Great video! I really like the way you get information across in a calm no nonsense way, so refreshing. The mitre saw station is one of the best I’ve seen 👌👌👌👌

We've been interested in that Bosch, and we really need a proper station, very timely video!

I have the same miter saw and bought the dust port from Shop Nation, extremely please with it, well designed and improved the collection dramatically. Well done sir!

Thanks for watching! Mine finally came in the mail and is installed. It's certainly an improvement over the factory dust collection.

Careful with bevel cuts as anything greater than a ~31° bevel is likely to cause the dust port adaptor to hit the fence. I learned the hard way but the folks at ShopNation were incredible!

When you have a cool mitre stand like that, I would be itching to get to use it.

Well done. Face frames are the hardest to make, but they do hold up nicely. Drawers are the worst.

@@hillbillychic3933 I ended up playing the video through three times.
I had to step away and forgot to pause it on the second go round.
I didn't realize FORMICA had gone up in price that much.
The edge cut...or whatever that would be called....detail? is nice. I like that
I used to use red oak for counter top edges years ago.

I just bought a 4x8 sheet of Formica from Home Depot for $56, online. Although, I bet pricing is location based

@@MikeP-14 What are you making with the 4 x 8?
I went to the Annapolis Boat Show a long long time ago.
You basically are invited to walk around some swanky big boats.
I was lucky, and had a very attractive girlfriend in tow so we were invited onto all the big boats.
I noticed in the bathrooms.... ( I'm not even close when it comes to owning a massive boat...so it is a bathroom and not a "head".
Ahead is a direction I would like life to go ).
The ceilings had mirrors making the tiny space look larger.
This gave me the idea to use high gloss, special order, FORMICA white to cover the ceilings of my bathrooms.
Never paint again, and just wipe the ceiling off once in a blue moon.
      5 x 10 were the sheets I would order.
Long story for what could of been said in one sentence.
"Every put FORMICA on a bathroom ceiling?"

@@Dancing_Alone_wRentals I am building a workbench for my garage with all of the storage underneath. Honestly, I haven’t thought about Formica in a bathroom or ceiling, but that could be really handy if you’re remodeling a trailer or something and going to use it for rent. I’m not sure if I’d like the smooth surface on a ceiling.
Having said all that, I have been thinking about all of the ways that FORMICA could be used, but I think I’m the only one that thinks it might good viable in certain scenarios.

Good job Paul. Yes, it looks like ash. I agree with you on cabinets, I find them both brain numbing and brain confusing 🤣 I would be interested in hearing if the Bosch stays aligned/cutting true. I like its space saving design. Stay dry from the storm...or have a sub handy.

We had 5" of rain in the last 24 hours. We needed it but over a 5 week period would have been better.

    • @hillbillychic3933
      @hillbillychic3933  3 месяца назад

34" but maybe should have been 36 because it's pretty tight when I go beyond 45 degrees.

  • @Mostviews111

I don't know why people think they need a fence for a miter saw the only fence you want your board to make contact is the one on the miter saw.

We'll see how it goes.. I mostly use it to break down lumber so I don't think I'll miss it.
