      Honestly I feel like the ps3 version of the game actually could have ran great and looked great if they leveraged more of the spu’s that the system had which could handle specific tasks in games extremely well, but then again the console only had 256mb of memory and was not random access memory but instead directed memory, and spu’s were very hard for developers to work with.

      the phyiscs are still the best
      just look how cheap and janky physics in AAA games like Cyberpunk and Starfield are
      destruction is weird, ragdolls are weird .. games are evolving backwards
      GTA 4 driving is absolutely addicting and always fun
      and many details are still better then GTA 5. The game sadly got downgraded in many parts.

      @@max.racingthe physisc are the most realistic compared to modern games. But the driving and character movement are clunky, it makes the game frustating and not fun
      Fun > realistic/accurate.
      So i prefer GTA5

    • @max.racing
      @max.racing Месяц назад +8

      @@mrizaldi7199 well then ur not aware how real cars handle
      my 1994 Honda Civic had a similar soft suspension movement when i drove it sporty.
      GTA 5 his highly unrealistic. those are just arcade physics which are easy to drive.
      GTA 4 has realistic handling. The game plays in 2008 and most street cars have soft suspension and not much grip.
      its only frustrating if the skill is not big enough to drive properly with realistic physics.
      only negative is that they went a bit overboard with the soft suspension in sports cars. A bit more downforce and acceleration/ top speed for sports cars would have made it perfect.
      the whole reason why GTA 5 has arcade physics is because people complained that GTA4 is to hard for them. Thats why they made it much easier.

    • @jerchongkong5387
      @jerchongkong5387 Месяц назад +1

      The main reason why GTA 4 is bad optimized is that, the real-time physics simulation is so precise and is applied to so many things at once that it makes everything become heavy, by disabling it you gain a lot of performance.
      Maybe that's the reason why it's not used much, plus the average gamer wouldn't take realistic physics into account if all they want is to shoot and kill people.

      Operating Grand Theft Auto IV at high frame rates, such as 120 or 250 FPS, can disrupt vehicle physics, leading to gameplay issues. To enhance your experience, it's advisable to cap the frame rate at 60 FPS. Utilizing the Fusion Fix mod, which includes a customizable frame limiter, allows you to set the frame rate between 30 FPS and a user-defined maximum, ensuring optimal performance.

    In GTA IV, I use the Lossless Scaling app, and it solved my problem. In Brazil, I paid R$16.00 on Steam, but in USD, it is probably cheaper. Lossless Scaling is software that generates FPS using AI, and my FPS are synced at a stable 60 FPS. Lossless Scaling also upscales your resolution (you can activate this option; it’s great for old games and emulators, especially those running in low resolutions)

    Your new video series are very interesting , destroying flagships with ancient unoptimized games. We like them. But there is no substitute for ancient GPUs destroying new AAA titles.

    Hey zWormz to fix the stuttering on GTA IV you need to put in a commandline.txt
    -refreshrate 60 or 120 with a couple of other commands,
    DXVK helps but you also need to config it a bit.
    Then after the config enable Vsync and it should be fine.
    Generally all you should need is Vsync at 120hz or 60hz though.
    (Rockstars Games running off the same variant of engine as GTA V don't like being pushed past 150hz specifically.)
    I would personally use 60hz for GTA IV though.
