To my beautiful soul mate, Glen, today 45 years gone and still with me every day. Love you always! He turned me on to the Moody Blues in 1970 when I met him, I was just 14 years old and he 16. This song says it all. xxxx
All these years later, and I still love the Moody Blues. I've got several of their albums in vinyl. Late 60's/early 70's progressive is my favorite music genre....Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Moody Blues, early Yes, early Tull, King Crimson, Renaissance (Annie Haslam still has the voice of an angel), Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span...those were the days, my friend. I've asked Santa for a turntable.......I've got a great Technics amp and a big honkin' pair of Harmon Kardon speakers, both circa 1980, that work like the day I bought them. Just lacking the turntable.
I had a few EL&P albums back in the day and attended one of their concerts. I still listen to Jethro Tull "Thick As A Brick" occasionally. It's on RUclips in one unbroken piece, so you don't have to flip the disk half way through. The progressive rock era in the late '60s and into the '70s was fantastic. I also fondly remember "album rock", where there was a long version of a song, played on FM, compared to a short version for AM.
Yes, so beautiful Sharon. To be able to be grow up in the 60s and 70s and experience the music and lifestyle that we had and now be grandparents to 5 wonderful grandchildren. Yes! Strange and beautiful.
I'm sitting here in my car, in front of my very first real love's house. I'm sitting rt in front of his house and where he always had his '67 mustang parked. And the same '67 mustang that we always drove up the Lake on many weekends to, and aways... always listening to the Moody Blues. I'm looking up at the window where his bedroom was, and where the living room was where we were just content watching Tv together. And seeing the front door where I slid a letter inside that I wrote to him after a stupid argument we had. We were 21. Paul's gone now, he passed away. but I'm still here left with the memories that many times just seem to take me over. But as much as I'm hysterical crying rt now, I needed to do this. I know I better go now before the neighbors call the cops wondering why a strange car just stopped on this street, and stayed awhile, altho I Still don't want, or am ready to leave. Paul was 'home' to me. And it's crazy that after all these years I Feel it More than ever. ❣️ I love u Paul. And Ty Moody Blues.....
I, and so many others know exactly how you feel. It hurts so much, that you feel your soul is being wrenched out of your body. I also lost the love of my life due to my stupidity and arrogance and I remember each breath I took was agony because she was no longer there beside me. I had no choice but to get on with my life, but nobody, nothing, ever touched me in that same way. Then one day somehow, I was given a second chance and I've taken that chance with all that I have. It's not been easy but we're still together. All I can say is that I believe so strongly that you WILL be with Paul again one day when your time on this plane is over. Then together you can laugh, cry and listen to these beautiful songs over and over until you fall asleep together. Bless you.
@morningdove20... What an incredible, poignantly beautiful and sorrowful Tribute you've given for your Paul.. truly. The joyful & loving memories combining with the excruciatingly deep Regret sang through your Tribute, just like the strings section builds and crescendos the beautiful n sad emotions of this song... I hope you are doing better at releasing the regrets while embracing all the love & joy in your memories... While you remember that life's too short to hold so tightly to only the regrets.. As Khalil Gibran said in "The Prophet" ... In the chapter of :'on speaking on Joy & Sorrow' : " We can only hold as much joy as our sorrow carves" ... into us.. (paraphrasing now) : if we do not feel all of our sorrows we will only feel half of our joys and only laugh half of our laughter... (or something very close to the paraphrasing part! Best book ever written, IMHO.. 71 pages written from his Higher Self) Namaste' ~ Sha
Flute & harp are my favorite musical instruments, so naturally I was listening for the flute. Btw, panflute is my fave(Zamfir is the best)..he's getting old now but 😌
Absolutely a song that has great feelings and as I listen to for the 1 millionth time, my ears seems to focus on Justin Hayward’s beautiful Guitar 🎸 solos throughput the song! It has a great meaning in my life......
Happy Birthday to my granddaughter Ahna she turns 4 today . I wish I could be in her heart but mummy and daddy won't allow it! Happy Birthday darling girl you'll always be in nanny's heart and forever one with your love💞💗💫
My boyfriend just sent me this. He is the sweetest, kindest, funny, very intelligent and so handsome. Jeff Robson please may we spend the rest of our lives together. He is 61 and I am 66. I love you, Renée
The Moody Blues was one the bands in this era that did not fit perfectly into just one genre. Saying they are rock n roll does not totally fit and does not justly describe their type of music. That is what makes this band so great. Emotions flow out of their music and into our ears and effects our emotions. I could go on but want to hear the rest of this song.
My beloved uncle Nikolai wladomrivich once played this song for me on his old victrola. He said, ygor sergeyivich, some day York will seek you... I forget the rest
It is not wished' but "wish" I could be in your heart. When I listen to this fabulous song, I think of all people of the earth. With AI coming and we are not in the hearts of all others, we are doomed. If we are in the hearts of all, we get to live in utopia. Something we always assumed was fantasy we can now have it if we really want it.
I'm thinking of two sweet females friends pass away in December of 2019. As list to this song it's made have tears going down face. I'm to miss this two female's friends very much as 2020 come not seen anymore.😰😨😪💔
So is the death of my Wife. The hoops for Regions Bank. Not so for Wells Fargo. I found nothing of the sort in Alabama Law. But Alabama requires a Lawyer. Crazy.
The greatest song the Moody's ever did that wasn't a radio hit....simply superb.
67 and still enjoying the genius in their music.
61 and it took me this long to discover how beautiful this song really is. Oh well better late than never right?
Me too Brother.
@@susieturk1 Same here. Just found it and listened it many times. So lovely song 🎶💚🎶
Same here 🙃
I am soon to be 76, and I still love the Moody Blues as my favorite group. To meet them in person would be a dream come true.

