How do you make your mats look good?
KC really do seem to only make high quality products. Highly recommend Pol Star interior cleaner. Its lovely.
I've seen UK detailers use Garage Therapy Tyre Serum in a 1:1 with water mix, so thats what I'll try next.
Really good to hear your enthusiasm here
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Out of all the products I’ve tried, this is my favourite for mats by far. I just hope that the alcohol content doesn’t contribute to long term drying out and cracking
I hated the worn looking Weathertech's in my F150 until I found this product. I basically use the same technique as you. The coating looks great (new looking mat) for about a week then it dyes back to a uniform more flat color that looks clean but not brand new.
Lately, I've been noticing a lot of film forming inside my windshield, but not the tinted side windows. I don't smoke, but I do blow out my cloth seats every few weeks, so it might be fine dust. Or, the Gummifix is maybe releasing something.
That’s interesting to hear. I haven’t noticed anything yet when it comes to issues with a film on my windows but I will keep an eye on it for sure
Good review mate
Thank you
Great video. Like you say Gummifix is great, it is a must if you have rubber mats. I spray on and then buff the excess. I’ll do maintenance washes with n914 rinseless weekly. Gummifix once a month.
Thank you 🙏 I’ll be doing the same routine with the mats in my Jeep. A little goes a long with this product. Koch Chemie makes some good products by the looks of it, I’m tempted to try more of their line up
This KC product really works. I used to use McKee's and there is no comparison.
I love it. I been noticing something odd. I feel like with a bit of water on the mats, the surface actually got grippier when wearing runners. I didn’t mention it in the video because i don’t know if it’s just my mind tricking me or not
Thanks for the great and detailed review! Have you tried it on the Westhertech floor mats? They are very finicky and I haven’t seen anything thus far that would restore them. Some will restore them and looked good when freshly applied but look faded an hour later. Thanks
Thank you for the feedback. I have not tried it weather tech mats as almost all the cars I’ve tried it on have had OEM rubber mats. I tried it on a Husky floor mat and it seems to do fine on that. I’ll try to find a weather tech mat and report back
Thanks for providing help on my question I asked 🙂. I never wipe the mat down with a clean microfibre afterwards which is where I am going wrong
No problem. It will be interesting to see if that helps in your case
@@TheCarDetailingChannel will update you on how I get on next time I clean my mats
How is Guf different from gkv?
Be careful this makes the mats super slippery . I was told
By the people I bought it from wasn’t slippery
Say if you’re in a pinch on time and don’t have an hour to wait will you still get the no slip feel I’d say 5-10 minutes?
I think that would be fine. I would go a little lighter on the application maybe and then remove any excess right away. Even with dry time, the effect still doesn’t really last more than a few weeks
What about the smell? Does it smell irritating like KC PSS?
It’s smells like rubbing alcohol when using but the dissipates rather fast is not noticeable at all by the time the mats go back into the car
Never fall in love man
😂😅 thanks for watching
