Love the idea that he complies with the note's warnings to not do something and at the episode's end he ignores a note's warning to not do something. Subconsciously, him writing "SG was here" suggests he wants to be caught if only not deliberately.
While in Omaha, Nebraska Jimmy went from paranoid of being recognized and listening to a police radio every night, to robbing a department store, to drugging and robbing people at their homes with his crew of criminal misfits😂
Jimmy would be perfectly fine if he didnt take that job at cinnabon. He had enough money to live under the radar and never be caught but nope. He spoke Cinnabon into existence when st the vacuum shop and had his fate sealed by a cinnamon roll.
This entire montage was a brilliant usage of absolutely everything; foreground, background, hair, make-up, subtle symbolism, practical tricks (especially with the doorstop), and a wonderfully powerful performance by... well... "Mr. Show". 😉
On Saul he's doing a massive combover. On BCS when he fully becomes Saul after Kim leaves they show him in his new mansion getting ready for the day and he has a rather elaborate combover going on.
Just pull a Jason Bourne situation where you don't remember anything and it'll be like watching it for the first time ever. But the problem with that is you'll also have forgotten to rewatch the series again, its really a tricky situation.
The big bay doors are probably locked at night. Jimmy/Saul wouldn’t have the keys to them. The contracted janitorial staff would most likely have them.
The most unbelievable thing is that the mall would have a trash area without an overhead door you could easily pull open, and a few unlocked. Its Nebraska, and the main janitor is still there for the night.
At some point, all of the clips are gonna be here and someone could theoretically watch all of breaking bad or better call Saul from these 2 or 3 minute videos
It would have ruined the scene, but you'd think there would be a way for him to contact security to come and open that door, or mall store managers would be given a key for it.
like how even in prison at the end he is doing kitchen work. Guess that's his skillset now. Sheesh though. 86 years in prison. He life would be over even if he did get out on good behavior which I wouldn't put it past 20 years first. He set himself up to die in prison.
I don't know why despite Gene being in that room for about 4 minutes, when watching it for the first time it felt eternal, that's how immersive this show is, I can remember this vividly
The janitor was probably the last guy who was opening that door that night. Would Jimmy just have sat in that dumpster room all night until morning if no one else cam to open that door? And why is the dumpsters in a room like that? That just makes no sense. How does the trash truck get into that narrow room with the only entrances being a door to pick up the dumpsters to put the trash into the trash truck. Dumpsters are never in a room like that, they're always outside since there is no way for a trash truck to get into there.

I understand he didn’t open the door because he didn’t want to alert the police and run the risk of being recognised, but honestly isn’t it *more* suspicious that he didn’t just use it instead of waiting all night waiting for someone to come in the next morning? If it was you, and he didn’t just explain to the cops he got locked out on accident when you opened that door in the morning, wouldn’t you wonder why he didn’t do that and why he would be so afraid of calling them that he’d stay there all night instead? Isn’t that the kind of gossip that would spread in your workplace like wildfire as you all wonder what’s up with him? As a scene to explain how terrified he is of being caught every single day and the lengths he’ll go to in order to stay undercover - until he decides he wants to get back in the game that is - it works really well. But in practise, this would cause way more alarm bells than a 2 minute conversation explaining you got locked out would be.
Some people are just polite to a fault and would be too timid/embarrassed to open the door even if it meant staying the night. It's surprisingly easy for people to write these things off, because some people really do go that far out of their way to avoid causing a 'scene', even if it is blatantly unreasonable for them to expect that of themselves.
Honestly it probably helped cement Genes character as a well meaning but slightly timid Cinnabon manager. The fact he’d be willing to wait all night just to not waste police time matches the sort of person Gene was going for until he began to slip into Saul again. I’m sure plenty of people would consider doing what Gene does here, myself included, out of pure shyness and not wanting to make a scene.
@@supanutsinphatsirikul117There's a zero percent chance a random police officer that shows up is gonna think the random cinnabon guy in the mall is a notorious criminal from New Mexico on the run. Jimmy was too paranoid here 😂
