    Would a symptom at the time be that you would get just the starter spinning but not pushing the bendix all the way out. I replaced the switch and still get intermittent starting. I’m between something being wrong in the harness to the switch or my flywheel is toast….

      Have you tried manually jumping the starter with a wire to see if you get engagement? Depending on the trans you can unbolt an inspection plate and check the flywheel teeth without removing the starter.
