Of all the "This is my" guests, Martin is the absolute master of keeping a straight face. Didn't so much as twitch a fraction of a smile at any of the jokes.
He is very witty and fast but in case you didn’t know, all panel shows are recorded over a much longer time (not “live” as you see it) including some re-do s etc that all get edited in to look like it was live
@@foresthill8462yes they are recorded and edited, but Lee is still fast. However, as I have seen him interviewed live and he was surprisingly not as fast as you would’ve expected. However, being witty and quick is only effective when you have an appreciative audience. I have been told I am quick witted but unfortunately many of the people I associate with have no sense of humour and things go over their head. Lee moves in circles where his humour is understood and appreciated and even expected. I think Rob is on par with Lee. In fact Rob cracks me up more.
@@PetroicaRodinogaster264saying you've been told you're quick witted and that things you say go over peoples heads is the fastest way to seem like a nonce. Free advice.
Richard Osman has stated on his podcast that this programme is the only panel show not scripted and that Lee Mack is truly quick. He added that sometimes a beat or two needs to be added in with Lee because he is quick. In interviews et al Lee is not working and does not have David to play off of, so he can relax. If you plan on being pedantic when you grow up, get your facts straight @foresthill8462
Can you explain the tenpin joke? It's over my head.. maybe its a UK thing. Tenpin is just 10 pin bowling as opposed to 5 pin with the holes.. but it doesn't seem as interesting as everyone reacting to it.
I'm disappointed David didn't bring up the choice of words on Xand's card. Martin "lent" him some beard, with the implication being that he had to give it back.
I know it wasn't true, but I want to add to David's ghost rant. They should be in the most populous cities and never are, but also, why the hell would a ghost haunt a NEW car? An old car that the person died in or treasured when they were alive, etc, has some logic to it. It's still patently untrue, but at least there's an internal consistency to the story. But a new car? One that didn't even exist when the person was alive? Are they so upset by carbon emissions that they'd haunt a completely random vehicle?
A 12 kilogram bowling ball , Lee? I used two coach bowling and have bowled many but you would need two arms to lift 12 kgs, that would be the size of a full grown piglet... One point two kilograms is more like it I would say...

That was an impressive poker face.
Never trust a man who doesn't crack up at funny jokes.
Good god, the sharpness and speed of Lee’s wit is phenomenal. I would never have thought of that ‘tenpin’ gag in a million years!

David's Ghost rantbis brilliant 😂

Maybe they cut it out….😂
If Xand had only just clippered his own beard, why not just glue that back on...
The fact that Lee’s story sounding the most plausible story of the 3 wasn’t true is incredible 😂
Lee never fails to impress me with the speed of his wit

Maybe the materials the car was made from were dug up from an ancient burial ground
wouldn’t be surprised if there were some older Mercedes using the departed’s teeth fillings for their metal.
Well done Martin for keeping a straight face the whole time!
this is one of the funniest bits of any episode.
I mean, obviously. Look at this man’s beard! Magnificent 🤩
Lee Mack is a phenomenon
His Swedish accent is so damn German haha
The ironic thing is, here in Sweden most floors are pine.
Easiest "this is my" in the history of this show. The other two stories were way beyond the realms of plausibility
YEs, but...... If one of those other 2 stories came from Bob, then all bets are off.....
@@Dan_d00d hahaha true
Martin. Kept straight face.......... reason. He forgot to put his deaf aid in.......... true or false........ easily done 😂
Martins voice wasn't like I expected.
6:25 😂
How did Roisin know it was Dr Xand?
The speed and manner in which she said Mercedes 500 says a lot. The only time she lit up.
7:55 Bowling balls are measured in pounds not kilograms. 14 kg would be an exceptionally heavy ball.😅
Mercedes 500 huh?
Very impressive if you bowl with a 14 kilogram bowling ball.. or even a 12 kilogram...
The numbers do not represent kilograms............ false!!

Yes. 12kg is nearly 2 stone.
@@briancox9357 1 stone is 14 lbs, about 7 kg... 2 stones is 28 Kgs, about 14 kgs, so 12 kgs is 0.86 stone
who picked the talentless Me Me Me Me Jama to be on this show
Being from Australia I've got no idea who she is, but I have to say I thought her segment was really funny.
I thought she was pretty funny throughout the show.
Cheers Geoff
