    The 80s were awesome and what is more 80s than a Buick GN! When I had my 5.0 Mustang that was one of the few cars I feared rolling up next to me.

      @@BriansRCStuff great times, great times! What alot of people don't realize or know is in 1987, the Buick GN was the slowest of the Turbo Buicks. The GNX was the king, then the WE4 1987 Turbo-T regal, then the GN. The GN was only available in black, the Turbo-T WE4 was a GN in any color you wanted that was offered at the time, aluminum wheels, bumper brackets, radiator and lightweight seats. It was 322 lbs lighter than a GN. My dad still has his 87 Turbo-T ,57,2xx miles. I outran so many 5.0 mustangs and 5.7 Iroc-z & corvettes in that Turbo-T I lost count. When I popped the hood and they counted 6 cylinders, they were disgusted! Great memories

      @@RCrepairAndBuilds oh yeah, I read up on the GN and GNX a lot! Just the regular ole GN's were quick for their time, especially off the line, with a few mods! Stock I didn't fear them nearly as much on warm days.... but when cool out I wouldn't even try from a dig.... from a roll maybe but so few were stock!
      Did you find yours heat soaked pretty bad when stock on hot days?

      @RCrepairAndBuilds  22 дня назад

      @@BriansRCStuff I never really had any heat soak issues as I rarely ever drive it except on cruise nights, I really bought it as an investment but fell in love with the car and will never sell it. My brother also has one but like you stated very few were left stock and his is far from it. Stock they did have heat soak issues because the Turbo output/downpipe was very restricted and causes high back pressure, also the intercooler was way too small. 87 was the very infancy of OBD1, very limited without a ton of piggy back stuff (scanmaster etc etc,) before he changed anything else he switched his over to Fueltech engine management, had it tuned, bone stock it gained almost 102 hp and made almost 360 to the tire. It makes almost 800 to the tire now with the stock block, nothing else is stock but the block casting 🤣😅

      @@RCrepairAndBuilds hey sir I have a question for you about the wheels u run on ur Laegendary Thunder speed run truck. I have 2 of them and I’m paralyzed so I can really only run it in my backyard since it’s hard for me to get around ya know but I have a problem with it having too much traction since my backyard is just grass if I would run a set of tires like u do u think I would still have that problem or would i have no traction at all and they just spin all the time??

      @@rickybaldwin6160 the stock tires actually do great in your situation or something very similar. Are you having a problem with it doing a wheelie and flipping over etc etc?

    • @rickybaldwin6160
      @rickybaldwin6160 22 дня назад +1

      @@RCrepairAndBuilds yes that’s exactly what I’m having trouble with I need to do your wheelie bar mod for one but I don’t think I can do it by myself tbh n I’m also having trouble with it rolling over when going pretty fast and turning. It’s just like it has way too much traction and I’m really needing it do like a drift car. Like see if I’m on like concrete grass rocks the stock tires does pretty good and don’t roll that easy but in the grass where I mostly drive it I can’t keep it from rolling.

    The Buick grand National was one awesome car . I remember the 87 mustang GT also was a beast and they had iroc with the 5.7 corvette LT motor was twisting frames . Them grandma Buicks with superchargers are sleepers . They got serious pick up

      @@Hungrybird474 the newer buicks and Pontiacs with the 3800 had the supercharger, the GN and Turbo Buicks are Turbo cars. Definitely sleeper car's and fast for their day. Straight line, they're great but that G body shuffle is scary above 110 mph or turning

    Good build up . The suspense is killing us . L2thew had his speed runner hauling azz . I think he hit a 100 or 89 , it was up there . Finding a good open spot other than a road is the hardest part . There s a huge difference getting up to speed with some space . I feel lucky to have a spot but sometimes there’s walkers
