I believe that cartesias art depicts the Moment albaz fusioning their souls to santefire and she remembers who she really is. She embraces albaz while the saints of dogmatika (hands) might try to hold her back, or push her forward.

Something interesting to note is that the right wing (our left) the top part has the horn/claw of bystial dis pater and the rest of the wing is Despian Quaritis-like (where at this part in the story it should be granguignol as quaritis morphs into grannguignol). The left wing I have no clue, but it mostly looks like a wing you’d see in alba zoa or dis pater. The visor in his eye is exactly what gran guignol had. The skulls he had for his shoulder doesn’t strike any resemblance to me immediately, but it looks like it might evoke the imagery of alba los. Also let’s not forget Aluber has cartesia’s crystal from bystial Aluber. What I’m getting at here is Aluber is gaining the power of ALL of the bosses from the final fight. My theory is that the alternate art cartesia is a creation by Aluber could be creating his own version of cartesia (bro wanted to be like albaz and get a gf)

Aluber's art essentially takes elements from Cartesia's forms: The mask is half of Granguignol's face, the Left Wing is Quaretis', the Right Wing is based on Cartesia's hair since you see the darkened ends, he's wearing Cartesia's gloves (coincidentally the one's missing on her artwork), Cartesia also has a chain at the end of her sword. My theory, he takes the power from what's left after Luluwalilith becomes Quem.
Isnt Quem White Exile from the Dogmatika. I vividly remembered reading from somewhere that Cartesia is Quem and Ecclesia combined, and when Albaz managed to pull Ecclesia out of Cartesia, what left became Quem. Luliwalilith is just Fluer revived in her Dogmatika armor to strike down Dis Pater.
Hmm, kinda went a little too hard with Cartesia there Konami...and that's perfectly okay.

So a few things I noticed:
The three eyed mask on Aluber might be a part of Granguignol's head.
In Branded Banshment Quaeritis' "dragon form" and Granguignol are the same, notice the three eyes, spikes on the shoulder, eyes on the inside wing, arm with claws being red.
The weapon used by Aluber reminds me of the weapon wielded by Simon and Richter Belmont's apparition from Super Smash bros. Ultimate, a steel whip with a cross somewhere (might want to look further, could have a meaning with religion)
The gloves on Aluber are a close match for Catesia's gloves, not a 1 to 1, but something to look for in the future
Tldr, many easter egg for both, and I absolutely love the 4 alts. Too bad we didn't get a Branded Fusion Alt though.

Aluber looking like reincarnated Sukuna rn, probably his form after/during Etude of the Branded
Cartesia looks like she's turning into Sanctifire with the horns. You can see the "hair" forming behind the hands as the hands are reaching out to her. This art to me looks like this is Albaz ripping her out of Granguinol and fusing with her after the art on Light of the Branded. Her arms out like a hug to embrace him probably referencing her pulling him back to his humanity in Branded Bond

I think ecclesia unlocked some remnant power from cartesia and can activate it at will, hence the new artwork. Think about it, she still has her wings on her back in the artwork of her leaving with albaz. Maybe they were attacked by that sprite creature that was standing in the desert. I forgot what the card was called
I believe it's the fallen of argyros? I imagine it will factor into the story whenever new spright support comes out. Considering the implications of its name, likely a version of all the fused sprights from another world

Yes family, that's the one. We didn't get any lore after it appeared. You're right, future spright support might shed some light on what it is, it looked kinda sinister
What this new art suggests is that Aluber cannot maintain his Dragon form due to his damaged Brands (most likely during the the art of Blazing Branded King); so when he channels the Bystial power he has to rely on his Despian abilites which is probably why he looks like Dis Pater instead of Lubellion or Alba Los.
Aluber previously could only mimic a lesser form of Albaz's power until the skirmish at the Sacred Summit and Enion Cradle where he properly stole Albaz's power and later on would go and channel the power of the Bystials using Cartesia. Afterwards he get's his hands on the Red Crystal that was featured in Cartesia's Sword and here it appears he's once again channeling the power of the Bystials, however it appears to be a form of the power corrupted by Alba Zoa who used the Bystial power to become Dis Pater, hence the Despian holes present in the new Sword and the white Dragonic Body parts that look suspiciously like Dis Pater that seems to be infesting Alubers body.
Aluber has goat eyes. The latest card to reference him was "The black goat laughs".
The dragon skulls on Aluber's shoulder has a part of the Dogmatika emblem between them
At first i feel like Cartesia Alt Art is when Cartesia fall on her POV before Albaz reach her in the art of "Light of the Branded" card,but i thought is not after i see her horn on alt art

I think that all alt-Arts are happening after the original storyline ended (which hopefully implies a „season 2“ of the story in the near future)
In the case of Cartesia, I think we have a Yugi/Atem situation here. Cartesias horns look like more elaborate versions of Ecclesias in the new art, implying that she can still channel the spirits of the 666 saints into her an transform into Cartesia even after the original story.
Aluber probably looks like that because he managed not only to get Albaz‘ brand, but also Maximus‘ power remnants after his defeat, as indicated by his now Dogmatika like armor and the fact that he recruited the remnants of the Despia
I think the new aluber alt art is him after albaz split from him before the beginning of the story
And the new cartesia alt art could be eclesia alternate form to be able to fuse with albaz without the need of albaz's power since it was stolen by aluber

