That uppercut by Justin when he got the knockdown followed by the hammerfist was so brutal. Chandlers whole head smacked the canvas and he was still in the fight after that, these guys are so insanely tough.

That’s my favourite upper cut of all time (which is a weird thing to say, but it is what it is). It’s the way Chandler freezes for a second, it’s just kind of crazy. Gaethje’s setup right before he threw it was awesome too.
You can teach technique, you can train cardio, but these dudes have a dog in them that just comes from within. So frickin tough.

11:06 mad respect to Chandler for recognizing that Justin didn’t get any time to recover from the eye poke, so when the ref started it back up, chandler just acknowledged that Justin didn’t get time to recover & then he just stood there far away from Justin. He could’ve engaged with him there, but decided not to because he knew it wouldn’t be very fair. I like Chandler, he always makes for an entertaining fight.

One of the best things you could watch ever. Two men who dedicated their lives to fighting, both with similar atributes and an outstanding drive, just skillfuly battering each other with no regard for their health, no wrestling, no sneaky strategies or other leverages to win the fight, instead wanting to prove to themselves they're tougher than the other, throwing their hardest punch each time despite it potentially gassing them out and putting them in a vulnerable position. You don't see it everyday, this is peak fighting to me. Mad respect

Everyone doubted Gaethje’s wrestling abilities after the Khabib fight. That Granby roll and back door escape was an awesome display of high level wrestling. Imagine if he actually used wrestling offensively like Chandler, he could be a whole new breed of fighter

There is no question. This is in the top five UFC fights of all time. Maybe MMA altogether.
This was a match made in heaven and it couldn't have gone any better. It didn't even matter who won this fight, all the fans won that night.
Facts bro. I come back and watch this fight at least once every couple of weeks. It just reminds me why I love this sport. I love grappling and ground game but it’s fights like these that bring mainstream attention to the sport. Not to mention, they are so much fun to watch. Respect to both men.

Чендлер просто красава. Перешел в ЮФС уже в возрасте, когда многие наоборот переходят в слабые промоушены и опускают уровень оппозиции. Перейдя, не начал ныть о титульнике и т.д. а сразу согласился страховать бой Хабиба и Гейджи. После, не тянув время принял бой с кем предложили и аннигилировал Хукера. Невероятные зарубы с Оливейрой и Гейджи, страшный нокаут Эль Кукуя - каждый бой сверхзрелищный.
Лучший Бой 2021 года, Майкл удивляет, в 2011 была мясорубка с Эдди Альваресом и ровно через 10 лет мясорубка с самим Джастином Гэтжи, подарил два лучших боя в лёгком весе
Как по мне мясорубка Альвареса и Гейчи в 2017 не хуже будет

Chandler has been badass since Bellator!! Not sure why he wasn't noticed as much before UFC. I watched him before UFC and he was hard to forget! But Justin is the man too!! Amazing stand up fight!!!! And as beat up as Chandler was, he still put a show on for his fans in the end as well! One of my top 5 fights right there.

How this fight ever went the full duration is a miracle in itself but the thing that surprised me the most was Chandlers ability to take so many big shots. Judging by the look of that leg and the damage to his face looking a bit deformed like the elephant man..... the guy must of been in so much pain for about a week after this fight,

You can make a case that Chandler would be undefeated in the UFC (5-0) if he was a more calculated fighter instead of swinging for the fences on every punch. He had Oliveira, Poirier, and Gaethje badly hurt. But decided to put on a show instead of taking his time and looking for the finishing shot.
Justin hits like Trrrruck, he hit him so hard, Chandler went crazy.

Chandler is the type of guy that watches himself in all of his own fights, in slow motion, while also looking at himself in the mirror.
They both ate all of these shots and they both got dropped by one shot from Charles. Imagine how perfect those shots were by Charles
