I find myself often behaving in a detached and independent way in relationships, or at least trying to apply that ideal, but I also get quite insecure when I am with someone who is like that with me. Generally almost everyone I meet treats me with some indifference but the ones that don't end up besotted and clingy and this sort of thing often is like a hot potatoe. There's something about attracting and being attracted to strong personalities whilst also wanting to subsume ones personality into another.
