A quick walk through, talk through video on the excellent #helikontex Bushcraft Haversack.
At first glance the haversack is a simple bag but it can accommodate all your essentials such as water, food, and fire lighting kit. It is covered by a flap with a classic British fastening that originated from military equipment. In the front pocket it is possible to attach velcro pockets and organisers. You can put an axe, a saw or a knife on the sides.

I got one of these and added 2 x SERE pouches in matching colour that can sit on either short side with some smaller tools, fire kit, snacks etc. No more weight, still balanced but a bit of more space to work with. Pouches are very easy to put on and off and I only ever use them if I feel I need to. I may just be having them on a belt instead.

Thanks for confirming the SERE pouches fit. I bet they work well on the sides.

I don't own this bag yet but I do own the Helikon Tex Bushcraft Satchel in Coyote. I use it to transport my Trangia 27 and food alongside my Tasmanian Tiger TT Raid Pack MK3 Coyote. A great combination.