While I don't necessarely enjoy Cartesias design in the alt art myself, The horoscope-like backround is absolutely beautiful. I also like the story implications it brings with it. Since the other three are future versions of the characters, I want to believe that this is also a teaser of what is to come for Cartesia in season 2, meaning that she still exist one way or another. It would also explain the vastly different clothes she wears, which wouldn't make much sense when this artwork was taking place during the battle of golgonda.
BUT it does suspicously look like the exact moment of Albaz' and Cartesias/Ecclesias fusion into sanctifire, and her dress starts turning white at the skirt. In the end its's just a theory. Just like all the theories on how to beat Ash Blossom.

I think that Cartesia's alternative art depicts her still after the battle of Golgonda. The look in her eyes is way different from the regular Cartesia, I think that she's Ecclesia who is in control. Maybe she inherited part of the powers of Quem, even though they eventually split. Besides, Ecclesia's alternative art still has Granguignol's wings and her horns are different. She seems to be pretty much in the same location where she was in Last Frontier, so that should be definitely after the battle and clearly she inherited something from Cartesia/Granguignol. Aluber's new form is probably also from after the battle, after he got the seed of miracles from Ad Libitum, perhaps he's using its powers.
Maybe these alt arts are in a alternate reality where Aluber won
He sort of did win. He has the crystal at the end of the current story which seems to be his objective from the start. He lost the battle but won the war in a way?
@@niallocarroll4450aluber just manipulated both sides. Corrupted Dogmatika to challenge Albaz in order to reach his potential, then immediately swooped down to steal that.
After that he experimented how far the real dragonic power can go (his own made a fake Dragon since Masquerade is a fiend and the name also implies it) by making Bystials out of every Albaz fusion. His battle armor is Bystial Lubellion after absorbing Alba Los, his regular form is Bystial Aluber and his combat form is the new art.
With how casually he holds the dragon/fusion power crystal in his Bystial Aluber art and even throwing the mask in Black Goat Laughs, it's easy to assume he succeeded in his goals, validating the token lore text of "mocking the light and deceiving the darkness"
@@babrad he didn't made the Bystials, they're actually the other dragons living in the Abyss, where Alba-Lenatus (aka the original form of Albaz and Aluber) is from. They have restrains in them since Aluber pretty much enslaved them as a power move

You know albaz the ashen? His name could be a reference to the ashened archetype, meaning there may be an connection, right? And the alt art for aluber looks like veidos, so… could there be an connection… it’s either that or im looking way to deep in it…
By the way, I think why the wings on ecclesia are the dusk dragon (im not typing all that) is because technically the dusk dragon is part of ecclesia/cartesia. So it may had left a permanent mark on her body. Therefore…
Ecclesia now has the dragon’s wings because of her alter ego.

Think they are Dragon Horns on Cartesia and I believe she holding her out to Albza to symbols theirs fusions.
I don't think those are horns, rather her veil blown back by the energy emiting from her body. Though, the resemblance is most likely intentional to highlight Cartesia involvement in the summon of Albion The Sanctifire Dragon? Especially that the latter requires a light spellcaster as fusion material and the overwhelming light theme of the artwork.
Galzo, do you think branded needs to incorporate handtraps to stand a chance of winning YCS? I know you won a regional however the new decks post LEDE are getting tough for branded to deal with. Besides gimmick, I think branded needs to incorporate handtraps but I'm afraid it reduces consistency. What do you think?

Huh, so Aluber represents the Nigredo now. I was expecting a third human dragon to fill that role, since Aluber was the Rubedo already and Albaz represented the Albedo. Hoping for more info but it seems that the three phases of alchemy are only two monsters.
I treated everyone art as post lore alt art. Where three is post story and Cartesia to me is still apart of Eccestia.

I think Aluber take the power of Bystial Dis Pater and want also the King of Bystials I also think there is a transformation for Aluber from Fairy Type to Dragon Type Look at all the Aluber Cards we have 1. Aluber the Jester 2. Aluber as Tokken 3. as a Bystial card and finally as Alternate Art as a ultimate Aluber the Bystial Dis Pater Artworke. My Favorit is Aluber 💯

they look great, especially Aluber.
There are a couple of things to note with each of them.
Considering the other 2 alternate arts happen at the end of the story, I think these do as well.
Based on this, I assume Cartesia is residing somewhere within Ecclesia and trying to pull itself back, further proof with Ecclesia now having wings from the dragon. They are still linked, just severed. She is not the same person, as the valuable book states it's all of the souls possessing Ecclesia's body, with the corpses making up the dragon. Horrifying isn't it?
There is a LOT to unpack with Aluber. First off, he seems to have stolen Dis Pater's power, based on the similar look he now has for his armor. His middle red gem is cracked, likely a result from branded expulsion. I also think he took cartesia's sword as well, but I could be wrong. Who knows what he will become with what he’s obtained so far.
