Was so blessed to be there for that night! Such a beautiful night centered around the truth of the gospel. Got to meet some wonderful brothers from Mexico and we also got to hear Bob Kauflin go deep into the story behind the song and some of the theology of the lyrics.
The lyrics themselves are solid theology. I probably should have written that he expounded upon the lyrics in more detail. But yeah, definitely sad seeing how many CCM songs there are that lack substance and truth.
When I heard this song for the first time.... it had a great animation.... it showed how Jesus died for us.... and protects his lambs from the wolves....it has ever since been my most favorite song.... somedays my prayer..... somedays when my faith grows cold its the song that brings me to my knees in tears and repentance... without a shadow a doubt..... the turning point song in my life.....
