As a long while watcher of your channel(s), I have to say one thing. As much as I love your videos, I really prefer the tone of "non-cinema" voice of yours! Just... the casuality of the stream videos is what makes it so nice to listen to. Kind of the reason on why Stories of Dota doesn't click as much with me, but that is okay on a documentary channel like this. In here it doesn't really fit the screen but maybe you want this channel to be a recommendation gallery?
Having the real-time gameplay videos (that aren’t Dota) from Baumi is such a treat! You seem to come into these videos very prepared with all your thoughts scripted out. While enjoyable, I would kill for some real-time blind reactions and first playthroughs where we learn together rather than being talked at. Watching you have a light-bulb moment is much more enjoyable than “I know this is good let’s use it again”
Hey Baumi! Loving the vídeos in The new channel! Always liked when you did non dota related content, like the dark souls, heartstone or monsterhunter vídeos, so this channel is a treat! Thanks for the nice content, as always!
Wait, Baumi’s heard of Noita? I was going to recommend he plays it… I hope he’s played Noita too, because there’s so many intricate and unique gameplay mechanics in it. Really hope I see a video of it here one day
Really great game I ended up buying this game after I watched this video and already played it a lot I'm excited for more videos from Magicraft or other games later As for the last thing I think this videos can be better by adding the webcam if you are fine with it
RougeLike is reset per run while RougeLight has upgrades between each run that are permanent (that was the distinction argument that you mentioned.) but companies have decided to use RougeLike for both so a lot of games aren't categorized correctly.
Not sure if it changed in the new patch but one of the strongest ways to use the Mana Drain epic was to give it to a Self-aware Grimoire since the only limitation on cast speed was mana regen, so it would act like a gattling gun that speeds up as it fires.
The spell slots on the wand and the Rogue-like nature of this game reminds me of Noita, albeit the spellcrafting in that game (and everything else) is slightly more insane than usual.
Long term lurker here, I like the video but it seems like the commentary is recorded post gameplay which I’m not opposed to but something about commentary seems awkward or forced. Maybe it was trying to make it seem as if you are commenting live, unless I’m completely on wrong track here or it’s just me and my current mood. Like the last bit of commentary and stream clip was good A wise man once said when critiquing to also include positive. I really liked how you showed off the different spells of the game and I found the positivity towards the game more enjoyable then the previous video where your thoughts were mainly negative. Very excited for this new channel and your insights into games as someone with game design knowledge
Pretty nice game, I've never would met this game without you, I'm not particulary good at searching for videogames. Would you consider recommending ps5 videogames aswell?
While there are 'religious' rogue-like defenitionist with 'turnbased, tilebased, no-metaprogression, perma-death, seeded procedural generation dungeon crawler'. I believe the major difference with rogue-like and rogue-lite is the modern way of adding meta progression. Rogue like's tend to take pride in the fact that you can start a game and regardless of how much you have previously played still experience everything seasoned veteran can. Only your mastery over game's systems matters with rogue-likes, not time spent grinding the meta progression.
Why do you not break the barrels? It bothers me that you don't for some reason especially after seeing coins come out of them and you talking about how important the coins are. I know it's not important and the whole point is to show off the game in general as a recommendation but it just feels weird to me because of the value you're missing...

I love the customizable spell crafting, that part itself already provides a lot of built-in potential challenges and replayability.
One thing I saw in another game and this one maybe need, is a "effects transparency setting". Or something like that for those crazy visual builds
Eyyy baumi you trued the game i recommended ❤
Much love❤❤
