Everyone went nuts when the 4000 series was stated to draw this much, now nothing for the 5000 series? And they aren't "leaks" they are marketing information sent out to see how the market will deal with the 5000 series.
To all the broken-cheap people out there, Buying "price" is subjective, "budget" is subjective, don't tell me what to buy and what not to buy, I am going to buy the most "expensive" Nvidia RTX 5090 just because I can afford it, I don't see it being "over-priced" as all the people who say something is "over-priced" are down "under" bad themselves, so it doesn't matter to me, from my perspective it is under-priced, from your perspective it is over-priced, just gain yourself some "perspective", it is free.

Sure, AMD cards are way better--if you're into tech-themed escape rooms. Daily black screens? That's just the card keeping you humble. Hard locks that force you to reinstall Adrenaline? Clearly, it's building character. And when your PC boots up using integrated graphics because it can't even detect the GPU anymore? That's just AMD's version of a surprise feature. Meanwhile, every NVIDIA card I've owned-from the 560 ti, 770ti, 1070, 2070 Super, 4080 Super-worked straight out of the box with no drama. I didn't have to tweak settings, disable features, or reconfigure my system/reinstall Windows just to avoid crashes. But hey, saving $200 for hours of troubleshooting is totally worth it, right? Who doesn't love paying themselves in frustration?

Maybe you have money, but no brains. Overpriced means, being sold for price that's unjustified, and that's objective, regardless of how much money you have.
Perspective may be free, but it won't buy you a new graphics card. And sure, if you have more money than sense, you can upgrade your hardware as often as you change your underpants, but that doesn't apply to most people.

It's the same situation with Apple. They hear complains of over-priced stuff all the time, yet after (many) years their market share is only growing higher. You know why? They have hired one of the smartest and driven people in the world, and they know it!

No, manufacturers only produce to the specs Nvidia has designed, if you play at 1440p 16gb of vram should be fine.
