Underrated video, I hate that GOW is lost in time bc it is genuinely a good game series but it’s good to see people still care and props for doing this challenge man
Because gears 4 and 5 are just bad. I am actually glad they scrapped Gears 6 and are making a prequel instead. I am slightly optimistic this time

@@levelzer0du54 It was literally scrapped. People have the memory of a goldfish these days. A couple of years ago they switched from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5. This isn't a small thing. That is throwing 80% of your work into the trash.
When they made the switch they threw out gears 6, thank god, due to fan reception. Nobody likes those games. They used the engine switch to start over and do E day instead. Best decision they could make. Nobody wants this regarded Kate story to continue.

@@levelzer0du54 What are you talking about. The coalition LITERALLY confirmed they switched to UE5 when gears 6 was already in development. Again this isn't a simple switch. That is a massive loss in your work you have already done.
They basically lost the entirety of Gears 6 during this engine switch. That is how game development works. You cannot just flip a switch and call it a day. Because nobody likes Gears 4 and 5 and it is not as successful as the original trilogy it only makes sense they did not resume the work on Gears 6.
Your brain isn't that functional isn't it? They worked for years on Gears 6 and had to scrap the majority of their work. Again this is what you are forced to do. It's just how this works. They didn't pick up Gears 6 again, because it's garbage anyway and rather made the E day prequel.
Those are logical conclusions from stuff we know for a fact happened. There is no way they picked up two games again after the UE5 switch. That just is not realistic. Gears 6 is on hiatus for the unforeseeable future and most likely never gets made. Which again is a very good thing.

I liked the idea of Inconceivable, both enemies and you take more damage, have less health, reload timings are different AND ammo drops are reduced.
Definitely an intense experience, especially when you play the other Gears games on Insane for fun.
But all mutators? I can feel my brain bleeding already, major props to you man!
Incon enemies taking less damage is easier. Insane is harder than inconceivable due to you still dying in the same amount of hits generally. More hp is harder. Hp is a mechanic.
@@XJ9LoL you could argue that, or you could just say that higher HP doesn't require more skill as a player, just more patience.
HP isn't a mechanic, it's a value. Now if enemies altered their behaviors at lower HP then it could be used as a mechanic to manipulate their AI into doing certain things, but sadly Gears doesn't have that.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I swear Inconceivable has the "upside" of having the enemies actually take more damage, as well as you. I remember the higher difficulties would obviously make you weaker the harder it is, but I thought I always remembered the HIGHEST difficulty made it so that just everyone in general was much easier to die, including enemies, I thought that was cool.
I'd watch more challenge videos for sure!

Haven't kept up with Gears at all since 3, but I figured I'd watch this since it came up in my recommended. Fucking baller stuff, dude. The enemy/mechanic explanations help a lot for someone who's been out of the Gears loop for over 10 years.

It’s kinda interesting because the shots on you are close to realistic how long you would go down and be killed. But every enemy is a bullet trap. Be cool if they had a cod ‘hardcore’ style where everyone is excellent using cover and a few bullets are all it takes

As for this challenge, I vaguely remember complaining that there's no NG+ mode for it, so no mutators are available 🙃

BUT when i reached the Lancer LG part the game bugged and jack wasnt with me anymore, fazh couldnt use weapon. It was horrible, planning on doing it again tho

Back in GOW 3 ur down allies could die and end the mission. They didn’t add this to GOW 5 or was it just disabled to make it playable?

Any tips for ironman experienced for the achievement?
Get familiar with the hard parts and be patient. A lot of the route for this can probably transfer over as is for an easy way to do that. You can watch the full VOD in the description

@@Flurby I took your advice but a little more different. Before I continued with ironman, I used a different save and played the next part a couple times before trying it on ironman
I was playing through all the games on insane and at first I thought judgement was the hardest cuz of the challenges but nah bro 5 was the most hair pulling miserable fuckin experience in my life, like I'll play all the other ones on insane for fun except for 5 , It's most definitely ten times worse for you but I understand the pain you were going through in the video lmfao either way great vid I'll make sure to give this a try one day

I want to add for stealth or cloak use ability times against drones, instead of pressing B for executions just press X to grab them then switch weapons to drop instantly. Its way faster and would have allowed you to get an extra kill during the time without risking a melee attack ruining the cloak
Unfortunately, meatshielding an enemy breaks the Cloak immediately and would ruin our chances at getting multiple kills safely with a single cooldown.

I'm not sure if that's accurate or relevant for campaign, but in multiplayer the Overkill was always SO MUCH more powerful and precise even at some range if you spaced out pulling and releasing the trigger just a little bit.
For some reason nobody ever understood or did that tho.
As much as I hate gears 4 and 5 this is a very well put together video. Wasn't expecting this. Good job. Like seriously this should absolutely hit the algorithm
