Very nice job showing the watches big enough for me to see, explaining so I understand and showing that it should actually work before putting the back on!
IT WORKED!! I sent away for the tool, & got my dead watches all lined up, hoping to open at least ONE...
They all popped off easily!! I'm thrilled!! I spent hours before with several screw drivers and knives, and not one would open.
Thank you so much--I'm free from all those Jewelry Store charges all the time to put in new batteries. Great video & great product.
Thanks so much for posting the video. I was having difficulty with several watches and ordered basically the same device on Amazon and it worked great! Just wish I had watched your video sooner so I wouldn’t have scratched up the back of my watch with tools that didn’t work.
Great to hear!
I had to search for your video again to say THANK YOU!!!!
I've spent months, spent $100 ($50 on 2 different Bergeon tools that didn't work) trying to get all of my watch backs off as they've all died over the pandemic timeframe. I came across your video, tried this tool and within seconds the backs were off!! I couldn't believe it! $8, worth it. Thank you!!
hugs hugs
You get excited like me when something ACTUALLY works! Love it😄
I just received my pry tool today. Mine must be a cheaper version, as the metal has tiny chips in it now. Didn't work using it the proper way you show, much like a shovel. I was about to give up but decided to turn it the other way and it worked.
Very happy.
it is a good product... enjoy
A FRIEND GAVE ME A HANDLESS WATCH MADE IN CHINA AND I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO OPEN THE BACK. SO, I WILL HAVE TO ORDER THE TOOL YOU USED ! GREAT VIDEO !!! THANKS, JIM
did it work?
Hey I watched your vid a few times and decided to purchase the tool through your amazon link. I hope you get a commission off of the sale b/c the tool definitely works 💯 %.
I have a Caravalle watch made by Bulova and this watch has a snap back case without a recess for a tool to be inserted.
I have lots of watch tool from #1 screwdrivers to the yellow handle case back remover. None of them worked. Even a razor blade.
The pry bar in your video worked like a champ. I’m so happy I saw your video and ordered the tool.
I also have the same watch press and just like you said. The press is essential for reinstalling the case back to the watch body.
What they say is correct. The Right Tools For The Right Job. Thanks again.
thanks!
My snap-off-back watches are stubborn! Just like you say. I have other watch opening tools that will not get under the arched groove. The batteries from the department store replacements become depleted every eight months. I will order this tool. Thank you for your kind help.
Thanks for that. I also have many watches. I click the button/winder screw thing out at the side so I'm saving battery time on watches I'm not wearing!
Thank you from Sydney Australia $60 here for jeweller to replace battery!!!
you are welcome... paypal donation link in video description :)
I ordered a similar tool and of course it’s coming from China and I needed the watch for next weekend and the odds that I would get the tool within 3 weeks is slim to none. But, at least I will have it for next time.
Thank you. We almost gave up hope.
You got this!
Thanks so much for posting this video. I have several battery watches and using the standard opener tool I was able to open all but one. I will try this tool for that stubborn one. :)
@@LEARNINGCHORDS I ordered the tool yesterday and will let you know. :)
UPDATE: I've been busy and not had time to update you about my purchase. This tool is fantastic! I was able to open a couple of watch cases that I could not open with the standard watch opening tool. Also, it is so much easier to use this to to open ALL watch cases. They should include this tool in every watch toolkit, instead of the sad little watch opener they have in the kits now. Thanks again for posting this video. I've reclaimed 4-5 watches of my own that needed batteries, as well as a few for friends. :)
@@MyClassicJewelry - Thank a lot man !
Used a knife two seconds off after you said “a little notch” done found it lol thanks
I have a dozen darling watches & I hate to pay $10 to get a new battery put in, so none of them work any more! I just ordered the tool after watching your video, and keeping my fingers crossed...
Just ordered the tool. Thank you for sharing!!
Did it work?
