      Well, fighters do have the option to go to other promotions. Bellator and ONE are happy. The ones losing are the fans at the end of the day, having fighters like Gegard Mousasi, Rory McDonald, Sage Northcutt, Eddie Alverez, Lyoto Machida leave the UFC sucks.

    • @najib9093
      @najib9093 3 года назад +77

      MentalGains The fact that fighters have an alternative on paper doesn’t justify the pay they’re getting, the UFC know that there’s a stigma of fighters joining other promotions and that other promotions hardly pay any better so they exploit them with take it or leave it negotiation tactics. That's what fights are basically. Most fighters look like they're in a car crash for the week afterwards. That's why respect is such a big part of combat sports. Every shot you take, means you can take one less the next time. Fighters leave pieces of them inside the cage. I find it so odd when they're asked "what's next" or told who they want to fight 1 hour after fighting. Let them rest. Take one shin to shin kick, most people will be hobbling for a week.

    Hooker was a changed man after that fight. You could see it when he stepped into the ring with Chandler. He looked drained, almost grey, as if stepping into the ring triggered some trauma. This fight with Dustin was the kind of war that happens when your back is against the wall and sheer will determines who lives and who dies. The fact that Poirier was standing and laughing afterwards just tells you what kind of a maniac that man is. Not so sure about that. It's beginning to pay off for Dustin especially with the second and third Conor fight.
      I believe the UFC Is doing the most they can to reward him for taking Conor instead of thumbing his nose. Because I don't know if you know this or not. But Dustin is the champion right now.
      I know Olivera has the belt but that title fight with him and Chandler was a contrived fight. They made that fight just so that there can be a champion that didn't face Khabib and lose. And neither Chandler or Olivera fought Khabib.
      It worked out also because Dustin wanted the money.
      He called the belt " Fools gold ".. he knows he's the real champion. He beat everyone buy Khabib.

    The fight was super awesome, both should get a golden medal for their performance, and a blank check... I want to see more of such behind the scenes footage.

      I thought Felder won that fight...was pissed when Hooker got the decision. Felder hit him with some HARD shots to the head. Hooker is a savage....gotta respect him for his heart and toughness. Very few people would have made it all 5 rounds taking the shots he took from Poirier.

    A lot of us see these amazing fights and when it’s over we talk about it, cheer about it, be upset our guy lost or whatever. But one thing we never see is that dark place. That place those fighters go to after they leave that arena and in that hospital or back of that ambulance. The pain they feel of their injuries hitting them. Probably them contemplating if it’s all worth fighting for. Extremely good video and really made me see a different eye to the UFC.
