    Hello Linda, your garden looks pretty and in order. You must have finished dead heading. Mine has a lot to do before I can show it. Your roses are beautiful and healthy. I love your collection of Clematis and their lovely names. I only got a few of them in my garden. I almost got a Ghislain de Feligonde in my trip to Sangerhausen last week but my son really liked a lilac colour TH rose and I have already chosen Chandos Beauty, thought of the space in my garden, I just let it go. I saw the tallest Ghislain there full of flowers and buds but already wilted. The climbers started early blooming this year already mid May. Sweet honey is not easy to find here in Germany, Kordes stop producing them and I need to source it from realiable shop. You have Comte de Chambord and Jacque Cartier, they are old roses with incredible scents. I got them too but still a baby. Thanks for the garden tour. I enjoyed it very much! Gute Besserung for your colds. 🌹❤️

      @rosegardengems Hi Gemma, thank you so much for your lovely comments. You have some stunning roses and clematis there is so much choice and lots of lovely combinations they compliment each other so well. Chandos Beauty is a beauty you chose very well ! Ghislaine does need room she's not one you can squeeze in easily I don't think. Hope you can locate Sweet Honey she is crammed with buds and flowers. Thanks again for watching it's much appreciated, hope you are enjoying your wonderful garden this week, take care.

    Wow! Everything's looking so lovely in your garden Linda. Your Ghislaine de Felegonde is looking absolutely gorgeous. Mine's more or less finished for the moment so I have yours to enjoy now. Re. your comment about Ghislaine, I don't think I could have too many in my life. I'd gladly make room for another. I'm amazed how well your young one is doing too. Your Rural England is looking really good too. Again, mine has more or less finished although there's still some flower on the smaller of the two. I'll dead head when it cools down - over 27'C today. 'Only mad dogs and ........' weather. I like your colour combinatons too all with so many roses. What must it be like to lose your sense of smell like some who've had Covid have now got? Also of course, no smell no taste - they go together. I'm not suggesting you start eating your roses though. The blackbird was obviously agreeing with your comment about Blush Noisette too. I think the garden tour helped your cold; it sounded a lot better at the end of the video. I hope it gets better very soon. Your garden' looking really gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. P.

      @peterhaymaker7562 Hi Peter, thank you for your lovely comments, Ghislaine is lighting up my garden at the moment and with all this sunshine we are having she has decided to be mostly whites and creams now. The blackbirds follow me all over the garden they are very interested in all the goings on and they certainly get their steps in as they walk and hop around far more than they fly, sometimes we almost collide haha I cannot imagine losing taste/smell it must be very difficult, I do enjoy the scent in the garden it's very uplifting. I don't know where I would be without my garden. The cold is almost gone thank you, I had just taken a couple of day nurse tabs as I started the tour and I think they definitely helped me, I'm not one for meds but this cold has been a bit of a stinker. I hope you are enjoying the weather and your wonderful garden. June is such a beautiful month it seems everything is glowing right now, thanks again for watching and I look forward to your next tour, take care.

      @@soulgirlktf I'm glad to hear the cold is getting a bit better. Summer colds are always worse than winter ones. We're very lucky to have our gardens and enjoy gardening. I enjoy growing stuff and giving it away and then go to other gardens where people say, 'You gave me that'.Re your last sentence, I've just uploaded one taken today on a very hot 27'C+ day. Take care yourself. P.

    Your ghislaine and rural England looks absolutely amazing Linda as is your garden . I’m one of those few people who doesn’t detect any scent from sweet honey, maybe things may change when the bush matures. Long over due garden tour but at last we finally get to see its splendour.

      @kenvoong Hi Ken, the weather is being kind to us and the garden is enjoying some sunshine now. We've had some difficult weather this year very wet but things are looking better this week. Thanks for the tour Linda. Your garden is looking really lovely. I must get myself a Ghislaine with her being so neat. I'm continually sweeping/picking up fallen petals when the blooms go over. Did you grow your Snapdragons from seed? They're looking good too. My seeds didn't germinate so I had to buy some plants from the garden centre. I've thrown the compost on the garden so the seeds may germinate on their own with none of my care. I've had that happen before. Hope you get over your cold soon and that the builders don't cause too much upheaval. Will be worth it when everything's finished. xxx