I used an exacto kinfe, with the blade only out a little bit
Just ordered it!!! Hopefully can finally open my Movado :-/
Did it work? :)
I’ve been trying to open mine for the past hour! I can’t find a little hatch/opening at all and it’s sooo thin, I cut my hands several times already and can’t seem to get it to budge
hey sammy let me know if you get it done
FYI: I always wear a suede leather (gardening) glove on my left hand while opening a watch. Because I used to cut myself a lot, too.
my watch has no indent area for me to snap off the cap (it was like a dollar when I bought it so not sure if its just cheaply made). would this tool still help or could I use a razor blade?
if a razor blade slips you are going to be seriously hurt..
@@LEARNINGCHORDS 👍 I found a very thin screwdriver and this tool with a screw/twist thing and wedged it between that to hold in place. I got it done 😌👍
GOOD JOB!!!!
No notch/gaps on the back of my watches. Smooth seal all the way around. I need a 3 jaw type of remover that will bite under the no notch no gap back. Thanks for the vid, but no help for me.
this is terrible lars
Great Tool and 'well presented video'; Thank You :-)
Got the back off now how do you snap it back on
The watch you bought us like my breitling watch can you tell what model is it please
Yay, I have tons of watches that I can't get the backs off. Thanks for posting . I will try this gaget.
Justine Ager what your useing is a battery removal tool and not a snap back remover
I bought this tool after seeing this video and I still can't get the bastard thing off. I had two problem watches and this opened one, but the other stinking sonofabitch thing won't budge.
Only started watch collecting recently
At home between me and my wife, we have 5 Quartz watches all requiring batteries, 4 of them was no problem snapping the cover off.
However One watch is impossible and we have all tried. It's driving me up the wall.
this tool does all I have.. if you cant do it take it to a watch place that will let you watch as they open it
it worked easily on my Bulova Precisionist. Pressing the back on with a pressing tool was a different story :-(
Did you break the crystal?
Thanks for the video. I definitely need this tool in my life.
Which is your silver watch
What do yo do, if there is no gap or notch, like my Seiko?
it might be a throw away... if you can't find anything take it to a store and ask how much to change battery.. see if they say it is possible or not
great video , i gonna get Tools et try to open watches thanks , from Nikita montreal , quebec
Where can I get this tool!! I have a stubborn watch.
link is in video description
If you can get the snap-back off my Seiko 7T32, you're a fucking genius.
I can do it
This gave me the great idea to use a knife to open my watch............my knife snapped
That Italian Boy I stabbed my left hand. 😥
sir, is any way to pull out that machine ?,
what machine
@@LEARNINGCHORDS my watch's machine use battery is same like yours,
Thank you for posting. But where I can buy the tool and the name?
i dont think you can buy the name
Are you a watch Repairer
where did you buy that tool?
look at the link in the video description
$6 for a watch battery replacement? It's more like $10 - $12 around here.
Went up to $7 where I normally go but there is another one that charges significantly more!
They charged me $20 one time. That was the last time I paid for someone to do it.
The back of my Timex Watch won't come off for anything.
i HAD A WATCH and said the same thing. I took it to the watch shop and he popped the back in front of me in less than 10 seconds.
The fact that is’s bent like a pry-bar/wrecking bar/nail-puller/staple-puller has to be a big part of the secret. If the gap is wide enough to accommodate the full width of the blade, you could twist the tool rather than push straight down, but the other part of the secret would be that the tool was made out of hardened tool steel (like a chisel) or it’s going to get bent. Most screwdrivers AREN’T tool steel. The only ones I’ve seen that ARE were in a set of gunsmiths screwdrivers, and those aint cheap.
You never twist the tool. It scratches the watch. You push it in and use it as a lever. Also opening a watch is not the problem. The problem is closing it so that it's watertight for which a press is recommended.
@@BlazPivk you deserve more likes after 3 years my friend
Jewellers here in UK will charge you £35!
$35 MILLION?
Jeweler wanted $26.00 - bought a new watch for $29.00
"This works...." IF you buy this product.
