I have Stronghold 2 Steam Edition. I can start the Launcher but when i want to start the game. There ist onlay a black Screen for 3 Seconds and then the Game crashes. IT also doesnt Work If I Open in Window and Not fullscreen.
@@vinceblanket1327 I found a solution though - right click on the. Exe and select properties >> under compatability >> compatability mode, select Windows 98/ME, it should now work
@@marko2081 switch to my gaming pc form laptop. it just doesnt work. theres an app called dxwind with which u can run it on windowed mode and it solves it.

Worked like a charm, grew up playing this game and just got in on PC was very upset to see it not working. Really appreciate the fix!

@@marko2081 i got it to work on my laptop using dxwnd. on windowed mode.
that option doesn`t exist on windows 7 man....i can`t find any answear to it...
win 7 installs it when you lunch the game
