Finaally... hundreds of 15min videos of running coaches with 5 min of improper running technique, 10 seconds of correct running technique and 10 minutes of freaking zone 2 and heartbeating. Would give this 1 million likes if I could, thank you
Shishhh...this class should be taught in middle school...basic motor skills...would’ve made it easier for lots of kids to get into sports and fitness.
Mour we live in a tyranny. They control the schools. Very sad. Sam Gerrans first video shows how to get rid of the tyranny.
Kids never needed to run prolonged mileage to exercise. They just ran around the yard/court with friends.
This is the type of tutorial that will help athletes run more efficiently. That means energy saved. Less stress on your knees/back/ankles, faster times, etc.
illegal Lemur yeah true but in my school a lot people were lazy and didn't know to run. They used to run like a penguin because they don't know how to run.
Ebrahim Z yeah it’s hard to watch kids with bad running form haha Sad thing is, they never grow out of it unless they actively try to change 🤷🏻♂️
Haha! I’m not sure if you’re joking or not.
No one needs to be taught to run.
Just finished running using this technique. It made me finish running my 5km feeling like I could do 5km more with ease. To think about it I ran 5km yesterday and I felt like I was dying. This technique really works, thank you.
I call BS on that. This video is very good, but you cannot improve running form suddenly, from one run to the other, unless you ran the second 5k in at least twice the time. Which would also explain why you felt like you could do another 5k.
@@jor-el1298good one.
This is is an excellent video. To the point. Concise. Short.
I found that it cuts off. Maybe a bit too short.
I’d call myself an intermediate runner. I’ve struggled to run properly the whole time though. My calves or Achilles’ tendon would burn and sometimes my hips would ache.
However, after watching this video, I practiced running like this, and it’s much more efficient. No aches, pains, or inflammation. I even ran a lot faster with ease.
This video was a lifesaver. Now I can enjoy running without any pain.
Love to hear these stories! Good for you!
for me its my shin that burns. any reason behind this?
I shall try to follow these steps.
@realannoyinglime how long did it take for you to get used to running like this? Thanks
@@sensei6368it could be lactic acid build up. Massage will help greatly but it must be deep and hard from knee to ankle, possibly bring tears to your eyes, it did for me. But will resolve the problem 🙂
For me, this was the single best piece of advice for preventing knee pain. As I get more tired, this still allows me slow down without going too heavy on the knees. If I feel good, the transition between times makes so much sense. I wish I had known this 30 years ago when I was younger. I feel this would have sent me to that next level of running
It also explains how the world class runners looks the same between the beginning and finish. Consistent cadence with stride changes.
I used to run in college and I can honestly say trying to correct a form is difficult. Sometimes injuries arise from this. I have found weight lifting to be the best to correctly incorporate better form.
I think i tried this sometime this past week. It made a huge difference. Very excited. Cadence went up and i ran a really good tempo work out. I am now just playing around with it more.
How did you learn this form? I'm trying hard but can't run like this.
Just Focus on your form each run and try understand goof form from videos like this. And just try make changes slowerly each run. Its a day by day building blocks
@@CaptainBvi Did you have and calf soreness after the run? I also ran really well mimicking this form but now have some calf soreness. Not too bad. Maybe 4/10 soreness
I think i noticed some soreness yes! I am injured currently but love the new form
yes it happens. just stretch out then you good, its like first time training bicep after 2-3 run with this form u won't notice it anymore@@JohnWhite-lj9dq
This short tutorial changed my "running life" forever. Gratitude!
And thanos deleted them before he could finish the video...
I NEED A SCOPE !! They uploaded it when Tony brought them back
We aren't supposed to be enlightened just yet

thanks for the likes guys
Hahahhaha
This is the best, simplest one on RUclips even though it's not completed. Thanks.
BEST GUIDE ON RUNNING EVER. I had so much trouble with this always, I'm 35. Give this man a medal.
Best and most explanatory tutorial on RUclips. Thank you sir!
This is already better then that other dude you were trying to teach.
Yeah that muscly dude was annoying.
Its amazing that after 38 years of life I am finally learning to run properly without knee pain. This video helped a lot. Other videos on you tube made me think i have to focus on kicking my butt or kicking my heel to the sky on each stride.
