Apparently Eagle One didn't get the memo that people wanted this because it is "out of stock" and "discontinued" on every site except for the scalpers on ebay! I guess it's time for an updated video because we can't use this one anymore.
no reason not to have an iron remover in your arsenal @ $5 a bottle. I had iron-x before eagle 1 and in most cases eagle 1 does just as well, unless dealing with seriously bad contamination like iron pitting into the paint.
I was lucky about 6 months ago and found meguiars d1801 on walmart sight for like $30/gal. Kicking myself in ass for not buying more. I will try to compare meguiars 1801/eagle one
Those are some serious pants there, Alex! Respect. Something tells me I dont think I could pull off pants like that.. wearing them myself I mean, not removing yours.. 😁👍👌
That's nothing, when I spray white cars, there's way more purple. I use Adam's Iron Remover, cheaper than CarPro IronX or Optimum Ferrex, both of which seem to do the same thing. WhistlinDiesel did an iron removal video early on that also showed a lot more purple.
Unfortunately the Walmart here in my area doesn’t carry the Eagle One anymore. I’m in Tampa and I’ve checked about 5 or 6 different ones and none of them have it. When I ask to see if they can check to see if it is coming back in all they tell me is it is discontinued.
I have really enjoyed Eagle one sense you first pointed it out. I love the fact that I can pick it up any where. I am not a pro, I just take care of my own cars. Anything that helps clean quicker is a win in my book. Thank you sir.
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing I agree I would think you would want to let the liquid spray do some of the work for you before you try to clay.. I saw Wilson auto detailing doing it in reverse order yesterday I was a little surprised
@@waxmanvids5015 yeeeeaaaahhhhhh but honestly the iron remover came out of necessity because clay obviously won't remove all the iron that is embedded too deep and likewise iron remover attacks iron not embedded dirt so it's not a big deal to clay first first especially during a wash.
Do you have final exam ready to go for Alex when she finishes her training course? She's such a doll and so enthusiastic. I could watch and listen to her all day.
Maybe next time after the rinse off, spray each again but on top of the other's side to see if it picks up iron that the competitor didn't. I'd like to see if the rear door would get all purple again if you hit it with the Eagle One after the Meguiar's. And of course, to appease the front getting more iron commentators, do the other side of the truck in the opposite way so it starts with Eagle at the rear.
I have been using eagle one for about a year so its easy for me to see it outperforms meguiars but with that said, I would recommend you try both and see what you think
I understand your point but meguiars still struggled to remove the iron THAT was present on rear door. It took longer and it's more expensive. Feel free to try them both out but eagle one is my pick
@@dallaspaintcorrectionautod8343 Wish I would have seen this video yesterday before I purchased a $23.99 bottle of the Meguiars :( But that's okay...going to save money from now on :) Thanks Scott and Alex.
This truck hasn't been decontaminated in over a year. It still took longer for meguiars to react to the iron that was present on rear door. Try them both out for yourself but for me eagle one is faster and cheaper. Winner in my world
I save the Meguiar's iron remover for the annual heavy duty wheel cleaning. I use the cheap Eagle stuff for monthly wash. The Eagle one is obviously better in my opinion.
@@novelty2849 I would definitely use the cheapest one. For paint work, you don't need the other degreasing and tar removing power of an expensive iron remover. You just want the iron remover. Hey Alex! Why don’t you specify exactly what product you’re talking about? Eagle one makes a lot of different products. Just calling what you have in your hands “eagle one” tells nothing to your viewers. Get it? What specific product are you using?
How did you get the Eagle One Black & Plastic..I've looked all over online and nobody carries it .I did see one on ebay for about 12 bucks but I think it just a empty bottle fill with water..LOL.
Hi Scott. Big fan. Can you reply with the actual product names? Eagle 1 makes lots of products and I want to make sure I get the right one. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Funny, you turned me on to Meguiar's Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner as an iron remover and I've been using it ever since. Inexpensive and effective. It sure is stinky too though.
I can't seem the accept this comparison. It should be front door vs front door. It is possible there is less iron at the rear door to test the comparison. Now unfortunately Walmart stopped carrying it (maybe rebottling with new label?), so alternative product that is cost effective is needed.
Buy them both and see what you think. I'm cool with the comparison because I have used them both no matter what door I pick and eagle one works faster and its cheaper.
The demonstration and observations are good, but how did the panels compare after being rinsed? Showing the plastic bag test after rinsing & drying the panels would have been very welcome!
Remember a iron remover just goes after iron, so the baggie test would still feel other contaminants that iron remover can't remove and that's why we typically clay even after using a iron remover
Yet meguiars still struggled to remove the iron that was present on the rear door. Even when it found the iron on the rear door it was so slow plus this truck hasn't been decontaminated in over a year, plenty of iron on that rear door. Eagle one is cheaper and faster but try them both for yourself
Good video Scott but maybe if you do the other side and the meguiar in the front door to be fair because I think there is more particles in the front doors They are close to the brake rotors so they take more brake dust.
I have done it both ways and eagle one works faster and its cheaper. I would recommend you buy both and see what you think. I'm staying with eagle one for now
Eagle one was still wet and worked faster so I'm not sure just because meguiars stays foamy is an advantage because it still took a long time to react plus it was harder to rinse off car but I understand your point
I believe the Meguiar's Detailer RTU Iron Spray is different from their D1801 Wheel & Paint Iron Decon. I know the stuff comes in a gallon, which isn't always appealing to enthusiasts. Correct me if I'm wrong about the effect of the DRTU200232 versus the D1801.
