The sound that the f1 car makes is probably the all-time best out of any f1 car from any era. It just screams in your face, even from a distance and roars even louder and louder. I miss that sound so much
It is not about the fact that he won 2 Championships. It is HOW he won them (and how he ran in every race). With ballsy, courageous moves, always fighting, always fair (no matter what who he raced), taking out the best from weak cars and really, really bad teams (yeah, I'm looking at you, Ferrari of 2010-2014) Whenever he raced, he gave his all and did it in a spectacular fashion. I am so happy to see him back!
In terms of looks or aerodynamics, the Honda or even the Toyota were more beautiful in 2006. Of course it can’t be an objective point of vue so why not the R26. But it wasn’t even the best performing car that year. Fernando did a wonderful job with it. The season was awesome, as Formula One was back in the days.
CreativeCat276 Good catch. But I was thinking more about the idea behind DRS, which was supposedly that F1 didn’t have enough passing, and I believe that many of the greatest passes in history didn’t require DRS. My personal opinion is that artificially created passing isn’t necessary. Even today, I’m sure that Max, Lewis, etc would find a way.
@@bcal4877 Its not that easy as the change of the rules and settings, especially in aerodynamics as well as the natural progression of technology in that department created a world in which driving behind somebody makes the car so much more susceptible to dirty air which wasnt as bad back then so they made DRS. Also at that time they had tyres that hold throughout the entire race and pit stopped for fuel, another huge difference as the softer and more fragile tyres quickly degrade today when fighting heated battles or just doing 2-3 really fast laps. All in all these changes certainly made sense from an economic point of view but for fans and I believe drivers too it kinda sucks. I remember Schumacher stating in 2012 that he finds modern F1 so weird because no pilot may actually really try to take every corner as fast as he can because they always have to watch out for tyres, brakes, dirty air, engine and what not. And I agree with him, we actually do not see who the overall "fastest" driver is, we see who manages his resources best and pushes at the right moment when the circumstances allow such, which certainly has some interesting perspective to it as well but I think most fans prefer more raw speed and skill to move cars fast around corners instead of driving cautiously to not ruin your car or your tyres.
