Thanks, and I had to do something to distract myself... I ended up getting and artificial cervical disc replacement in my neck which helped the crippling nerve pain caused by the herniated bulging disc. Sadly covid caused a delay in surgery and I have some long term/permanent damage to the nerve affecting my thumb and forefinger and sporadic areas in my neck area. Still way better than it was, so I'm not complaining...
@@VipersVideos It seems that a lot of people struggles to find a suppressor that fits this gun, apparently is not a regular 14mm. Did you had to do a custom job to make it fit? I liked the G&P Stubby - Skull Frog, but they are out of stock right now.

I was not disappointed as you see in my vids. I also darn near got a Gauntlet last year, and it's still on my short list. Umarex makes some really nice stuff that's for sure. @@rickeybullington6314 Thank you. This was a year and a half ago and I had neck surgery a month after this vid. I'm doing better than in the vid for sure.
Somehow I've gotten to see some SA-10 videos these last days.. But this actually must be my most recommended blowback pellet pistol. It just is that damn good. Good recoil, decent power and good accuracy, all in one. And the trigger is damn good for what it is and for how it works. The SA-10 is a simply built piece that just works. Not a pistol for fast magazine change drills - but for everything else. That holosight is a nice piece of kit btw. Very compact. Sweet! And very good mounting job if I may say so. I personally like modding airguns also, even though I do not think I'm now off to do this same thing to my SA-10. I just prefer the use of iron sights on a pistol - since mostly just shooting from 6 metres. A damn good video. Thank you! (And the pic-o-rama of the mounting job was not bad either btw..)
Thank you for the comment, and I agree it's got a lot of features for what it is. The red dot was only because I didn't have any other use for it, and it seemed natural to mount it on the SA-10. I used/loved iron sights for the better part of 50 years, but the last few years the old eyes and glasses struggle with depth of the sights and target acquisition for any precise aiming consistency. Now for point or quick semi accurate shooting, I can still handle irons for that!
Ok so im a first time viewer to the channel great vid by the way.So i have a bit of a concern im looking into getting this and the most recent reviews i saw on amazon for this has me a bit worried/sacred to buy and waste money as it says they fall apart or the slide breaks easy or after one day of good use. I've looked for genuine and recent youtube videos as well and want to know is it really worth the buy and what ate the true downfalls since you've had it?
Welcome and thanks. That's always a concern I have as well but typically I've gotten lucky, and besides some tweaks here and there, or replacing a screw, seal (gun model depending) etc., most airguns I've purchased have worked out ok to very well. The caveat to this is I don't get to shoot them as much as I'd like too so other than some of my guns being old age wise, most haven't been shot all that much. On the SA10, I've made 2 videos over 8 months and during that time I've shot it 2 sessions in the house, and 2 sessions outside (all differing air temps) for a total of 7 Co2 cartridges and about 400 pellets or so/approx. I have also taken the slide off (field stripped of sorts) at least a dozen times, and mostly when I was fitting and mounting the red dot sight on the top of the slide. * I am not sure what one person's "day of good use" is, nor how well they treat their stuff in general, or if they got a defective unit etc. So, given all of this for my use it's been a good reliable air pistol so far, but it's a mechanical device that will no doubt eventually break down at some point. How soon is anyone's guess. I would think that if you shoot it like I've said I do I suspect it'll last a good long while. On the other hand if you shoot it and treat it like a swat or military training tool, shoot the living snot out of it and beat it like a rented mule, well it might not last too long without an early break down. Not sure how long it is, but Umarex should have a warranty on it as well. If I had it to do again, I'd buy it for sure. YMMV and good luck with it if you do buy one!
I am very happy with the SA10. I only shoot wadcutter pellets. Always oil tip of co2 tube, 12g tube good for 48 strong shots. You must paint front sight. If you align the top of the front sight with the rear sight gun will shoot high. If your front sight is painted, you can align the top of your painted front sight with the rear sight dots and you should hit bullseye.
Sick build! I just ordered one today but its on back order. Wont be in stock till the 23rd. I order a flash light for mine. Also looking for a holster to fit with the light on
I don't remember where the laser came from. I bought it about 25 years ago. There wasn't a lot of options back then. It was not an expensive brand. The mount is actually a FAB Defense flashlight holder from about 10 years ago. Green laser light is easier to see outdoors, but typically more expensive. So I guess if you are planning to shoot mostly outside, save up for a green laser. But if mostly shooting inside, then red should work out well for you.
@@VipersVideos They don't. Nothing that fits this works. But why would you want it to? No need. The viper fits like a glove and does fuck all. Just wish they did the SA10 without the bell end.
I have a question I just bought the umarex sa10 and I wonder is it absolutely necessary to lubricate the co2 before putting it in the magazine ? (sorry for the bad English)
At some point yes, it will be necessary as the internal valve assemblies have rubber/silicone seals and orings that will dry out as cold Co2 blasts through them over time. Now, if you don't use any oil I understand it will just lead to more potential for leaks and seal replacement quicker than using a drop of oil at least every other cartridge or so. Silicone or similar non-petroleum is best I've read.
I shot about 50 pellets since new in 2 years now the main valve at top of magazine is leaking air both ends - the co2 contact is good- oil does nothing- any knowledge of a fix besides what everyone else says buy a new magazine? Then I get maybe 60 pellets out of another new one? Not impressed
Man that's a bummer. If you used a drop of oil during cartridge insertion, didn't store the mag with co2 charge in it, and otherwise followed the care and maintenance in the manual, seems like a problem mag or something odd happened? I picked up an extra mag just after I got the pistol just in case that were to happen to one of mine.
I just got a SA10, i've been shooting 4 times in 3 months and around 10 co2 tanks, but the last time i shooted, the magazine do not rotate, i just add oil to the trigger but it just worked for 3 shoots, any recommendations?
Not without seeing it, or taking it apart to see if the parts are moving correctly, broken, etc. If you are comfortable taking apart and checking it, maybe you can see the issue? Otherwise call Umarex and or send it in for repair?
Yea. RWS ammo at least (as an example, based on personal experience) sometimes can seem to be a bit loosely fitted in these type of plastic rotary drum magazines. They can be able to move (especially if carried around loaded long before actually shooting) slightly out of the drum mag bore and then lock the rotation ability. Crosman Match pellets always seemed more tighter to be loaded in these type of magazines than RWS Hobby/Club/Meisterkugeln (my used RWS pellets). But I mostly though even so do shoot 7gr RWS Club pellets myself since them being very good. I just load them just prior to shooting.
@@mb-miguel7790 what type of pellet ear you using? Mine keeps jamming with wad cutters and rounds nose by Crosman and H&N field targets.