      @wendybartlett6717 Hi Wendy, thank you for your lovely comments. Ghislaine is very tidy she doesn't drop petals everywhere and she is almost thornless too so you don't get any nasty bites I've had a few this week in the garden from other roses with thorns half inch long, the back of my left hand looks like I've been in a fight ! My fault no gloves. I should dig one of Ghislaine's many children up for you, I think I have over done it with Ghislaine's now she's everywhere ! I couldn't think of a better home than your garden. The snapdragons, the taller ones, I did last year. I left them in the ground they came back this year, they are huge now, they are almost as big as a rose haha how did that happen? I did do some from seed this year but they are tiny in comparison, such a shame yours didn't germinate but they will no doubt come up when you are not expecting it. The landscapers are working well they are very neat and tidy which is a wonderful surprise, you always imagine the worse don't you but so far I'm delighted, they've started on the patio today it looks very different already. Hope you're enjoying your garden and this lovely weather, take care xxx

    Thank you for the tour of your garden, looking beautiful and I really must stop looking at other people's roses as I look and suddenly I think I'm sure I have room for that one more rose lol . I have a Ghislaine and I agree with you, everyone should have one :) the flower maybe smaller but the sprays are so many and seem to last. Chantel rose looks very attractive. I dunno why I can't resist a rose especially a pink :/

      @Gez_rosa_newby Thank you so much for watching Gez and I know what you mean re. other people's roses our wish lists get longer and longer but there are worse things to be addicted to. June is such a lovely month for the roses and the weather is being kind to us now, I'm very grateful the constant rains have stopped. Chantal Thomass is a pretty rose with a wonderful fragrance and she is on the pink side of apricot - sorry I'm not helping ! I hope you're enjoying the lovely weather, I bet your garden smells amazing right now, take care.

      Not all my roses have a scent, I know some people don't entertain a rose that has no or little scent , I sometimes wish I could do that, however for me a beautiful rose is hard to resist even without scent.
      We are indeed having some great sunny days helping our roses, and I'm sure the same as you, it's such a blessing to walk in the garden and have the different scents waft around. I am not able to distinguish the different scents like some, all I can do is take a sniff and exclaim Wonderful:)

    • @soulgirlktf
      @soulgirlktf  3 дня назад +1

      @@Gez_rosa_newby I feel the same, not all my roses are scented but the majority are and I do enjoy a good sniff, it's uplifting. It doesn't matter what the scent is if you are enjoying it Gez, then that's all that matters you don't need to be able to identify notes as long as you appreciate it and you obviously do very much. Hope you are having a lovely day, take care.

    You've had to wait a while, but now things have really got going haven't they Linda? You must spend whole days keeping that garden looking so tidy and yet so full of colour. The planning that's gone into it is obvious - I'm more of a slapdash let's see what happens sort of gardener. I envy your nose that you can smell so may things even with a cold (hope that disappears soon) - after seeing your video I stuck my nose in my Sweet Honey for a full minute today and I think, maybe, I did smell something, but that may have been autosuggestion. Unfortunately we have a potted wisteria in the front small patio area which I can smell very definitely, and it suggests to me a comfort stop for cats passing through - but my wife finds it unoffensive. Smell seems to be a very individual thing. But it seems unfair that my sense of smell seems more attuned to the nastier smells. The different colours on roses is something I am just beginning to be aware of. I bought a bare root Meteor rose last autumn and the first flower was dark red but now new flowers are coming out orange, and my first Eustacia Vyes were pink but now new ones are getting orange/yellow tinged centres, and Sweet Honey seems to turn pink - in fact at the end of last year I was wondering why a pink rose was named after honey.Or are my eyes letting me down as much as my nose?

    • @soulgirlktf
      @soulgirlktf  4 дня назад +1

      @nikkonch Thanks Nik, scent I think is different for everyone. I don't have wisteria so I'll take your word on that ! Many cannot detect Sweet Honey, so you are in good company. Yes I've noticed Sweet Honey turning pink too, the weather and temperature can alter colour, Sophie AKA Gorgeous (unknown rose) but that name has stuck, she had some very pale pastel pink blooms on her last year and that looked really odd as the other half of the shrub was the darkest pink :) Hope you are enjoying good weather in your lovely garden this week, take care.

      @soulgirlktf  2 дня назад

      @michelleburt3946 Hi Michelle, thank you for watching, that is a rose that was here when we bought the house 2 years ago so I'm not sure who it is as we never met the previous owner to ask. I did think it could be Sophie's Perpetual but I'm not sure now that it is, she's sort of earned the title 'Sophie aka Gorgeous' ! I wish I could give you a better answer but I just don't know, thanks again for watching it's very much appreciated.
