Oh boy I always confuse and blame myself everytime I have blind stem on my roses it's happened very often sometimes the whole pot didn't give bloom at all. Thank you my dear for sharing your cocktail mix which I would say rosetail mix 😄

Well done Dilly :) I wasn’t expecting the magic cocktail I didn’t realise this, but thanks for explaining what you do.
My blind stems I just cut mine back but as you know I left some alone completely just to see and there was no movement at all. The stems just remained stagnant for an eternity.
Also the other footage blind stems can come from too much shade and as I found out last year with my potted roses, not enough nutrient’s.
But I’m pretty sure the reason this year we are seeing so many is as you point out in the video the cold weather with early foliage.
I think it’s worth checking our roses looking for these blind stems because with no action they just seem to do nothing. Well done Dilly. I hope your video leads to some folk having a few more blooms in there garden this year :) well done

Thank you so much for doing this video and enlightening me about this problem. As I am new to roses I didn't even know it was an issues.
I now know what to look for and how to remedy it. Although not all my roses have this problem, but because of your video I can look forward to a rose garden with much more roses, thank you again for helping me achieve that :)

Very good informative video. I have noticed few blind stems on timeless purple rose ( HT ). It is in a large container. All my container roses had good balance feed, end Feb and doing exceptionally well. I will cut these blind stems halfway and hope to achieve success. Thanks for sharing such a helpful video to address common rose issues. 👍

Epsom salt 2 tablespoons in 5 L of water. There is instruction on the other ingredient. Depending on the volume you are going to use. Thank you very much 🌹❤️

This was very interesting. How much Epsom Salts do you use please? It is also very good for Ericaceous plants.

My rose plant is just 3 month old. In 1st month it gave 3 beautiful flower buds. but after that I only see the stems growing and there is not even a single bud in any of the shoots! Should I cut all the shoots? It is extremely hot in my area right now (45 degree celsius) and also the plant is quite small.

Your roses quite young . Probably try to feed them as it was explained on this video and hope you will see the growth. 🌹❤️

Thank you for your tips. I’ve heard of Epsom salts used in plants. Mostly used by Hosta growers to intensify the leaf pattern/ colour. I have some Epsom bath salts that I don’t use, I wonder if that would be ok to use on plants ? I’m afraid to try as it’s meant for skin not roses😅

Hi Lin. I buy epsom salt from garden centres and dont think would be good to use bath epsom salt. Maybe some artificial ingredients included in bath version to add aroma or colour. I am not really sure about additives but to be on safe side i would recommend to use epsom from garden centres. Thank you 🙏🏻🌹❤️
