  • This is a story about 3 individual hikers that became a strong trail family on their way on the Kungsleden and Gröna Bandet.
Whilst the northern Kungsleden takes you about 460km from Abisko to Hemavan, the Gröna Bandet takes it even further - Hiking from Treriksröset, the point where Sweden, Norway and Finnland meet, along the Swedish mountain chain down south to Grövelsjön or vice versa, an incredible 1300km journey.
The distance covered in this video is 740km in 24 days. We enjoyed Swedens nature to the fullest, passed and climbed mountains, roamed birch forests, crossed countless rivers and lakes, spent a lot of time on the wide open fjell, enjoyed the change of colors during fall and met many wonderful other hikers on our way.

    What a great video.
I myself plan to hike the Kungsleden next year.
Unfortunately, my time only allows for a portion of the Kungsleden.
Thanks for this video and the damn beautiful shots.
    Best regards from Germany.

thank you very much! Go for it, even if you can only do a portion of it. Luckily this trail allows you quite easily to do this, either you can choose the start or end section with their mountains (that are also the more popular ones) or the sections in between where you can enjoy even more the nature in solitude.

Great video! I think you did a fantastic job of letting the scenes speak for themselves. Beautiful work.
Hoping to hike Kvikkjokk to Abisko in late August, early September.

Thank you so much! You should go for this hike, you will love it. Late August, early September is a good choice, you don't have to deal with the mosquitos any more and you can enjoy the change of seasons, that is truly spectacular.

Good video, except for the lie about Norway being better than Sweden, they are no where close to as good as their big brother Sweden ;)

haha, thank you very much! Norway and Sweden are truly very beautiful and it's a great pleasure to hike in both countries. As you saw, having fun on this trail with same minded people added so much to the experience of this long distance hike.
