I'm pretty proficient with PyFA already but it's nice to watch someone else that knows what they're doing use it since they might know a few shortcuts etc. to smooth out the usage flow. With that said you may already know (but didn't use in the video) that you can just press "ctrl + v" to import a fit from the clipboard without digging through the menu and that you can use the "Variations" to change a module to another version without going to the market group, unequipping, and equipping the new one. Hopefully helpful and I definitely appreciate some learning focused content in addition to the great pvp stuff.
You can also change the skills related to the module by right clicking in it and also change the ship related skills by right coming in the white space. Makes it easier than going through the menu. Also, you can compare modules using the compare tab when viewing module stats
Hey o/ Nice to see you up&running. Gonna resub late september with some neutral 80kk toon, hope you're not gonna disband until then, hehe. Can't believe there are still people not familiar with external fitting tools btw.
I was pretty lost when I first started using pyfa and now, after one viewing I feel like I know what I'm doing. Thank you very much for making this.video.
That's a great question man, I don't have a good answer for you. I feel like I spend some time explaining PYFA to new players a lot, which gave me the idea for this, but globally how is EVE doing for new players? Not sure.
@@LaskerEmanuelEVE i haven't logged in to eve for at least 6 months now, still am explaining eve and pyfa stuff on a weekly base XD the whole having to learn from other people thing is a big part of what makes the eve community such a epic community^^
I thought about making the fit I was working on in the video be a dread, opted to go with a frigate for simplicity and relate-ability(I suspect most of the people would fly a dread solo would be familiar with PYFA, although perhaps not).
Also you can't simulate drugs, implants, effects on you (like simulating neuts, TDs, etc) with the ingame tool. It's just 1000x faster and more detailed.
Because PYFA is so much better for seeing stats, having multiple fits open, applying implants/ drugs, the search functionality alone is worth using it. IE if you needed to find an Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II, in PYFA you could just type "en ad ii" and it will filter right down to it.

Great video was kind of expecting some pvp video after some drop in posting but I like all your videos and still give support ❤
I will see what I can do to put some interesting PvP content together, I have a lot of half finished stuff.

Woah. First time I heard laskers voice.
Very helpful especially explaining the comparison tools and graphs. Thank you.
My pleasure man!

I've been using pyfa for a while, but still learned a few things...great video

I am so glad I was able to help!
Man thanks for the video. Precisely what i'm looking for
Time to give Pyfa another go. Thanks for the demonstration.
Glad it was helpful, if you have questions, feel free to ask.
12 million dollar implant! :D
Like the vid Lask, great to hear you narrating again!
Twelve. Million. Dollars. *Dr. Evil Pinkie*
Loving this, thx for the explanation
Very glad you liked it, thank you for taking the time to comment!
Enjoy theory crafting ships when waiting for fleets etc.
Will prob be linking this video to a lot of newbro's ty Lasker.
I also kill time fooling around with fits. I have not played more PYFA than EVE, but I have spent a lot of time in PYFA.
Cool , thank u!) I hear a lot about Pyfa but never use it. Maybe thats a time to find something new and more effective than ingame fiting =)
Can pyfa simulate effects of target painters and it's falloff/optimal range?
are there so many new people that we need this? (not judging you! just judging if i should resub)
I'm 100% sure you should re subscribe he's helping new guys out and has been providing very fun pvp content
I've been playing eve since 2006 and I didn't know you could open the market group from the module right click
@@StaticV
R-click all the things!
This isn't just in Eve.
Such as the Windows button. Do it.

this is great, than you
Totally wish I had your income and even half your skill
Wait what? Lasker making a video not in a dread PVP fight? ok then.....

my character eve SSO sign on is blacked out wtfs up with that?
Why not just use the ghost fitting tool?
If I had to guess. It's bcuz u don't have to install the client at all. Work PC/can't run it.

@@bongalonga4216 in fact, you can just type "eanm". See full list of jargon here: github.com/pyfa-org/Pyfa/blob/master/service/jargon/defaults.yaml
i can see how a new player could understand what you are saying lol
Well that's the dream anyway, EVE is a pretty complex game :)
