One thing that annoys me more than just about anything else when it comes to night time is businesses that throw up a flood light that lights up their parking lot and a third of the way across the city. Business owners that just toss up an unshielded light really piss me off. Thank you Cletus and the light company for doing this the right way. It's still going to put off quite a glow even with the lights pointed downward but you guys are doing it right. I'm super happy that your channel is doing well enough to make you a good living and have a ton of money left over for you to restore a racetrack....... I mean how many people restore race tracks? Give it time. It will happen. They are just learning the ropes with these smaller events to find the weak links and fix them before they do bigger events. ✌️🇺🇸🦅
The footcandle levels you were measuring with just four poles is actually low for a race track. So no, you didn't over light it. When all the lights are on and aimed correctly, you should be getting at least 70fc at any given area and that's at a minimum. I fully expect you'll be getting in the neighborhood of 100fc average around the track when they're all on, which is where you'll want it to be. Also, tell your guy to hold the light meter sensor further from his body for more accurate readings. Even a slight shadow from your body can reduce the readings. I've had customers do this and tried to claim my photometric calculations were wrong. Then, when I show them how to hold it correctly, they see the numbers are correct.
It's great seeing the track be revived. I haven't been yet but being a floridian I get just as excited to see these videos as the racing ones. We can't let our old tracks die so many have closed over the last few years and they will never be coming back.

2:29 you want a drip loop where those cord grips enter the junction box. The cord grips are IP rated, but they still will leak I promise you, especially with Florida weather. That junction box should have been mounted higher up above the bracket so that SJ drops away from the cord grip.
@@daniellewis1789 I do this type of work industrially. We had to replace every single junction box in the steel yard that was wired like this after just a few years. I'm up in Michigan, the weather (rain) isn't nearly as ferocious. The problem is that those junction boxes are also IP rated and they will fill with water. Some guys will drill a small weep hole, I rather just not let it leak in the first place.
Burnout pad lights need to be on a motorized arm. Push a “beam me up” button and they point to the sky! Then a freedom button where they cycle red white and blue
Drip loop. Lots of people commenting about it, just doing my part for awareness. Hope to help in saving you from replacing the junction boxes in future! So happy for you and the team. Best of luck.
Polaris connectors in those junction boxes, that's the right way to do it. Plus they've got one open tap for any thing ancillary you would ever want to run up there.
@Bob Watters I can't tell which inline they used, but the Eaton inline fuses they use on street lighting look very similar. They are a good quality product. When you are dealing with lighting only circuits code gives you more flexibility for things like that.
@Bob Watters I mean realistically it doesn’t have to be elegant to work well. Those threaded watertight connectors actually work really well if you use solid gel filled outdoor cable
@Bob Watters I am thinking you do not like his contractor for some reason based on several of your negative BS comments. Go back to playing your videos!
@Bob Watters He is one of the most respected electrical contractors in our area. Go check out the 7690 reviews he has on Google. I would say 4.9 rating out of 5 speaks for itself. Amazing how much free awesome advertising he is getting. :)
Meanwhile Victor's stumbling around the dragstrip like Clark Griswold's neighbours when the Christmas lights turned on! Can't wait to see what it looks like when all the lights are up and running.
I hope Cleetus will always have this level of infectious enthusiasm and willingness to “send it” to achieve the goal. So much better than just working a job to chase a pay check. And fun to witness! And the grass does look awesome!
Garrett, Up here in VA my 3y/o has a stuffed giraffe that he named Cleetus, and goes literally anywhere/ everywhere with. his response to the video was priceless. he saw the driving over the hump bit and went, "Cleetus night, Cleetus day?" talk about firing it up. Great job Central Florida Electric, you all do damn fine work. Glad the FF folks found you all. There are a million ways to wire a light pole, and you all did it safe, did it simple , and did it easy to fix. Damn hard to get two out of those 3 when it comes to outdoor work it seems these days.
Wow that is awesome. The investment you are making in this track is going to pay off exponentially. You have not even scratched the surface yet on the revenue potential for your facility. With that said, you have been smart about easing in slowly and getting use to running a facility with thousands of people at a time. Your events have been hugely successful with overwhelming positive feedback. You are doing a great job, most people can not even begin to comprehend what goes into running a facility like the FF, let alone executing it.
I look forward to seeing how they expand the track. A side by side track, and I can’t imagine they won’t lay down another lot of hard top. And surely cleeter is going to end up owning Bradenton drag strip as well I think.
So much this! Too many people jump in head first to business ventures and immediately get ate up on the back end of things. Slow and steady beginning with family and friends as well as small ramp ups I think have been key to his successes. Though it was a crappy time for everyone, I think Covid really helped him in this regard, helping to force his hand to the slow open. Building up the PPV model also has been a steep learning curve, but one that I'm pleased that have addressed and worked to better each time. Lots of executive decisions like food safety, physical safety both crowd and track, waste management and clean up, parking and attendants, merch, driver management, garage use.... all this stuff takes a lot of thought to just plan, let alone to hire and pay. Another year or two and I expect some big things for that track; both happening to it and happening on it!!
Every moth in what once were the Confederate States just said "WTH - Lets head down to the Freedom Factory!". Actually, have you considered with all the light you now have, Reversing the position of one or two individual lights to light up the pit or parking area? If you start doing Saturday night paved oval racing you WILL need lights in the pits.
Favorite Cleetus quotes of the night: “I’ll call my astronaut friend and see if he can see it from space” “It’s brighter than the moon!” Great episode, hope y’all had an amazing 4th!
Dude you know when your pulling up to a city at night and the sky just glows from all the lights. Lol I wouldn't doubt it if you got a bright glow above the freedom factory now. Yall are awesome. Keep up the great work!
@Bob Watters I get what you are saying and I agree that over estimating what is needed simply because you know the customer has the money to spend is unethical. However the question is I think fair to ask if he got what he paid for in quality and workmanship. So far I see no evidence that the work or materials were subpar.
The nice thing about the track is he will still be able to get a lot of money back if god forbid anything happened and he started struggling financially
There's a channel Called Hunt the Front with 75K subs that went from home garage small late model dirt track team with clapped out equipment to having 3 cars a toter stacker and barn in like the past 16 months. They've invested almost all of their YT earnings into dirt track racing it's super cool to see people making their dreams come true with YT.
@Illphaqup RUclips nice “basic” response… if you can’t tell the difference I’d suggest you give it an hour and see how many likes in agreement with me…
It's time for the biggest flagpole and the biggest American flag on the market to be set up at the freedom factory, I'm surprised that he hasn't even put up one yet or not that I've seen at least
@Bob Watters I agree. But the bad thing is that having someone selling exactly what he needed with less lights could have cost the same amount of money. You never know who to trust.
Seriously can’t wait to see them all lit up! So happy to have the freedom factory in existence for the car community’s sake. Thank you for doing this man! 🤘🏻
I'm concerned about the lack of a drip loop on the wires going into the box at the top of the pole. Water may drip down that wire and find its way inside. I know it's supposed to be sealed, but as things age water finds a way to get in there. Might be worth looking into. Otherwise, things look fantastic, huge improvement.

