Hiking the ARTEMIS NATURE TRAIL in Cyprus

Artemis is an easy 7km circular nature trail which is located within the Troodos National Forest Park.
The route circles around the top of Mount Olympos at an altitude of 1,850 metres, offering a wonderful view in all directions. The trail also passes through the black pine where you will come across two perennial black pine trees that are around 500 years old and are truly special to witness.
We chose to start off the trail early in the afternoon so we could align the nicest parts of the trail with the golden hour. During our hike, we were accompanied with beautiful sounds of nature, birds and pine cones cracking under our feet as we walked.
It was truly magical to witness how the forest changed around us when the sun was down. Hiking during the night was unusual and astonishing, giving us a totally different hiking experience. As this was a circular trail, it took us right back to where we parked our car.
