    Very beautiful videos, love the polar region. Visited Lofoten with family and caravan in the summer of 2018. Recognizes through your films many parts of our trip. This film, in particular, between Fauske to Arjeplog over the mountain on road 95 and home via Inlandsvägen. Keep making more movies ... please :-)

    Those narrow single lane mountain passes at the beginning of the video were hard to watch as the road in many places is cambered the wrong way. I would never have the courage to drive on some of the roads in your great videos. Would like to find out in a future video the costs for some of the ferry crossings. Years ago I traveled a lot on motorcycle and was quite surprised to see the costs for these large rigs on the ferry's. Stay Safe !!

    • @Slipse
      @Slipse  4 года назад

      Hi Mark 😊 to be honest, I have no idea what the prices are for ferry crossings, since they are booked by my dispatchers.. But from what I know, the price war between the different ferry lines, is quite fierce, so they shouldn't be too expensive..

    Nice work! I am not familiar with that part of the world, and I encourage you to add more captions, especially location remarks. I have a question: How do you protect your camera when you have it mounted outside on your truck? Especially when it is on the rear of your trailer van?

    • @Slipse
      @Slipse  4 года назад +1

      Thank you for your comment Steven 😊👍 the camera I use to fix outside my truck, is an action cam, SJCam 4000, it's in a waterproof housing.. But ofc, there's always a risk of a stone hitting it, and I doubt it will survive that.. but so far, I've been lucky 😉👍

    Were they reindeer or moose crossing the road ? I couldn't tell.
    Isn't it funny that it takes Covid 19 to show how valuable strong border controls is ? Maybe it's a positive sign of things to come ?

      I am guessing that it would be illegal for Slipses to have a passenger, and that he'd be fired from his company if he did.
      There's a trucker in the USA/Canada, on You Tube at "Trucker Josh VLOGS", who has a friendly, small, German Shepherd, as a travelling companion. Dogs are easy to have as passengers, because they don't talk.... LOL

    when did you started trucking ? did you have experience before ? and could you write pros and cons of this job according to your opinion?

    • @Slipse
      @Slipse  4 года назад +1

      Hi There :) I've been driving trucks for close to 27 years now, I started with long hauls straight away, I was lucky, that I knew a truck owner, that was willing to give me a chance, with 0 experience in trucking, but I was used to travel in my prior job. I started out driving to Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and Albania.. and did so for close to 9 years. Then I started driving between Sweden and Denmark, with a curtain side trailer and all kinds of goods. My debut for driving to Norway was in 2012, when I started working for the company I work for now..
      Pro's and Con's.. there are many LOL but I will list a few.. When you do international trucking, or long haul, like I do, you need to be able to enjoy your own company, because it can be a lonely job.. at home it's hard to keep in touch with family and friends, because, the job must always come first. The competition in this business is hard, and your truck is a factory, that must not stand still for longer periods.. I enjoy the freedom of the job, I enjoy driving through the sceneries I see, I love the challenges you meet along the way - driving in Norway - you meet a LOT of challenges, because of the climate ;)) Even after all these years, I still feel the thrill of starting up the engine, and knowing there's a new adventure waiting out there for me :)
      On the home front, I am very blessed, my wife kisses me goodbye and says, see you when i see you, because it is impossible to say exactly when I return home again.. If you start making too many promisses, about your return and things that you will do when you get home.. it will just cause you stress and agony.. there is so many things that can go wrong, plans changes constantly and you can't keep your promisses.. So either you need to be single, or have a homefront, that understands your way of life.. and trust me - not many women are willing to be both a Mum and a Dad alone at home... or as we call call it "a truckers widow" ;)

    It’s very difficult to build roads in Norway, that’s why it widens whenever you cross any border out of the fucking place . Norway is also a very poor country, it’s not friendly. The worlds most expensive place to drive.... I am Norwegian
