Man, I loved that car. My buddy had an 82 RS Blue and Silver two tone, Gorgeous mags, straight pipes, no bubble hatch, so maybe 84. I always thought it was the best looking of the fox body cars. i had a bit more refined 86 Thunderbird 5.0, two tone with added skirts and mags, so easy to work on. Those were the days. One of my favorite memories was working the security gate at a company my buddy and I both worked at when I saw him drive by screaming down the road, 3 minutes later he's coming back still flying when he turns into the company yelling "open the gate open the gate" he drove in, parked right behind my security shack, ran in sat down saying "I was here the whole time, okay, the whole time." I'm like what? a few seconds later a cruiser goes flying by with his lights flashing, "Oh, the whole time".
I love the Capri's too and sounds like you've got some really good memories there. I wonder if the cop caught him lol

My first car was a $300 1980 Capri no 5.0 in it a straight 6 I think 3.6L not sure it's been a longgggg time. Currently have a 91 GT. The fox type body style never left me.

I always wanted a Capri, I had a chance to buy one locally from a place called Dave's Mustang Parts about 15 years ago, it had the gt hatch with 93 cobra ground effects, 87-93 H.O engine and t-5, 93 cobra wheels, but I didn't have the funds...they eventually parted it out (which I despised) and I regret it to this day.... awesome to see someone else take this on... fantastic 🏃🦊

2:36 PUMP IT! PUMP IT!! 😂 Ahhhh, the old days of carb driving. I love Merc Capris, would love to get one in the stable. I have the exact same exhaust on my fox, except it's all MAC from headers to the FlowMasters.

My coat was overkill for sure, but I was still getting over being sick. Funny this is actually EFI but he's having problem with tune on it.

@@jpp9846 Yeah apparently the intake looks like a carb but it is some sort of EFI (fitech), I guess Holley does one too.

J PP yeah it’s the fi tech go efi. Or similar to the holley sniper system! It’s 87-93 fuel tank and efi. I wish I coulda gone with the holley sniper now looking at it.

Ahhhhhh man..you have to have the bioble rear window in a capri..and your carburated..pump it once or twice 2 start...I have to watch more videos now..I have 1985 4 eye mustang.

If you want a one of car, keep it stock looking. I have an 85 Mustang GT vert. It looks just like it did the day it was sold and I have yet to see another one on the road or local car shows.
85 is my buddy Matt's favorite year. Those are nice for sure.

Actually Is a Mustang in mexico. Your Capri was sold as a bubbleback Mustang but with some aestetic differences as the front, all Mustang thought 1979-84 were v8 302. We never knew 4 cilinder Mustang

@@GearHead704 for US Fox Mustang fans always find weird that. Even More rare cars are the 1984 svo mustang but not the ones turbo 4 cylinders you know. The mexican svo was built over a bubbleback Capri but sold as mustang all with v8 302 but with factory dacia headers,4 barrel and 351 ignition order.

It is rare to find a Capri around any more. I had an 86 Capri and would love to find another one. The only one with factory fuel injection.

Jim Mitchell I was also told to keep the rpms up on the motor. So that was around the 2k rpm mark in 4th.
Can you possibly do a video on why my 93 fox pulsates untill its warm. just bought it. Fog pump deleted, header back exhaust. Thats all...
Hmmm, that's tough to know. Matt at Fox Mustang Restoration does diagnosis of running and driving cars so if you are local it may be worth it to give him a call or head over there.
Awesome! If it weren’t for that sunroof, you wouldn’t have fit, lol. Well... at least I know now what seats I can’t put in the ‘88 (I’m 6’3”). Hopefully the A4 sits lower.

Fifty_Fox the JBL speakers actually pair together, and the Capri is a radio delete, so while I don’t have a radio, I just put on on the pad and one where the radio goes and boom, for $150 I have a radio 😂😂
Ben Lineberger nothin wrong with that man! I have one in my garage and it sounds great. Might go in the car temporarily.... once I get it running, that is. The Capri is awesome, hope to see more of it

What heads and cam in the Capri ?
F cam and GT40 Aluminum Heads I'm 99% sure
2camsam f cam, and gt40 heads that are ported. They are just stock explorer heads. 10:1 compression. The motors actually already built for an on3 turbo kit, but just running it NA till I get there.
