I agree hundred percent, unfortunately the days of bands like this are long gone😓❗️ I think you'll agree we lived thru a very wonderful time(Best music ever)
Moody Blues!!!!! The best. Been in WI since August of "89. I've seen them 7 times and they never get old. "BUT"!!! Their last time in Milw, they were supposed to bring the orchestra. Ya, I was bummed. But I was with my family. That was the last time we really ever got together, but alot of that is on me. I not the best at being a father.
I'm a melancholy man That's what I am All the world surrounds me and my feet are on the ground I'm a very lonely man Doing what I can All the world astounds me and I think I understand That we're going to keep growing Wait and see When all the stars are falling down Into the sea and on the ground And angry voices carry on the wind A beam of light will fill your head And you'll remember what's been said By all the good men this world's ever known Another man is what you'll see Who looks like you and looks like me And yet, somehow he will not feel the same His life caught up in misery He doesn't think like you and me 'Cause he can't see what you and I can see When all the stars are falling down Into the sea and on the ground And angry voices carry on the wind A beam of light will fill your head And you'll remember what's been said By all the good men this world's ever known Another man is what you'll see Who looks like you and looks like me And yet, somehow he will not feel the same His life caught up in misery He doesn't think like you and me 'Cause he can't see what you and I can see I'm a melancholy man That's what I am All the world surrounds me... I'm a very lonely man Just doing what I can All the world astounds me and I think I understand That we're going to keep growing Just wait and see Wait and see That we're going to keep growing Just you wait and see It's comin'! Just wait Just you wait and see I'm a melancholy man That's what I am Just doing what I can
I´ve heard this song before, but I couldn´t remember what´s the name neither who sings. The film´´he never dies´´got me here to remember this wonderful song!
This song was written and sung by Mike Pinder based on a vision he had 50 years ago. Today I can so relate to what he’s saying. I’ve shared it with so many who are part of the movement of those of us who’s heads have been filled with a beam of light. If you can relate search the YT channel for Lorie Ladd a seer and channeler who has helped me, my wife and many friends realize how amazing this time we are living in truly is.
This always sounded to me like an outtake from “Fiddler on the Roof”. Mike Pinder doesn’t sing like a typical rock singer; he sings more like a Broadway musical character actor. Why Fiddler in particular? Partly because it’s simpler harmonically than a lot of musicals-certainly than those of, say, Frank Loesser and, of course, Sondheim. Maybe Fiddler’s not THIS simple, but then I did say “outtake”. I suppose the other thing is that at least three of Fiddler’s most famous tunes are in a minor key.
Классика , есть классика !!! Божественно !!!
It's pity how many people never heard or will heard this song and feel what we feel....W.Veteran from Croatia...

Man, if ever a melody ever matched its title!
In my opinion, they The Moody Blues, esp. their first 8 albums, are the biggest, I mean, the greatest music of the 20th century...
A masterpiece !

I know this is supposed to be about a Melancholy Man but it feels so full of hope to me!
This was played in the movie: HE NEVER DIED.Henry Rollins starred in it. Twisted, but good, and the song absolutely portrayed the main actor.
Emossionfull and lovely song
Классика рока... не стареющая с годами.
one of the best bands of the seventies
60s, 70s, 80s
Un monument du rock progressif. Patrimoine immatériel. Splendide. Cette musique traverse les époques et les âges.
In a beach, in Sardinia, there is a death body, it was a man, who was lonely at beginning...
“Don’t worry Abbachio, you did well...”

This Song really makes me feel Like i'm Beneath a Sky in the verge of falling
Rest in peace, Mike Pinder
I'm a melancholy man
That's what I am
All the world surrounds me and my feet are on the ground
I'm a very lonely man
Doing what I can
All the world astounds me and I think I understand
That we're going to keep growing
Wait and see
When all the stars are falling down
Into the sea and on the ground
And angry voices carry on the wind
A beam of light will fill your head
And you'll remember what's been said
By all the good men this world's ever known
Another man is what you'll see
Who looks like you and looks like me
And yet, somehow he will not feel the same
His life caught up in misery
He doesn't think like you and me
'Cause he can't see what you and I can see
When all the stars are falling down
Into the sea and on the ground
And angry voices carry on the wind
A beam of light will fill your head
And you'll remember what's been said
By all the good men this world's ever known
Another man is what you'll see
Who looks like you and looks like me
And yet, somehow he will not feel the same
His life caught up in misery
He doesn't think like you and me
'Cause he can't see what you and I can see
I'm a melancholy man
That's what I am
All the world surrounds me...
I'm a very lonely man
Just doing what I can
All the world astounds me and I think I understand
That we're going to keep growing
Just wait and see
Wait and see
That we're going to keep growing
Just you wait and see
It's comin'! Just wait
Just you wait and see
I'm a melancholy man
That's what I am
Just doing what I can

I love this sad, beautiful, hypnotic song. It can't explain it .... every time I hear it, it's like a suicidal eargasm. 🤷♀️
I love this song. The lyrics disappeared.
It's like somebody valuable were dead
