What a legacy Michael left behind! Are there musicals for ANY other artists living or dead? I guess NOT! This proves how great Michael was and his legend just seems to keep getting bigger and bigger as every year passes! RIP, Michael, you were a gift to the world and I'm so honored to have lived in your era! There never was, and never will be anyone like you on this earth!❤❤❤
Not trying to be rude, but what a dumb and lazy comment about no other musicals about artists, Cher, Tina Turner, The Temptations, Jersey Boys, Donna Summer, and that was just off the top of my head.
There are many other musicals based on music artists. Carol King, who wrote a bunch of really good and really wel known music, has a spectacular musical illustrating most of her life and career. There are a few Beatles themed tribute musicals. Jersey Boys: the Musical is a quite popular show around a real group. Many “jukebox” musicals such as & Juliet or Moulin Rouge feature famous music pieces from recognizable bands and writers such as the Backstreet Boys, lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Ariana grande, the weekend, and much more. Even some things such as mamma Mia, using ABBA’s music, are considered to be jukebox musicals. Even some musicals are just based on true events such as come from away and Chicago. Finally, many real musicians are involved in being actors in shows or helping produce them. Many famous musicians have written music for Broadway and have performed in certain shows too. Think Bonno (Bono?), Hugh Jackman, Gaten Mattarazo, Billy Crystal. Besides productions specifically mentioning famous vocalists or bands, many other shows, such as the famous Hamilton or the less titular Assassins, use history to represent real life events and people. Thai is represented in all types of shows from political dramas such as Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson to only mere resemblance to an actual person through satire, Like Shakespeare in Something rotten. Many shows use history and real events to exemplify real people. I’d do more research if I were you, but if you’re interested in real people and musicians inspiring musicials, it happens a lot. I saw this show about a month after this and it was absolutely incredible! 🔥🔥🔥 Elijah Johnson who plays "MJ" is on another level, I can't wait to get back to Broadway to see this amazing show again... Wow!!!
If MJ’s estate clears his name after winning all trials against Robson and Safechuck and releases a biopic, then MJ the Musical will get a revamp, along with Cirque du Soleil ONE!!! The revamped MJ the Musical will have a world tour, with each incarnation of MJ being portrayed by an actor from every single country that has a production (United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia)!!!! That group will be a global affair!!!! The world tour will have dialogue in all the Michaels' native languages (English, German, etc), and all songs performed in English!!!!! Increase the number of MJ incarnations from 3 to 4! And increase the number of actors playing Michael Jackson at different stages of his life from 3 to 4! Split the Middle Michael part into two separate versions (one playing Teenage Michael in the mid-late 1970s and the other playing Young Adult Michael in the early-mid 1980s), all 4 Michaels playing instruments (guitar, keyboards, bass, piano, drums, percussion, all other instruments that Michael played in his lifetime, and instruments that Michael never played in his lifetime)! New characters, new set, All of the four Michaels’ dance-offs with Nicholas Brothers (this time both brothers will be portrayed by men), Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Bob Fosse etc, new songs (one of them being one of the group songs sung by all of the Michaels outside of MITM and finale), Thriller in full costume and new choreography, Smooth Criminal with The Lean, Billie Jean with drum-only dance solo, All four MJs being lead roles; Rob/Joe Jackson being supporting role; new costumes, the MITM ending being sung by one of the Michaels instead of his mother Katherine!!! All of the Michaels will sing solos, duets, trios, and quartets!! All the Michaels will extend their vocal range (Little Michael goes down to G3; all the others go down to G2; while all of them will also go up to the whistle register)!!!! After the world tour, every single production of MJ will adopt this revamped form and all future productions will have revamped forms!!! I’ll watch when a revamped form first appears during the world tour, and then I’ll listen to the International Tour cast recording with all the songs and dialogue from the world tour!!! All dates of the world tour will be sold out, along with every single production of MJ!!!! Every single celebrity and person and everyone who had watched the original 2021 version of MJ will watch the show again, this time an overhaul!!!!! Everyone in the world will attend the revised version of this musical!!!🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤

i agree with you that he left a LOT behind, but there’s tina turner the musical, there’s a musical about queen and one about dolly parton :)
