Very nice, just after they single tracked it. I was a kid in the 80's and this brings back a lot of memories. When they took down the telegraph poles, it kind of lost something. It's funny, a friend of mine who I have known for years, who I used to go train watching with, is now an engineer for CSX on this line. Thank you for posting.
There was always lots of CN cars when it was still Central Vermont. NECR is fun to watch with it's six axles and rotating power from Railtex but the line had way more character when it was the CV.
Nice vid the GEEP with the yellow nose is currently on my work bench waiting to be painted it must have been an omen to get er done boy do I miss the CV as my name implies it was one of my favorite roads. Thanks for the posting if you have more CV stuff put em up. I was the first to watch this one cool!
Anyone have any info about the curiously very far from home NJ Transit passenger coach at the end?
Wow, A P&W boxcar.
I live in Mansfield Depot Connecticut where the CV used to ride through before NECR was passing the area.

And still to this day, Palmer is exactly still the same.
I can't believe how different Palmer looks now.

2 railroads, 7 trains and no vandalism (a.k.a. graffiti) - ah, the good old days.
Great video ,i loved to see those CV Geep 9s in action
Nice shot of the CN caboose. CV was probably the last railroad to discontinue cabooses.
@cvgeeps Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. There is some other CV stuff on a few of BKVP's programs. If you have any questions, please ask!
Nice to go back in time and see trains with no graffiti on them!
Nice old Conrail video, like a trip back in time.
