One of my favourite cars! Thanks for the insight, we never got these here in North America. The tarmac rally sprints look like a ton of fun, is it fair to say it's sort of like a really fast autocross course?
Could you please do some more videos on this model. I would be interested in hearing about the engine modifications. Also, what would be the best way to reduce understeer when accelerating out of corners with the TME? Is the standard front diff sufficient for Track Driving or is an LSD upgrade required?
driftbro I’ve driven a few 8s and I own a 6, the main differences are the overall car size and the gearing, every time I jump into an 8 or 9 It feels huge after being used to my 6, beyond that the main thing is gearing as you’re comparing the 5 speed box found in the earlier cars with the later 6, interestingly the 5 speed is built a bit stronger than the 6 speed so many people prefer the old 5 speed for its reliability as well as its gear ratios. I chose the evo 6 due to its small size, it feels much more nimble and agile through turns, its not any faster or slower but if I was going to make an evo faster I’d want to retain that manoeuvrability
@@dub_cub8936 Thanks for replying dude. If I'm not mistaken, the 7, 8 and 9 Evos have a wheelbase that is over 110mm longer than the 4, 5 and 6, also they are a bit heavier. Isn't the 5 speed manual more for competition use than street driving? Can you feel the difference in chassis rigidity between the 8 and the 6?
Evo the best car ever

The std set up is great, LSD' makes it even better, but needs some careful set up.
often sway bars and shocks is goo enough
:)
Whiteline poly bushes are really soft tho aren't they. Easy to install though
Have you ever done modifications on the lancer gsr model cm5a?
Great informative vid.
I'd like to see the before and after dyno graphs
It looks like this red GC8 is always there
More evo vi vids please.
In terms of performance and handling, which car is better, the Evo 8 MR or the Evo 6 TME?
