Love this one. I usually hate fabric capes, but it didn't bother me as much here. I wish sideshow and other companies would offer sculpted or fabric cape options. Or hell, even sell a sculpted cape separately.
I got Doom in last week and he looks amazing. Such presence and authority. The one problem, and you might have it too as shown in your video, is that the banner pole leans to the left when facing Doom. Others I’ve shown the statue to said the same thing. The pole leans like an inch to the left. Powerful piece though.
This Doom piece looks amazing. I don't mind the mix media on statues because you aren't stuck with an uninteresting pose on the Capes. This way you can take your time to position it which ever way it pleases you. Make it a personalized individual look and not all the same. I am getting the Sideshow Thor with the fabric Cape for that reason. I think this Doom looks fantastic.

I got mine today and his left foot doesn't sit on the base 😢 it's like 6mil gap and the foot peg and flag pole peg are so tight to get in and out..... So annoying as its clearly a quality issue. Any ideas how to sort these problems??? I don't want to send it back and risk getting a damaged one in the post.

The huge flagpole and cape do make it feel more than a PF. Crazy tall with the pole as well. Still the best bang for your buck… you’d have to go custom for a better one.

Very nice museum pose for Doom. I don't mind fabric capes but I just don't understand why he has a hood on his cape AND a sculpted hood. This feels like an oversight to me.
I'm ok with mix media, I love my Taskmaster statue even if it was a bit of a hell to pose the cape the way I wanted. Still, the idea of being able to totally remove the cape here is such a great addition. I mean with the imposive cape and the flag, you cannot really put anything behind this statue, but with only the sculpted part, you can reimagine the all setting. Just try to picture a light with a stained glass behind him or the portrait of his mother, possibilties are limitless!
The pole and banner are wobbly and janky looking. Too much mix media. Looks like a cool piece without the pole. Also agree with the portraits looking almost identical. Got to change it up Sideshow when having a multiple portrait exclusive
I have the last Doom sideshow produced. I think it was a way underrated piece. That being said i may have to replace it with this guy. I love Doom! Awesome vid!

Wow, it’s under $800?? Is it a 1/4 scale? It looks incredible, I absolutely love Doom, he was always my favourite Marvel villain. Love the cape, it looks great.
I like him a lot, the pricepoint is a bit over the top for me on a museum 1:4 scale. This is sorta one of those classic examples of calling something a maquette in order to charge more for it...
Only thing you might have been sleeping on (unless I missed it!) is that the paint on the armor has a color change effect to it. From some angles it will look a little purple, others a little teal. Pretty cool

I think it’s supposed to blend the cape to the hood. The cape part is more just slack, not a hood. I don’t put that over his head, just bunches up behind it

I can see the dilemma now since the hood is molded and you have to account for the transition to fabric which normally wouldn’t be an issue if both pieces were the same material. Tbh I would prefer a straight cape molded, but this is a amazing Doom statue generally.

That box is huge! I recently bought SS Doctor Doom on Throne but this one looks great, being my favorite character i may need to get this one too, i love the flag gives it a lot of presence. I would love someone to make a God Emperor Doom.

Very imposing piece. A bit of a simple base, but it doesn't detract. The portraits are great. I'm fine with no unmasked portrait.

I love everything about this sculpt, except how muscular Doom is. For me, it runs contrary to the image/impression of the character in my head.
