And just for the record Marcus Fenix recieved his Embry Star for jumping into an enemy vehicle and using the cannon to take out the UIR antiaircraft vehicles and a helicopter that was shooting at Dom And Colonel Hoffman over the ocean. Anya Stroud recieved her mom's Embry Star which was earned when Helena Stroud jumped on to an enemy tank and dropped 3 grenades inside when she went to jump off the tank her armor webbing got caught on the tank and she died while Anya was in the command center listening. Hoffman also recieved an Embry star during this mission. And if you dont know already the battle of Aspho fields was to take the hammer of dawn from the UIR so the COG could deploy it first and win the war. Marcus buried his in Carlos's grave. Carlos's medal was given to his parents who died along with Dom's kids. Dom traded his for legal help trying to get Marcus out of the slab. Hoffman gave his to Bai Tak's widow (because paisang troops were not eligible for the medal) and Anya kept hers and put it away so no one could look at it. If you want to know more lore the books are great reads and give you a better picture of the Gears universe.
I know, right? It's a testament to the writing. No matter if a character had a small role, their death was usually memorable. It's all the more tragic seeing the young ones like Ben go.
It’s nothing like gears 4.... strangely, I prefer gears 4 campaign. Gears 5 was very easy and didn’t have many epic battles. It definitely had the least amount of action. And the driving around the desert was just pointless and not needed in my opinion. I don’t want Gears to be open world.
Leo Enduro the berserker was way too easy. Just shoot some ice. And the final boss fight... I didn’t even know it was the final boss fight. It didn’t feel like one. I expected more. In gears 4 there were several big battles where you had to defend a spot, regroup and get attacked again. Big bad enemies coming at you over and over. And it was rough. There didn’t feel like much of this in gears 5. I barely died on my first play through. The bit where you had to lay the beacon was like that, and that was great, but that was about it. I don’t remember any other part of the game that felt like that. Gears 5 really didn’t have many big battles at all.

I'm probably stating the obvious here, but still. Raam's job was to kill the leader of every squad he came across. He killed Minh. I know was the leader of the squad Marcus was in, but I beg to argue that Raam killing Marcus, Dom, or Cole would've worked out much better for the Locust.
Kim was a follower. By the book. RAAM made a mistake in killing him instead of Marcus, and for it, he payed, the Locust paid, and eventually, even the queen.
This was missing my favorite one, which was one of the posters in the theater was a replica of Hamilton, An American Musical. This was called "Embry: A Cog Musical" and even had the character as the top-most point in the star, just like the Hamilton poster.

There is a reference to Halvo Bay from Gears of War: Judgement in a converstion on the skiff a few times in the desert area and if you pick up the Markza in front of Paduk, he mentions that you have great taste in weapons as he says in the Beginning of Gears Judgment he says "This isn't a gun! It's a comrade." when you first see the Markza on the Campaign.
You know I had a feeling that there would be something for Ben and Minh but I never found those collectibles so I'm glad I was right. Somehow I didn't expect one for Anthony.

ANOTHER Easter egg is the Posters for the musical that’s playing. The guy standing with one hand in the air is a reference to the poster for Hamilton the musical. The stage even spins during the mini-boss fight. Like the confrontation scenes in Hamilton the Musical on Broadway.
Isn't the Letter collectible you find by the Centaur Tank in Act 2 a Easter Egg reference to the Gears novels as Cole Train would write letters to his Dead parents.
The piano easter egg in act IV also gives you 2 boomshots and there is another piano where marcus plants the. Beacon. Look in the display case in the previous room after playing the piano and playing the other piano gives you 2 exposive ammo pickups in a display case
Small mistake with the memorial wall, you dont need to collect all 90 collectables you just need to get the collectables of characters from the previous games

@@brandonscott5512 They were all rookies but yeah Ben is the most lovable because of how young and bold he was, he tried his hardest to become what Clay is now but knowing that all that pain from his death is not just inflicted towards Clay but to us also and now that Lizzie is gone, a Carmine we knew her shorter than Anthony, that had a large impact towards Carmine fans and to think how Clayton has been through not just his brothers but now his niece. I can feel how Clay is. I play him every gears game knowing that every Grub, Lambent or Swarm I kill it's towards his vengeance for his Family.
There’s a great Easter egg in act I chapter 4. Right before you go in a room where a bunch of Rejects chase you around (when you enter the room JD says, “What the hell is this?”), there are balloons on the right. Shoot them and one will make a funny sound. I discovered this with my friend

Bens was a very sad death you kinda hot to liking him Anthony's was short so there wasnt a huge connection to him
@@brandonscott5512 I know Anthony's was short and was a quick death but it was a surprise to see it happen so quickly then you realize he was someones brother to feel connected to family member is enough to be connected to all of them.
@@sirchalky7952 true it was a sting to see Anthony's and a couple references of his death in GOW2 but Bens still hit the hardest he was a rookie who just wanted to help do his part in the war and delta and his family proud
@@brandonscott5512 They were all rookies but yeah Ben is the most lovable because of how young and bold he was, he tried his hardest to become what Clay is now but knowing that all that pain from his death is not just inflicted towards Clay but to us also and now that Lizzie is gone, a Carmine we knew her shorter than Anthony, that had a large impact towards Carmine fans and to think how Clayton has been through not just his brothers but now his niece. I can feel how Clay is. I play him every gears game knowing that every Grub, Lambent or Swarm I kill it's towards his vengeance for his Family.

There’s a great Easter egg in act I chapter 4. Right before you go in a room where a bunch of Rejects chase you around (when you enter the room JD says, “What the hell is this?”), there are balloons on the right. Shoot them and one will make a funny sound. I discovered this with my friend
