, driving in snowy conditions certainly calls for experience, especially for a HGV vehicle, and you have that experience in abundance, Here in the U.K. it’s acknowledged that we have one of the worst winter weathers, inasmuch some winters we virtually get none, (apart from the Scottish highlands, ( my land), with the result when we do get a “ beast from the east” ( dry snow) our roads, motorways included, become gridlocked with lightly loaded, summer tyred , GHVs , rather quickly!. 🏴
Thank you Victor 😊👍 I lived in Warwickshire for 2 years back in beginning of the 90ies, and we got a good snowstorm back then, it was chaos 🤣 even the trains couldn't drive, due to snow disturbing the electronics in the locomotives 🤣

I have even visited lekevagten in Bodø 🤣 a few months ago, I had a little accident, while offloading, and I needed 5 stitches on the top of my head 🙄

i have been to mehamn and alta and surroundings many times loading fresh fish for padborg denmark
Those were nice rides especially in winter

Hej og tack för ett trevligt filmklipp. Saknar livet som exportchaufför efter ca 30 år, fick en blodpropp 3april -20. Nu blir det bara turer med autocampern till de länder som jag körde de sista 10 åren. Sviter av blodproppen är att jag är mycket trött og har problem med balansen. .

Tak for nogle gode videoer ,jeg elsker at se dine videoer og nyder faktisk at der ikke er tale over og kun tekst , og som en anden skriver lad teksten være nogle sekunder mere, de er ikke altid jeg får det hele med ;-) . Jeg kan også godt lide dit valg af Blues musik , dejligt at høre samtidig med at se de flotte optagelser fra dine ture både Nord og Syd ,men flottest er Nord med alt det sne . Carsten, as I pointed out to another commentator, just “tap” the centre of the screen, where there is a triangle, it will freeze the video, giving you time to read the text, a second “tap” on the now visible triangle will restart the video, with NO loss of screen time . Regards 🏴

In the situation where you were slipping down of the hill was the suspension air bellow damaged if i understood correctly? When you had lost the traction, did you know immediately that it was caused by the damaged suspension or your first thoughts were "What the f*ck?" :)
Hi Lukas 😊 I knew it straight away, for two reasons, firstly I was pushing the button that transfers airpressure from the bogie axle to the drive axle, because the truck had started spinning the wheels prior to this, second, when an aircushion blows, it comes with quite a bang 🙄🤣 but trust me, there was some cussing and swearing going on in the cab, when it all happened 🤣🤣
Brave man drive on that snow or do you have winter tyres or snow chains looking a bit wild and cold

A colleague from make this experience driving or sliding the rv52 Hemsedalfjell. Must stopped beacuse one from these "special drivers" with two axle trucks don´t use snowcains, go out from the trcuk and the truck says "byebye"! Slidung 20 Meters and then the trailer is staying with the neck in a snow wall. Norway live...