It literally seems like yesterday when you were with 1320 video and you borrowed Kyle’s Vette to go grab lunch and came back with a lawnmower in the trunk. Keep up the amazing content and enjoy every second of the ride, you have definitely earned it!!!
No one will be able to say you’re not very bright ever again. Well, as long as you’re hanging out at the Freedom Factory anyway. Still, that’s a huge improvement! Lol
Having this much light will do absolutely wonders for the quality of videos from the freedom factory! Can't wait for the next ppv with all the lights running!!
This thing. The whole track has been brought back to life with quality features. Maybe it isnt that complicated but we all enjoy the content and just want to see all the creators be safe
If you have enough light with just four poles running, spin half the light fixtures from each pole around on the straights so it lights the pits and entrance/some parking.

2:29 you want a drip loop where those cord grips enter the junction box. The cord grips are IP rated, but they still will leak I promise you, especially with Florida weather.
That junction box should have been mounted higher up above the bracket so that SJ drops away from the cord grip.
Somebody knows what they're talking about!
imo you always enter a box located outside from the bottom best way to do it.
Nice touch, thanks for proving you're the badass electrician! Respect.
That is very true, The water will follow the cables the way they are positioned, Maybe silicone sealant is the way to go
Burnout pad lights need to be on a motorized arm. Push a “beam me up” button and they point to the sky!
Then a freedom button where they cycle red white and blue

Cleetus is like a little kid in his own candy store with this track. So cool to see things coming together.
Indeed
Love it when no plans at all come together perfectly, you're making America proud cleeter
I have been an electrician for 14 years. This mans work is some of the cleanest i have seen! Good job brother!
Polaris connectors in those junction boxes, that's the right way to do it. Plus they've got one open tap for any thing ancillary you would ever want to run up there.
That cable management is beautiful right there
@Bob Watters I can't tell which inline they used, but the Eaton inline fuses they use on street lighting look very similar.
Jackstand Jimmy almost got me with the light per second trick🤣🤣🤣

Same 😂 the math sounded right for like a second 😂
Meanwhile Victor's stumbling around the dragstrip like Clark Griswold's neighbours when the Christmas lights turned on!
Can't wait to see what it looks like when all the lights are up and running.
Todd!
Were you galloping like a giraffe when he turned on the lights for the first time , and then got excited to go graze when you saw the grass
The biology lover in me wants to correct this so bad. The joke is too strong though.

