Idk which one to get, the 690 SMC or the 790 duke ? Which one do you recommend more. I would like to get the bike for fun and use it daily going to work and doing all the stuff. And on the weekends to travel like 600-700 km. Ty in advance

Best way to find out is to try both bikes😅 but what i can say is that the 690 SMC is definitely more fun than the duke 790 on short distances. If you are mostly going for longer trips (500km+) the 790 duke is the better choice, less vibrations, more chill to drive etc.

Hey metrox, I have a 2020 790 duke. Love it. Can you do a how to wheelie on the 790?

First things first……..get used to covering your rear break, don’t even start any of this if you aren’t using your rear break, literally just come to a stop with the rear break over and over. Keep it covered always!
If you can find a road with a slight hill that’s straight or just a good straight road….Put it in 2nd gear and keep the bike at a lower rpm but with enough power to bunny hop the front end up. So to start just slowly pull in the front break, feel your weight of the bike moving forward and slowly release the break so you feel you body free up like normal and as soon as you feel that just blip the the throttle and get comfortable popping the front end up over and over, then to get the front wheel up( the faster you get it up is better) so you want to use the clutch in the same way I just told you, slow down a bit, pull the clutch in slightly(not all the way, stop pulling in as soon as you feel the bike kinda disengage, and feel “free” or coasting, then again give it a blip while releasing the clutch out and try getting the timing down. Don’t over think it. Just pull the clutch in get into 2nd at a low rpm and give it some gas while you let the clutch out. Only give it as much as you feel comfortable with. And eventually you’ll get higher and higher with the front and also get it there faster. You can also do this in 3rd with a little more clutch. But the key is to get the bike in the air at a low rpm so you don’t have to rev the crap out of it, making you get to faster speeds than you need. 3rd might be easier once you get in in the air because the throttle response isn’t as harsh. So try 2nd 3rd, whatever gear you like. These bikes help with engine breaking but don’t rely on that! Once you bring the front end up, please use the rear break every time to put the bike down just to start off, it will become 2nd nature after a short while. So when you are in a panic, your first reaction will be hit the rear break, not just let off the throttle and hope it comes down. Even with the small bunny hop wheelies. Practice the rear break. This all sounds like a lot but it’s all natural after a while. It gets easy. Don’t use your arm strength to pick up the bike. It’s going to be natural for you to want to do that but don’t, all that does is make the bike pull right or left when the front wheel comes up. Relax, use the bike not your body. Let me know if you have any other questions I’ll try to help out haha😂

@@DolanMoore thanks, before I saw this I had it in track with awm on slip to 6 and I raised about a foot up before awn powered down the engine. Now I have a feel for being in the air I will put your instructions to place in a safe spot of course. Thank you for spending your time writing this reply. I will check out all your vids and upcoming vids. Thanks man, much love from Maryland

@@JoeRoganFact Absolutely man! I’d suggest just turning all the wheelie control/ slip stuff off. It’ll make you better for sure. I grew up riding dirtbikes and still do and I’m used to the bike moving around off road/ on road, it doesn’t bother me, it’s almost a safe place if you can imagine that. So yeah I usually keep all that off, it’s gonna make it more difficult to keep it on. You aren’t going to flip over backwards or slide out, just respect the bike and it’ll respect you. Once you start getting that “free” “loose” feeling on the bike you’ll never want to have those electronics on again. It adds a whole new meaning to riding. It may take some time but you’ll learn to enjoy it for sure haha. Don’t get me wrong the electrics are pretty good at what they do, but for me at least. I’ve found that all it does it suppress what you are trying to do on the bike. With it on it feels like you don’t have control over the bike and or you don’t know where the limit is, let’s just say…6 is the limit. You know what I mean? So yeah I’d highly advise to just feel the bike, learn it, but be smart about it. But again just do what you feel comfortable with! The key is to have fun not get hurt😂I haven’t posted in a while and I have a bunch of videos on my go pro. I just need to post them…so Thank you so much for checking them out! I’m from North Carolina.