Great song by one of the ALL-TIME Greatest groups.
Loved the Moodies in 1967, luv them now. ❤
Classic Moody Blues. ❤
Same here, age 63. Too bad they don't make music like this any more.
When we lose loved ones, we grieve and ask what is this thing called life all about.

Sounds like my album collection.
The Moody Blues were a group for the ages.
John Paravantis they still are.
They were way ahead of their time very similar to Boston in that regard IMHO.
My favorite group when I was a teen .... still listening to them from time to time
Never got bored with their tunes
They still bring me joy and magic.
Yes Magic they bring the experience of life put into music and lyrics and the Earth Sings as it spins in your Heart's Spirit.
WOW!!!! THANKS FOR POSTING THIS!!! IMHO: MOODY BLUES ARE A MIRACLE OF THE AGES!!!!..... THANK GOD FOR THEIR WONDERFUL MESSAGES TO ALL OF US!!!....
Sorry ! One of the best LOVE songs ever.!
Don't be sorry.
So many memories...😇
Word ‘Wished’ tells the whole life of ours Which makes me cry. Each time when I listened to this music takes me old days full of hopes and wishes.
Fantastic! Takes me back to better days!❤
Makes so much sense, a very hi melancholic expansion of my spirit. And yes, some quiet tears crave to wittness it, too.
It's amazing how good the music in the '70s was, compared to the crap that passes for "music" today.
ISN'T LIFE STRANGE ? BUT OH SO BEAUTIFUL......🙏😇🐦💞🌈🙏🙏🙏🙏
Yes, so beautiful Sharon. To be able to be grow up in the 60s and 70s and experience the music and lifestyle that we had and now be grandparents to 5 wonderful grandchildren. Yes! Strange and beautiful.
2023
To me, this song is very spritual, and uplifting in this world of turmoil!
The one and only MOODY BLUES!

WOW! I just saw that someone named Goodsell wrote basicly the same thing on another one of their songs.
The moody blues an iconic group❤
At LI amphitheater listening to John Lodge sing this song. Loving it!
Sad song obviously but a great song
RIP Mum and Harpo, wish I could be in your arms.
I've seen them twice. Both concerts were awesome

A terrific trip back in time. If you ever feel like editing a bit, I believe your "Wished"s should be "Wish"s. A minor detail.