Awesome!
Sorry running update. I tried your form in april and saw instant results with higher cadence and faster pace. I then got injured and after a few months I started back up again. I tried a different form and well I was really discourage. Struggling around 159 to 163 cadence. Now this last 10 days I went back to your basics in this video. Last few runs have been 165 and 166 cadence. Very smooth. I find myself in the 168 to 170s now! I almost have up. Thank you
I really wanted to thank you. I have not been able to run for a month due to an injury coupled w/ the fact that somehow I feel like I lost my natural running gait (overthinking technique most likely). I was able to run 6 miles yesterday by simply focusing on this foot strike and leaning forward from my ankles. I almost cried from being so happy. Thank you so much
This is great. I tried this technique today and run with a cadence of 165 instead of my normal 150 at easy pace. My knee was a lot better too. Thank you
This is way better than any other videos, clear and straight
So many videos on RUclips. This is the clearest and most concise. Thanks
OMG totally needed this video. Just starting to run and didn't know even where to start. Makes perfect sense. Saved it for reference.
Thank you thank you. At 58 after 3 marathons and a dozen halfs within last 4 years. I am still learning how to run.
This video tutorial single handily improved my running and made it more enjoyable to.
I've probably hit the hundreds of videos about running and form and everything and this is the first one I see explaining this. I always did the heel kicking, I haven't been injured but wow, this knowledge has to be shared
This is a masterpiece! Better than the 90% of videos on RUclips!
I learned alot by this video, thanks
It cuts just when it gets interesting
this deserves my like, too many people making videos with long intros. This got straight to the point and I love it.
This helped me find my running form again after stopping for 15 years! Picked up running again a few months ago but was just plodding, this helped increase my speed at the same low effort. Every other video I've tried to watch were overcomplicating it
Yes, great video. Great sound 👍 thank you.
I've just found this video. OMG!!! It helped me a lot❤❤❤ should have found this years ago, but I'm glad I'm here at least.... I had such painful running sessions..almost gave up running... tried this technique yesterday and feeling like a new person. Thank you so much for sharing❤❤❤
This was an excellent explanation and demonstration. Thank you.
Amazingly clear and helpful!
i think thats the first video ever that made sense for me running and im running for years. thanks
i have to say this video was extremely needed for me, I always used to stomp while running, this is great.
Wow. This is the best running video that Ive ever watched. Ive been doing it all wrong
I literally can’t thank you enough. You saved my running! About a month ago, I finished the couch to 5k and have been running about 3x 5ks a week; however, I have been struggling with shin pain. Nothing major but a little tender, and I just felt like I was heavy on my feet all the time. You hear so much about a mid-foot stricking; I was so focused on not running on my heels and trying to get mid-foot that I didn’t realise I was still probably overstriding. I adopted your technique today, and although I felt a little odd and slow to start with, I soon got used to it. My run felt much better than many of my previous, and you helped me shave four and a half minutes off my 10k record to a sub 60 at 58:57, so thank you so so so so much.
Edit: ok, after having a fantastic run, my calves are now killing me. From what I have read so far, this is due to forefoot stricking, which seems to be what this technique is. So now I am stuck again with an injury 😢
Best advice I've seen so far. ,👌👍
Great points! Will definitely incorporate this!
Incredible system to develop this skill. Great stuff, thanks.
Where's the rest of the video??? Im certainly incorporating this
i really enjoyed how simple this was
Perfect tips, thanks a lot for them!
This is super helpful. I love the obvious visual example of each step, working up to a run
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much. I have been looking for this kind of video.
Perfect video! Thanks for that!
Awesome video. Short, sweet, and simple. Very easy to understand
Awesome video. Short, sweet, and simple. Very easy to underst
Really good for me to work on during my easy runs on my treadmill. Thanks for this
Thank you, this is the best explanation for correct running.
Angela Burrowes glad it helped.
Excellent video. To the point and educational.
Didn't even know there was a correct form of running... Cool.
Thats dumb lmao
Stfu
There is no correct running form. It's a marketing tool.
