    Thanks a lot! Never understood those timers enough, but now at least will have a reference to come back to.

    Hey great video. I think you should make more. Probably look into some stuff regarding SEO so your videos can get more views. Honest clickbait thumbnails are a lot more effective than images of gameplay footage since people will assume the latter is just a 'letsplay' and not a tutorial.

      Fair enough, thank you!!!
      I genuinely wish I had enough time to make frequent videos!
      I will try though cuz I love doing it.

    One thing I never got was why things like bastions, industrial cores, etc trigger the weapon timer, your not being aggressive to anyone!

    • @Academiac
      @Academiac  21 день назад

      It's to prevent things like station games and other ways to abuse these modules. Here's a good thread discussing it: forums.eveonline.com/t/bastion-module-weapons-timer/84677/4

    log off timer: If you are shot at you cannot enter the choppa for 5 minutes.
    weapons timer: If you returned fire, you cannot enter your foxhole for 1 minute.
    Limited engagement timer: If a tango shoots at you, only you can shoot him, the rest of your squad has to sit back and twirl their thumbs, otherwise they get carpetbombed.
    suspect timer: You shot at a random persons house and now anyone, including your squadmates can shoot you without being courtmartialled.
    criminal timer: If you napalm a neutral, the cops will shoot and kill you as soon as you step off the boat home.
    Inherent timers: Medics bandaging people become guilty of everything that person has done for the past 5 minutes.

    How will I loot during AIR MISSIONS without switching to PARTIAL?
    Why am I getting a warning after doing AIR Combat missions??
    I was doing combat anomalies mission at high sec. While shooting at the Gueristas, a cloaked player in a Drake ship right behind them suddenly started shooting at me. Before I can scram, I was toasted (I was in a Kestrel with a fit just for PVE). I think it only took 3--4 shots before I got obliterated. He obviously ganked me coz I realized Im sure he knew I brought a lotta stuff in my ship. How will I know if that player got punished for it?

    • @Academiac
      @Academiac  21 день назад

      I'm not sure about the AIR missions thing because I haven't dabbled in them.
      You can check whether the ganker was punished by getting their name from your kill mail and looking for their kill mail on tools like zKillboard.
      A Drake is a Battlecruiser and is relatively expensive, not worth losing one for ganking a Kestrel. So odds are you had a suspect timer.

      Yeah, was thinking I've flown around hisec 1.0 systems with -1.0 ish sec with no problems. You would have thought EVE Uni would get it right......I guess the preamble about even vets getting things wrong is correct.

    Shame you aren't still in Uphallant, used to enjoy the fights even though you weren't allowed to engage unless two specific ewar ships per enemy vessel, but was still fun, Your nullsec guys are beyond ace though, top lot.

    • @Academiac
      @Academiac  2 года назад +2

      That they are! The Uni really changed and evolved, we don't, necessarily lol, do that anymore unless we have newbies who can't fly anything else.
      But hey, we're not too far! We now live 2 jumps from Uphallant in Stacmon, and we love low and null pew pew 👍

    Pretty sure neither New Eden nor Anoikis are galaxies.

    • @Academiac
      @Academiac  9 месяцев назад

      I stand corrected, thank you!
      Lore: "New Eden is the name for the star cluster which is inhabited by the human race. The term is colloquial in nature, as the name is alternately applied to every star system in the galactic neighborhood, only those that have been explored and cataloged by humans, or solely those which are currently connected by working stargate networks. In common usage, the last definition is most frequently meant, and is the definition used in this article."
