Thanks so much for this video! I know to take it apart and clean the way you showed but it wasn't until you mentioned the ball bearing coming off and getting stuck to the other side that it clicked! Mine had come off onto the other side and was on top of a piece of cat hair but the hair was so compact and tight (and my cat's hair is light brownish golden) that I thought it was supposed to be there and was there for padding. If you saw it you would know what I mean as it looked like felt almost, or something similar. When you mentioned the bearing I couldn't believe that was hair. Got some plyers and pulled it off, took the hair out and good as new. Thanks so much!

Thank you. You saved me from giving this thing a ride to the train station. I had taken everything off that I knew about and cleaned the heck out of it and still got the code. Now it is working like it;s new again. Thanks again!

Woner if something more permanent could be 3D printed for a long-term fix

Great question, I don't have one to try. I know adding the foam worked for a bit but wore out after a while and I just removed it.

My son has one. It has my wheels spinning, so to speak. LOL. My vacuum is back in business thanks to your video. Others didn't mention to taking the part off and searching inside for more hidden gems.

just cleaned it out two days ago to check how well it’s doing. doing great so far I’ll let it go for another month and then see if I can upload a video of me taking it apart and examining it. I don’t know your address to send you foam.