Execution is key. People talking doesn't execute shit. MacFarland, badasses.
Awesome to see how excited Garrett is. Him and the guys have done an AMAZING job bringing this track back to life. Stoked to go soon.
Cleetus
I have nothing but respect for what your doing 💯. I'm glad to see things coming together. 😃🥳🥳🥳

Favorite Cleetus quotes of the night:
“I’ll call my astronaut friend and see if he can see it from space”
“It’s brighter than the moon!”
Great episode, hope y’all had an amazing 4th!
Dude you know when your pulling up to a city at night and the sky just glows from all the lights. Lol I wouldn't doubt it if you got a bright glow above the freedom factory now. Yall are awesome. Keep up the great work!
Anyway, thank you Cleetus & Team for bringing us this joy in your videos, much appreciated
Hopefully this helps cement the idea that doing it the right way is the only way.
@Bob Watters Which idiot are you talking about? Over the years I believe there have been several.
@Bob Watters So my next question is who's the real idiot, the guy who bought it or the guy who sold it?
@Bob Watters I get what you are saying and I agree that over estimating what is needed simply because you know the customer has the money to spend is unethical. However the question is I think fair to ask if he got what he paid for in quality and workmanship. So far I see no evidence that the work or materials were subpar.
Nobody is investing into their channel and content like Cleetus. Except maybe LZ.
There’s no comparison between Cleetus and LZ - Cleetus is All About the PEOPLE… Lz is all about LZ… Lz is a beta flog

Light guy: How bright do you want it?
Cleetus: Yes.
Light guy: Say no more.
Light guy: How bright do you want it?
Cleetus: "Our goal is to hit 30 on the track."
Light guy: Proceeds to upsell way more lights than needed.

Hope ya'll are buying poly water drums to surround the base of the concrete light poles. Not only protecting to poles... but also drivers.
the way james told that lumens stuff almost made me believe it lmao.
He's a smart man, they don't call him Dr. Spray'emall for nothin.
Hope you all had a wonderful 4th July, you can tell just how much Cleetus loves renovating the Freedom Factory. The hard work is starting to pay off.
Love watching you dial in the Freedom Factory. Those lights are stellar.
Your excitement is contagious brother, I’m so impressed with what you have accomplished in such a short amount of time. It literally seems like yesterday when you were with 1320 video and you borrowed Kyle’s Vette to go grab lunch and came back with a lawnmower in the trunk. Keep up the amazing content and enjoy every second of the ride, you have definitely earned it!!!
That and the exhaust whistles were some of the first videos that I can remember.
No one will be able to say you’re not very bright ever again. Well, as long as you’re hanging out at the Freedom Factory anyway. Still, that’s a huge improvement! Lol
His radiance is overwhelming!
CM LIGHT SOUNDS BADASS FOR EVENT NIGHTS, calling all Cleetus fans and having a direction to go by light 😂😂😂
Having this much light will do absolutely wonders for the quality of videos from the freedom factory! Can't wait for the next ppv with all the lights running!!
I think it's as bright as before with just 4 lights!
Looks KILLER!!!!
Looks like the moment in field of dreams when they came home. People will come Cleet 🤘🏻

You coud even turn a couple of the lights around and light the pits up.
Every time your outro audio plays it reminds me of a Project Pat song! I loved it back in the 90s, when life seemed a bit slower pace....♥️🤍💙
It's seriously just as bright with those four. Cannot wait to see the finished product! 🇺🇸
You should mount some cams to some of those poles, maybe on the inside of the turns, so we can get some better close-ups on the PPV's and drift vids

This thing. The whole track has been brought back to life with quality features. Maybe im overthinking it but you should turn everything on and drive with a team of crown vics just to check placement so it isnt blinding you or glaring off all the cars around you while driving. Maybe it isnt that complicated but we all enjoy the content and just want to see all the creators be safe
yes. safety. these guys do a good job on that front IMO. have all the damn fun you want. be as safe as you can about it so you can do it again.
The Freedom Factory DEFINITELY deserves it's logo projected into the night sky Batman style!!!
Yes!
Lots of freedoms right here fellas 👌 😎
"Might've over done it" Is your mantra.
It's gonna be WAY brighter than regular daylight in Florida. It's the Moon Tune of event lighting.
If you have enough light with just four poles running, spin half the light fixtures from each pole around on the straights so it lights the pits and entrance/some parking.
Lighting makes all the difference. It makes that grass look reeeeeal nice.
You'll be wearing sunglasses at night at the FREEDOM FACTORY!
Hahaha. Hey Cletus give this man 2% of the profits from his idea. Everyone attending is going to need some glasses so set up a stand and sell shades with your name on them. 👍
Damn, Nascar is gonna put you on the schedule now.
That’s cool how the poles are hallow for the wires to run I thought they were solid
I'm sure they are reinforced with rebar
they probably got poured with pvc pipes in them. So they are solid except for the 1 inch pipe in it
You meant hollow, but man these light poles are definitely hallowed XD
Look at all that holy light lol
They have a 1" pvc running through the center of them up too the top
