So Helpful!! I spent 5 minutes scratching my watch with a pry tool and this method opened it in 10 seconds
This was the only technique that actually worked for me. I tried everything else. Thank you so much for your video.
This genuinely helped me get the back off of an old watch my mother had! Thank you :)
Simple and elegant; worked like a charm for me. Thank you!
Thank you! I went to 2 seperate jewelers who could not get my watch open, but managed to do it myself copying this video
You guys are brilliant!!! Awesome video!! I had a stubborn vintage mechanical watch that would not open. I bought pro case knifes, special tools and nothing worked. This trick did it for me. Keep up the good work!!!
AWESOME! This worked in snap! I didn’t have a lip or gap. Thought it was hopeless. I just used an eyeglass repair kit screwdriver. Thank you!
Thank you sooo much for this video!!! I tried ALL the tips and tricks I could find. Nothing could budge it. To make matters worse, it is square, lol. I used your hack and it worked!!
Absolute winner of a tip - bought a Tissot "Precious Flower" as part of a job lot, which needed a battery. Previous owner/s obviously tried and failed - lovely polished backplate absolutely riddled with ugly scars and scratches. Tried this trick and it popped off in minutes, new battery in and the watch is running like a dream. Thank you so much!
you bought a quartz watch?? A Tissot!?? WHY?? Get a REAL Tissot...a mechanical. In the end times, (Trump induced) you wont be able to find a battery
@markfrost2707 I have MANY Tissot watches - quartz battery, automatic mechanical, and even three or four Tuning fork "Tissonics"... Seeing as the best silver oxide batteries are made in Switzerland and Japan I'm not too worried about future supplies...
I hesitated to click this video because I assume it's all crappy clickbait at this point. THIS VIDEO IS NOT CLICKBAIT! It is the truth! This technique works amazingly well! Thank You!!!
This trick worked great! I work on small electronics and have changed many watch batteries for friends and family over the years, but I couldn't get my own open. This method got it open for me. Thanks for posting!
The only video on RUclips that helped. Thank you!!!
Omg this worked so well I’ve been trying to get the back off my friends watch for an hour or more looked at your vid literally 30 seconds later it was off thank you great hack 👏👏👏👏
Excellent tip! I wasn't convinced it would work, but sure enough, the caseback came off very easily after doing this. Thanks for posting the video.
I appreciate the information---I recognized your Utah accent in 1 second and knew before looking up you absolutely had to be in Utah lol. Thanks again!
I've had a caseback stuck on a watch for probably 15 years now. Every few years I try again to pry it open. Finally got it with this trick. Incredible.
Thank you! It worked! Jaz Paris watch that I received from a friend sine years ago. Even with the back off, I still don't see a notch!
Thanks to this hack I was able to save a favorite watch of mine I've had for over 20 years!
Had 2 very stubborn casebacks I couldn't remove. I tried for several days, using jewelers screwdrivers, knife blades, anything to try and get under the covers. So frustrating. This trick removed both in a matter of seconds. One of the best, most helpful, tool hacks I've come across. Thank you for posting.
PERFECT!! Five thumbs up. Thank you!
Perfect hack if you dont mind the minimal out of sight damage to the back.
Worked perfectly!! Thank you
Worked 1st time, thank you, didnt think it would ever come off
Best video removal ever, thank you!
Genius hack! Totally worked. Thank you so much! Hope you’re doing well :)
Thank you so much.
Life saver brother! 👌🏽👌🏽
Worked perfectly, thanks. No groove at all that I could see with magnifier but it popped off with the tiniest flat blade screwdriver I could find and a small hammer.
Thank you!
Thanks, this finally did it for me!
You, SiR, are the BeST... I was successful w. the rubber ball technique on another watch but, this case Nothing. - till Now..Thank You
Worked beautifully 🎉
Brilliant stuff😊
Great Video What do do if you have a stubborn screw bezel you can get off ?
I bet it left a scratch. No way that didnt leave some kind of mark.
Thanks for this video, my old CITIZEN ANA-DIGI TEMP was impossible to get the back off (no notch). As a Welshman I always knew in my heart that the answer was to hit it with a hammer!!
Thank you so much! I scratched the back of mine before trying this, but it's ok lol it was a cheapo watch from Walmart.
I was working on a old fossil big tic that was original never been opened since it came from manufacturing and this was the only thing that worked
great trick!
ok I'm trying - but my seiko cocktail watch is so teeny tiny! I'm going to comeback to try this again. But do you have any additional tips for small watches?
anyone can get THOSE type off...came here for help with a vintage screw on back and you KNOW how hard they can be.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 thank you
I wasnt able to get the back of mine open.
I opened some Timexs just fine,
I thought I could do the same with this one but I put the wrath of god trying to pry it open no luck,
I tried the microdrive and hammer and no luck,
Its looking pretty uncheveled atm lol,
A lot of banging and no luck,
thankfully i can still return the watch but its so beautiful and it has everything i want, date, day, and time,
UGGGGGGGGGH!!! :-(
is it a mechanical--winding watch?? Are you sure it doesnt SCREW on?
I’m glad you used a cheap watch for this😂
It's ridiculous how tight & difficult many of these case backs are.
Works but tricky on my Omega De Ville. Thanks for the tip!
still scratched the back
my watch has no lip and back is so tight it will admit any penetration even as small as a razor blade. It there any way to open his snap back?
There are some that screw on that you need a special tool to grip it and unscrew without damage or injury. No tab or pry lip may be an indication it's that type.
@@Steveh112 Thanks so much. My watch was not screw on but a Normal??? snap on/off back. After trying seven or more types of openers, I finally took it in and the watch man finally found a tool that went into the seam.
I wont dare to do it on my Casio
Nice trick if you can find the small gap hold the watch and the screwdriver at the same time when you tap as usual another video that didn't work
Doesnt work at all for me. guess my watch sucks lol
Abuse of tools. One does not treat screwdrivers that way. Use the right tool.
No! No! No! Screwdrivers are for screws not prying off casebacks or being hammered. Water resistance out the window 😢
well it not work and I still managed to scratch the back this is by far the worse advice ever