@@britishrocklovingyank3491 you can't be this incompetent wtf is wrong with you
@@britishrocklovingyank3491 no running form are you fuckin kidding me ?
Enough skinny jokes! This young man is a World Champion obstacle course athlete and has zero trouble running with a 75lb sandbag on his shoulder or flipping a 40lb Yokohama truck tire. Scary string for his weight.
40lb tire lol did you mean 400
sadly, in a world obsessed with unification of perfection, body-builders physique is winning. I think VeeJay is amazing, I wish I could run that good.
That damn 40 lb tire gets me every time
@@Sawizzard body building muscles are useless to be honest. They make you heavy, dull and slow. At some point, it's practical but when it passes that point it's just to show off.
@@hankyulbak438 I couldn't agree more.
This really is a miracle cure for overstriding. Been struggling my whole life to get my cadence above 166, and to land anywhere other than my heel. 5 minutes of this, and I'm bouncing along on my forefoot at up to 190bpm. One problem, though - it seems to cause pain my low hamstrings. Hopefully this will cure itself in time, as I've changed a lot, in a short space of time. Can't recommend this enough.
In running your supposed to be working your hamstrings and glutes so now that your doing the correct form then thats why.I suggest doing strength training so that your lower body gets stronger and your core (since it balances your body while you run)
Excellent. Thank you so much! 🙌
Amazing stuff, thank you!!
I base my running form on Phoebe from Friends.
best comment ever! haha
Best bit of advice I’ve had in ages. Thank you for this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Incrível como algo "simples" é tão efetivo e quase ninguém percebe. Eu realmente aprendi a correr quando encontrei esse seu vídeo. Obrigado!@@diazhp
Thank you so much! This is what I'm looking for.
Tomorrow I have to try this! Thank you❤
inspired a lot. thanks
Such a great video!
bro after following strictly his tips, i feel no pain on a 5km run. Such a lifesaver for me
Thanks coach we’ll be working on it
😲😲It was a mesmerizing run..
This was very helpful thank you
THANK YOU 🙏
RUclips recommending solid stuff - the way he runs is in solid form
Amazing!! Thank u coach!
hes gonna...
excellent explanation !
Thanks for sharing! Never new this! Definitely never kicked my heels up so at least I get one point for that lol.
Bro lol I needed this. I've put weightlifting aside and prioritised running because that's one of my weaknesses! I'm going to incorporate this. I've noticed that I have done this at times while running and wondered why it felt good/comfortable - and doing this technique would be why. I'm going to do this more often. Thanks bro. Subscribed.
Best of luck!
Now this is great!! I'm glad to see this! Interesting..
Thanks as someone who's just getting into running this was really enlightening 👍👍
Glad to help
Wow omg thank u I watched a lot of videos and this is the first one that made freaking sense
Great tutorial thanx man
Very good video I appreciate the effort.
Best video on RUclips.. Cheers

GOOd JOB!!!Thank you sir!
Thank you ❤️ that was soo simple 👍 . Now I can get relief of this terrible shinpain 🙏🏼
Love you ❤️❤️
Did you cured shin pain
very good example. thank you
Thank u for this video!
Great video
Need more vids like this plz!
Fabulous video!
Where’s the rest of the video? This was done really well and to the point, would love to learn some more from these two guys
Yes, I see my running improvements.. thanks for sharing
This is really making a difference for me. Thanks, coach.
Love this
Thank you sir.
This was incredibly useful. Thank you, mind-reading RUclips algorithms!
Gotta try this. Other vids (by other "experts") out there that are explicitly telling you to scrape contact across ground, the butt kick thing, etc. It's funny how many diff ways there are to irritate the hamstring. One is overstriding. This scrape thing is another. Maybe this finally gets me in the zip code of 180 without hurting myself.
Thanks, great video. Can you do something similar for walking slow progressing to fast? I notice there does not appear to be a heel strike?
I was looking for concrete approaches for many years. Most amateurs mainly have an inefficient form but it so hard to improve it.
Awesome video 👌
Please upload the rest of this!
There is an hour long paid tutorial available on my website if you want precise details… diazhumanperformance.com
is there a full video?
Interesting tips !!
Thank you
