It would be useful to pass on to Bafang the message that they should implement a “panic” button, allowing to limit the speed of the bike to 15 mph. At the very least a quick method to do that. In my country, we are having more and more police controls checking the speed of the bikes. They put the bikes on a rolling road.
I have an emmo c2 wild 750w motor. No mods im able to go 56kph and 60 on a very ideal day aka no wind. I want to try a sinewave 40a controller do you think that would upgrade my top speed at all?
No, you will need to buy a different controller with a display that comes along with it. This is only for Bafang motors. Think of motors and the controllers as a communication protocol, only bafang can communicate with bafang etc. Its not entirely like that but thats a oversimplified explanation.

@JohnnyNerdOut Hey it's me again! Would you mind doing a video in the future on the Buzz Bars and also...if you get a Lekkie Bling Ring do you need to also get the Lekkie cover for it to work? Hey Johnny, I just bought a kit off eBay and it has the 600c display, 52v hd. Your name comes up when I turn on the power. Why? Also how do I change programming on this thing? It has been an awful experience without having some manual on how to use it. Please help. Thank you
That is super weird. Perhaps you bought it used from someone who bought it from me? Ya, lack of manuals are the norm for custom ebike components unfortunately. RUclips has become the replacement ☹️
@@JohnnyNerdOut thanks for that. I was able to change the display and use the settings much better now. Yes it was off eBay as open box new and it was unused for sure. It's running great on my 29" Schwinn MTB. I need to upgrade the chain ring it has a 36 tooth. I'd like to go up the 52.
Is it possible with a screen to lock /unlock a fast way to enable/disable a legal / not légal mode (legal 250w 25km/h, ou not legal 750w 45km/h)? I know its possible with other than bafang, every time ypu start the bike its legal mode, and you need to activate a manual switch to turn on illegal mode.
Holy crap.. this is EXACTALLY what I need! I have one 48v20ah rack-mount and one 52v22ah triangle on a 3000w hub-motor that keeps cutting out under high load! I HATE IT! So, I'ma stick the rack-mount on the back and combine them and should get enough combined wattage to no longer get the cut-out issue. My stupid triangle battery cuts-out for like two hours before it will reset itself! I have no idea how to manually reset it so it will work so I just have to sit there and wait for the thing to power-back-up. So, question, Jonny --- will this make my two batteries work as one 48v40ah? If it DOES then I should get almost 2kw on my 3kw hub and if I keep my controller set down to, maybe, 7 of 9 it might not cut-out. See, how it is is like this. I have the 3kw hub and the triangle battery that's 52v22ah so a little over 1kw. I have NINE settings for power. Setting 1 puts me at like 3mph and won't let more than like 50watts through... setting 9, I guess, goes up to 3000 or 5000 watts! I dunno... 'cause I usually keep it on level 3, which is like 900 watts... and if there's a huge hill I'm going up I set it to level 4! That cranks it up to about 1300 watts output and if I put it on level 5 ... POP!!! Power cuts when I get on the throttle hard and there I am waiting for 2 hours for the BMS (or whatever) to reset and come back! Will using this combiner allow me to crank it up to level 5 or 6 or 7 without cutting out? Thanks man - great channel. I gots to get me a mid-drive for one of my bikes from you now. Looks like hill climbing in San Francisco will not be such a nightmare if I get into mid drive!
Ciao, puoi fare un video anche per il display DM03 o almeno scrivermi la password per entrare nel menu’ advance settings? Grazie mille in anticipo Giordan
I use my bafang on a trike. I am thinking of mounting a motor on my Tour Easy bent. I don't need usb. I use a battery pack to power my phone because I use that for navigation. In my view the battery on the bike is to power the bike and nothing else. I don't even like the light that came with my bafang. Its just going to cut down on my mileage. I have the c18 display. I will consider some other display for my other bent. But the c18 is fine for me. What I would really like to see is a different mounting system. One that would allow me to quickly remove the display if I go into a store. Much like what some lights or bike computers offer. The egg rider is way too small.
@@briankent6164yes that's because it needs battery that is actively clock the time. Things like desktop computer can still work with correct time even when they are disconnected because they have a coin cell battery in the motherboard which tracks that. So yes they are completely useless without this. You can however buy little clocks you can mount on the handlebar or stem.
The battery meter isn't accurate cause its 13s 13 cells in series which at 4.2 volts is 54.6 volts. So if you selected 52v for your "48v" battery the meter will be more accurate. IDK why for power tools they advertise max charged voltage but not for ebikes. 5 cell is advertised as 20v. Therefor 13 cell should be 52v. Thats why they aren't accurate. It can also show all the error codes such as 21h, no speed detection registering which is nice
EggRider can allow two settings to be changed with the press of a button
@@JohnnyNerdOut is it possible to lock that with a pin code a special manipulation ?
Thank you
Holy crap.. this is EXACTALLY what I need!
8:01 does the 600C display let you change the max speed? Thank you!!
Yes. They all have speed limit options though.
@@JohnnyNerdOut thanks!
How ? I can not do anything with it.
my bike used an 800s can i use a 850c?
If it’s a bafang it should have no problem
Ciao, puoi fare un video anche per il display DM03 o almeno scrivermi la password per entrare nel menu’ advance settings?
Grazie mille in anticipo
Giordan
6:00 Nah use 5. Anything else is wrong. Because 3 doesnt give enough option, but 9 will wear out the +/- buttons real fast
What mean 21 H in
It means it’s not detecting any speed. Check to make sure the speedometer sensor is hooked up correctly
Anyone think the clock feature on the display is useless. You'd have to set it every time you disconnect the battery
No its saved along with all your settings you have it set for
@ferguson8143 Help me understand! My clock goes back to noon every time I disconnect my battery to charge it.
People aren't electrical engineers. - A nerd in Detroit.
I don't believe that a ebike can go for thousands and thousands of miles. They don't last that long.
I have about 10k miles in my original motor. Bafang BBSHD
Not a big fan of the EggRider, tried it, sold it.
C245 looks like the one to try
Do these work on any e-bike
No. These are for the Bafang mid drive motors
