They used to make all of their shoes in the US and Canada, they had like 8 factories. they shut them all down and moved manufacturing to sweat shops in china. To afford Jordan's endorsement deal. Investors thought CEO was loony, Like "this is 1987, Dr. Evil... that kind of money doesn't exist". he said no, trust me, I got this. TONS of other companies followed, they were the first one to send 10s of thousands of people out work.
The only question that anyone should ask Jordan ever again is "Hey. have you at least met those Asian kids that make your shoes?" He spit on my shoe when I do. That's a "no".

I stopped buying nike 8 yrs ago. It's a woke organization. Nike has a history of under paying athletes for years. When Federer ended his contract with Nike in 2019, he went over to a Japanese firm Uniqlo and got pay 3 times more than what he got from Nike.

Adidas is making a killing with Caitlin Clark Jerseys. If Nike doesn't release a Caitlin Clark signature shoe, I'm sure Addidas could come up with something. With Indiana out of the playoffs Ticket sales and ratings are tanking big time. If Nike isn't careful the lack of Caitlin Clark shoes may backfire, especially if the Wilson and Taurasi shoes don't do well.

It seems if you want to ride the Nike bus you need to be or follow some kind of Weirdo or Outlier. Frankly I’m a bit tiered of watching the oddballs brought to the forefront by woke companies like Nike while the bread and butter players like Caitlin in this example take a back seat to the freaks and those who go against the grain. No more for me. I like normal. I like and am enthusiastic about young players who bring pure talent and normalcy to a sport and I don’t care what color skin the good Lord wrapped them in. Caitlin came out of school, went to work for the WNBA and attempted to remain loyal to Nike who had supported and backed her in college. The WNBA, its management and a bizarre subset of its players treated this young 22 year old prodigy like she was some kind of pariah AND FOR WHAT, because she was the traditional kind of normal, she is bright, innocent, upbeat and extremely talented. Her chosen employer makes up a totally false narrative about her and the thousands of fans she has introduced to the WNBA. They insult her and begrudgingly award her the ROY honor as they insult her by awarding it over a telephone call with no promotion theatre fanfare of any kind. Her chosen Sporting Goods Company betrays her and stabs her in the back all to carry out some wine woke agenda to support a black player, who while talented and attractive, will never in any point of the remainder of her life even come close to moving the kind of merchandise including shoes that Caitlin could have moved in the course if an average career stretch.
I only pray that justice will prevail and Caitlin will be recognized and elevated to the status she has earned and is entitled to. Unfortunately there are many great players, black, white and otherwise who deserve greater respect and recognition than that funky joke of a league will ever provide them. In the meantime that extremist contingent of the black players has brought violence and shame to themselves and the corrupt league that supports that behavior. The WNBA deserves its obscurity. I only wish Caitlin would pack her bags and run as fast as she can to Europe or some other league that would recognize and treat her as the superstar she is.

I will never understand Nike doing what they are doing, signing A'ja Wilson full of controversy and then signing Diana T, who's retired and promoting them instead of Caitlin Clark, who has been a fan of their brand for years, and is the best ambassador for any company out there, while in college they advertised Caitlin and sponsored her, and that's why she stayed with Nike, she had offers from all the big sports article firms, even better than Nike, but she chose to stay because of her past dealings, it looks like a big mistake being too nice, Nike had the advantage because of their history together, now they have tide her up to a contract that will not pay out for neither, in the NBA they had multiple players wearing signature shoes, earning the company billions of dollars worldwide, so why the difference here, is it they don't want to hurt A'ja 's feelings or Diana 's, hell to that business is business and Caitlin Clark is the best ambassador for your shoes and other products, she is known around the world, even in a small village in Africa, it doesn't make good business sense, then the WNBA exactly the same, everyone else who won a prize where presented with the trophy from Cathy Englebert, but Caitlin gets a call saying she is ROTY, as if it didn't matter, how many times does Caitlin have to turn the other cheek to accommodate for the others and bad management from above, if you take into account everything Caitlin achieved this season, and add up the stats correctly and what she brought in value to the WNBA, Caitlin should have been the MVP as well, there was only one thing A'ja Wilson was better in, and that was her 1000 plus points and that's it, but if you reckon Caitlin's points and her assisted points together, Caitlin has almost 1200 points, and what value did A'ja Wilson bring to the league this year, in TV ratings and attendance ratings, and then articles sold, not a lot, I always thought the title was most VALUABLE player, it seems the WNBA and Nike should think again.

Nike seems very insecure in the WNBA market, and may be in a position that they must prove they are not misogynistic or perhaps racist. No, I’m not talking about forcing female employees in third world countries to take birth control pills so production stays high. That’s just standard protocol for big corps I think. I think they see men’s sports, and in particular BB, as the high profile high profit business. So Nike wants women’s sports to stay small and manageable until the big money can be made. Much like WNBA mgmt, refs, and some coaches.
