I’ve been in the game for a short time and what I have learned is the parents make it worse standing over them with the constant question are you okay. To me the children act better when their parents are not around.
Queen I am a seasoned stylist after 45 years. I had many if those heads and we didn’t have all these products and flat irons. We had to detangle that hair and press it😮. You did a great job of patience and professionalism. ❤️❤️❤️
My 80 year old mother at the time, asked me where did I get that good hair from. I laughed. I couldn't do much but laugh because I was natural and had been natural about two years. I hadn't been natural since I was about 8/9 years old and at that time was 40. My mom gained her wings the next year. For 8/9 years of my life my mother had a contentious relationship with my hair because she couldn't manage it, and therefore as a result it imprinted on me that my hair could only be managed via relaxers. If I had been introduced to a different hand, I probably would have never spent so many decades going from one processing/relaxing to another. The truth is that my hair was never "bad" it just was a different texture than my siblings and not all hair of course is the same. I have about three textures. But I manage them all. Praise God who gave me hair that could go through a lot for nearly 30 years before I came back "home" and embraced my natural hair. But I honestly hope that all persons (specifically mothers) who handle other people hair, much like pro dressers, learn that not all hair is the same texture/type/density. It's not a one size fits all styling process.
The parents are so ROUGH while combing their kids' hair. If you're gonna do everything in your power to make sure you're not being harsh while combing your OWN hair, then you have to do the same when it comes to your kids. I've WITNESSED kids crying & SCREAMING when their moms were doing their hair, and I'm watching them be EXTREMELY ROUGH while doing it.
My mom didn’t know that you were supposed to start from the end and work your way to the top. She would comb roots to ends yanking & ripping. I think she even did it when My hair was dry once.
That CUTE FACE THO!!!

DEFINITELY 😍
The parent is main culprit as to why the children are tender headed
She just so adorable

So beautiful 😍
Thank you 💜
When I was a kid and had my hair done, those stylists would rip through my hair and scold me if I flinched. Wish I had someone like you do my hair
😍😍
