Just finished running using this technique. It made me finish running my 5km feeling like I could do 5km more with ease. To think about it I ran 5km yesterday and I felt like I was dying. This technique really works, thank you.
I call BS on that. This video is very good, but you cannot improve running form suddenly, from one run to the other, unless you ran the second 5k in at least twice the time. Which would also explain why you felt like you could do another 5k.
@jor-el1298 Before you assume I'm speaking BS, it safer to ask my story. I have been running regularly way before I saw the video and have been improving in my time meaning I was getting fit. The technique explained in the video explained why running was making me feel so tired and straining my joints regularly. After implementing the technique I reduced the joint pains drastically causing me to be less tired. Just attacking someone's views without facts is lame, do better.
@@jor-el1298 easy, buddy! We're all friends here. I’d call myself an intermediate runner. I’ve struggled to run properly the whole time though. My calves or Achilles’ tendon would burn and sometimes my hips would ache. However, after watching this video, I practiced running like this, and it’s much more efficient. No aches, pains, or inflammation. I even ran a lot faster with ease. This video was a lifesaver. I really wanted to thank you. I have not been able to run for a month due to an injury coupled w/ the fact that somehow I feel like I lost my natural running gait (overthinking technique most likely). I was able to run 6 miles yesterday by simply focusing on this foot strike and leaning forward from my ankles. I almost cried from being so happy. Thank you so much

This video a must see for all amateur runners. Using this technique my heart rate is lower, I can feel my glutes and the extension. Thank you Mr. Diaz 🥂.
I literally can’t thank you enough. You saved my running! About a month ago, I finished the couch to 5k and have been running about 3x 5ks a week; however, I have been struggling with shin pain. Nothing major but a little tender, and I just felt like I was heavy on my feet all the time. You hear so much about a mid-foot stricking; I was so focused on not running on my heels and trying to get mid-foot that I didn’t realise I was still probably overstriding. I adopted your technique today, and although I felt a little odd and slow to start with, I soon got used to it. My run felt much better than many of my previous, and you helped me shave four and a half minutes off my 10k record to a sub 60 at 58:57, so thank you so so so so much. Edit: ok, after having a fantastic run, my calves are now killing me. From what I have read so far, this is due to forefoot stricking, which seems to be what this technique is. So now I am stuck again with an injury 😢
This really is a miracle cure for overstriding. Been struggling my whole life to get my cadence above 166, and to land anywhere other than my heel. 5 minutes of this, and I'm bouncing along on my forefoot at up to 190bpm. One problem, though - it seems to cause pain my low hamstrings. Hopefully this will cure itself in time, as I've changed a lot, in a short space of time. Can't recommend this enough.
In running your supposed to be working your hamstrings and glutes so now that your doing the correct form then thats why.I suggest doing strength training so that your lower body gets stronger and your core (since it balances your body while you run)

This helped me find my running form again after stopping for 15 years! Picked up running again a few months ago but was just plodding, this helped increase my speed at the same low effort. Every other video I've tried to watch were overcomplicating it
Absolutely! And if you take your shoes off, you can learn it in 30 seconds :) And yes, it does not matter if you are going 3 mph or 7 mph the technique is exactly the same, just the foot and knee go back longer at higher speeds. The cadence though is always the same, between 178 and 183 or so. My cadence only increases some when I go at faster speeds (8-9 mph); then I may get to 190-200 steps per minute. Great video!
