    Thanks, was forcing myself to be upright when running and it created nothing but problems. good to know leaning forward a bit is more natural.

    Well, you want good stride, not just turnover, ....you make several good points...the balance is a good idea...balance from the fall-that's good.....but look at -Seb Coe, Steve Prefontaine-total upright runners, no leaning.........more 'quad lifts' for sustained aped...so, not groundbreaking, you can argue either way.......though Matt Centrowitz is more lean and push, and he certainly looks great...lots of turnover

      Chi running works. I am 71yrs old and the minimal impact of Chi running means I will be running , injury free, for many years more.

      The guy runs 50 mile marathons with no injuries like he used to get..probably solid advice

      I no longer get shin splints since I've stopped pushing off with my toes and doing the heel stop. His method does work - no shin splints now in years and I still do half-marathons at 72.
